HLGU is a small campus nuzzled in a quaint historical small town. It has most of the comforts of city living. The people there were so kind and inviting. Can't wait to go back!

Stay away. The nursing instructors are inconsistent, and the policies of the department are not designed to encourage student learning. Go anywhere but here.

Even though it is billed as "Christian", it is very much a business first. $30,000 a year; how can anyone afford that? They also are very bad at communication with students on what classes they need. And, their sports kids are very free with the vulgar words. I am sad to say it has changed very much from the days I attended and Dr. Brown walked the halls with his kindness and grace.

Very Respectable place, all students are serious about thier education

This place is as hometown as it gets. The staff is super friendly and they are very helpful. This place does not have much do and it does not have a lot of degree options. I noticed it being more like a hannibal high school 2.0 more then anything. I would recommend going to Quincy university across the river instead if you are looking for a quality degree and have a school that is small but has things to do. Plus Quincy does have lot to offer and its not far away

The library staff is very helpful and will go out of their way to help you with your needs.

Hannibal LaGrange University is a wonderful choice for a Christian College. I have had two children that went to the college and both grew in their faith. One will soon become a physician assistant the other will be a science teacher. The small class sizes and teacher to student ratio has made this an excellent choice for our family. If you're looking for a Christian College that is truly a Christian College I could not I could not give hlgu a higher recommendation.
