Perfect dives. The best till now!!. Turtle's octopus and lots more. Ww2 wreck was amazing. The dives were very good coordinated and relaxed. Nothing in a hurry. Safety briefing and dive briefing all in order. They even made a lot of very nice picture to remember. If you want a nice dive spot were not everyone is diving ask Jeffrey or lisa. Thank you very much and see you a next time.
Last month had a great experience with my first PADI Course. Jeffrey is a professional who follows Padi's procedures correctly. The lessons are at a good pace and you learn it really well. Do not be tempted by people who "just" take you with them for diving. Choose someone like Jeffrey and you will enjoy it for the rest of your life. OSU!
very small dive shop with great dive masters. Every dive was either just us or a very small group making dives more enjoyable. The owner took great pictures which were all FREE and emailed directly to us. Great dive sites and care for safety. I would dive with them anywhere anytime.
Jeff was great. Antilla wreck dive was amazing! Easy, convenient meeting spot, short ride to the dive spots. Arashi reef was very nice and we saw a lot of wildlife. We will return!
Jeffrey is an excellent dive master. He provided the perfect balance of autonomy and supervision and provided excellent teaching on how to dive more efficiently amongst a variety of other timely, on-point strategies. After two dives, it became clear this is the guy we want for our advanced diving course, so we plan to come back soon! Thanks for a great day!
UNSAFE - We were diving with a competitor this week, and saw Happy Divers s boat floating unattended at several dive sites over several days. If the boat slips the mooring, divers will come up in ocean to no boat - UNSAFE. If a distressed diver has to surface, often nowhere near the boat, no one to attend to a potential emergency - UNSAFE. As a master scuba diver, I would not dive with this outfit - UNSAFE.
Jeff is a great guide and a genuine person. He is thorough and offered tips and advise to help me as I only recently got certified and it's all still quite new to me! He takes great photos which he sends to you the next day and helped my partner take better underwater photos too. Having gone diving with 2 companies on the island now, I would definitely come back here first. Thanks for everything, Jeff!
Best Diving experience in Aruba. Jeffrey takes his time and explains each dive and takes your safety as priority number one. He also sends you photos of your dives for free. I have been diving with Happy Divers for 6 years and will continue each time Im in Aruba.
Amazing experience! Very happy with my instructor Lisa De Jong, she gave great instructions and information. She was clearly very experienced. Recommend it!
When I put my debit card on your payment terminal, I said that I would leave a review with my experience if I had to pay the full amount. The instructor responded with: okay is good. For the record. Here's the whole story:
My sister-in-law thought it was exciting. The instructor said to her: So you are the first to go underwater with me to practice how to get water out of your glasses. She did not dare. He said yes you can, come on. She said, very nervous: wait a while because I find it very scary and heavy. I just want to get used to it! Leave one of them first. Okay, the instructor said, then you. Well, that was me. His violent reaction startled me and I did not feel at ease. I also wanted to get used to it as we had just swum 10 meters with a heavy tank and had never done this before. When we asked if our men, who were also there, could first practice with him underwater, so that we could get used to the weight of the cylinder in the water and the tension could drop by persisting together, he said, no you have to go through it, come on, you will first go under water with me. My sister-in-law said, no sorry I don't want to be first because I find it scary now and I really don't like this !! Okay he says, then get out. Well, there my sister-in-law went back to the side crying on her back. Because I was anything but calm by now, I went after her 2 minutes later, back in the direction. My tension was only higher and I no longer felt at ease. I was also angry because I saw her swim back alone, crying, without any care from the instructor! Ridiculous! At least he could have gone swimming with her!
Our men did dive with him afterwards and had a good experience. After all, they had dived more often.
When they came back my sister-in-law asked if we now have to pay for everything since we hadn't even been under water. She asked if she could pay half for the effort and said she was really unhappy with his way of dealing !! No, he said, that is not possible, the full amount must be paid. So my sister-in-law said, fine, then a review. Okay no problem he said. Our men were happy to pay the full amount of their own, as they had had a good experience.
I am honest and am writing this review because my sister-in-law and I were completely overwhelmed and really did not have the time to get used to the water. We are disappointed to this day! After all, we are not every day in one of the most beautiful places in the world. A huge waste of our money! For us it does not matter whether it was 1 month or 2 years ago, we often think back and our money stays away!
Particularly bad for beginners. Do not try to relieve your fear and tension, but force you to keep going, if not, you may get out of the water and there will be no diving. To then have to pay the full bill while you have not been under water for a second. All in all, the instructor took 10 minutes and together it cost us almost 200. An instructor should relieve your tension, especially for beginners! This is our (my sister-in-law and my) experience from 2 years ago. When I think about it I get even more angry. Slightly late response, but I still want to warn beginners. Either the instructor had a bad temper or he didn't like us. Unfortunately we did not get a different impression.
My wife and two daughters (ages 15 & 19) dove with Happy Divers in July 2018 and can't say enough about how great this dive company is in taking care of all your diving needs. We booked a Monday a.m two tank dive - Antilla Wreck and Arashi Reef and a night dive to Hole in the Wall - Wow! There is certainly something to say about this smaller dive companies and Happy Divers are at the top of the list. My wife booked this company without much input from me - so my expectations were a little different not doing any of the research on this dive company. So, to be put it shortly - exceeded in every step of the trip.
Jeffery picked us at he hotel (Hilton) promptly at 8:00 am., drove to boat dock, introduced us to the dive master Alkia (sp.). We loaded or gear on the boat and headed out the the first site (10 minute boat ride) - Antilla Wreck. We had a dive briefing then got our gear on entered the water and started the dive. Literally when you start, the bow of the ship was directly under us. It was amazing - mostly being our first wreck of this size. By the time we were completed with this dive all the other boats started to show up - it was Great being the first one at the wreck.
Second site was Arashi Reef - we stopped here and drank a little water/Lemonade and enjoyed a few facts about the island/Reef and stories of other dives. We entered the water and dove the Reef - lots of turtles at this site along with moray eels and lots of other sea life. After 40 minutes, we boarded the boat and headed into the dock to return to the hotel.
We would of booked the next day (Tuesday) with Happy Divers however, they were booked. I will leave a review for this company when complete with both dives. They have a lot to live up too.
I will make it a point that every time we're in Aruba we'll book ALL of our dives with Jeffery and his team. They made us feel like family. As I said in the beginning - was so glad we booked with The Happy Divers.
Really a wonderful experience. I had not dived for years and I did not intend to miss this opportunity, which was much beyond my expectations. The Happy Divers team, in everything that can be said, is very professional and at the same time very warm and attentive to whatever you may require. Many thanks to Jeffrey and Lisa, I can only recommend 100% and wish them the best !!
I dove 7 years ago with Happy Divers and also days ago. I have been many places and dove with many dive centers and have to say that Happy Divers may be one of the best Ive ever used. Ive never seen them take groups of more then 4 people which is nice and Jeffrey and his crew are experts at handling divers both in and out of the water. They even take pictures and then send you a link to download the photos after your day of diving. What more can you ask for? I will dive with Happy Divers whenever I come to Aruba. If your staying at the Palm Beach end of the island it is very convenient as they take off from the pier in front of Hadicurari.
I dove with these guys today, what an amazing time. No nonsense, just diving. If thats what you're looking for, this is the place for you. I started emailing them with questions a couple months before my trip to Aruba, and every email was answered the same day, and every question was answered. 2 divemasters took a small group of 3 divers on the boat for a 2 tank dive, 2 wrecks, a couple reefs, and an overall great time. I got back to my hotel, and sat on the beach watching lines of people wearing BCDs with fins in their hands marching towards a couple large dive boats like a herd of cattle and thought to myself, I really made the right choice. Apparently, Happy Divers wasn't done with me yet....I just got an email from them with a zip file containing over 100 high quality photos & videos from todays dive. A+++++!!!!!
This is the best diving experience I could imagine. I dived before but I wanted to pass my diving certificate here in Aruba. I had an amazing time diving, and talking with Jeffrey. Let me be clear: you could not have a safer, clearer and happier experience than here. Jeffrey is giving you all the advices, keys and benevolent corrections you could ever want. Moreover, you will get the best underwater experience and photos of your life. Go for it, support a local company in Aruba, I guarantee you, you will not regret it
It was my 2nd COVID trip to Aruba and my first dives did not go all that well... So I was on the hunt for some place better and found it with Happy Divers Aruba.
We did the Antilla - the classic Aruba dive but this is for a reason!
Just relaxed, comfortable, and enjoyable - a perfect end to my vacation. I will be back!
I also greatly appreciate the pictures that were emailed after the fact - this was a splendid surprise/bonus.
We did two dives with Happy divers on Aruba. Since it had been a long time since our last dive we did a fresh-up first. We had two dive instructors with us just for the two of us. One did the briefing and fresh up and the other went along to make pictures. The pictures were sent to us without any extra charge (78 pics!). The divemasters were very friendly and proffesional and made it a perfect and relaxed day for us. Also the divespots were picked perfectly for us. All that was offered for a very neet price ($130 p.p.) including spottless and great equipment. I would highly recomment to go diving with Happy Divers! Wouter Poot
Professional and friendly, were very accommodating to my group of certified and un-certified divers. We all had a blast, would gladly dive with again and recommend without reservation.
My daughter (11) did her certification dives with happy divers and i dove beside them. They were very organized, professional, and safety oriented. My daughter came up with a smile after ever dive and was very relaxed even though she was nervous the night before. We couldn't of asked for a better dive operation for her to learn with. For 15 years i was diving with another operation in Aruba but i well be using Happy Divers for now on. As an added bonus we were given a link to download all photos that were taken during the dives.
Jeff was extremely nice and knowledgeable of the area. He was very helpful to the other divers that hadn t been diving in a couple of years. He is at the dock early, gear all loaded, and gets you out on the water immediately. We did two days of diving and were back by 11:30 both times. I dove with another company here (palm beach)and it seemed to me they were just about the money and nothing else. They took a lot longer getting you on the water due to lack of preparation. They loaded the boat with gear while we were there. Then made us come up early from both dives for no reason. They couldn t give me an explanation. To me time is valuable while on vacation. Jeff also is good with underwater-photography so he may get that perfect shot for you as well. So when you are deciding on a place to dive definitely choose happy divers Aruba! You won t be disappointed. I would give ten stars if I could.
Great dive today with Jeffrey. We did two dives. We are new divers and appreciated the great advice to improve our diving. We saw lots of turtles and a great shipwreck. I appreciated him also sending along the pictures he took on the dive. Small professional dive operation which I highly recommend!
Diving with Jeff at Happy Divers Aruba was a fantastic experience. He s very passionate about marine life in Aruba and made us all feel like diving with long time friends. He would share some photos and videos of your experience, which I really appreciated.
My family of four and another couple performed the first dive with Jeffery and a dive master at the Antilla, a WWII German cargo ship at a depth of 55 feet, and a second dive at an artificial reef at 25 feet. We are newly certified drivers and this was our first saltwater dive. Jeffery noticed that we struggled with our buoyancy in the first dive and gave us suggestions on how to use our breathing for buoyancy control. The second dive went much better, and we were able to enjoy it much more. Happy Diver is a small dive shop that can take the time to help you improve your scuba skills in addition to showing you the wonders of Aruba's reefs. As a Padi dive center they were also able to complete the open water certification for my daughter, who aspires to be a marine biologist.
