Found the hotel online because of close proximity to children's hospital for needing to be there early the next morning.Front desk attendant was very nice. He is the only reason I'm giving it a 3 star. There were plumbing issues in our room. The toilet didn't flush very well and the sink gurgled and bubbled all night. The bed was a harder bed, not very comfortable. For the price I will definately stay somewhere else next time in town. And it cost $32 a night for valet and that is really your only option or find a parking spot on the street next to a meter. Michael was very sweet at the front desk and the morning breakfast package was nice. For 200 a night though, definately could find a more comfortable hotel.

What a disappointment. We checked out a day early. Our $100 "damage deposit"still has not been refunded. As members of Hilton honors we expect to find consistency and decent rooms and facilities. This certainly did not meet those expectations!

Update: they were a little slow with responding, I had to hound them down....but they did end up getting the A/C working in our room. 2nd night was much better than the firsts.

We are staying at this hotel right now. Adorable charming but the air circulation in the rooms is awful. I have sent messages on the app and I m getting no response. (My children are asleep or I would call on the phone) I understand it s the middle of the night but I literally can t sleep. It s so stuffy.
If the air worked properly or they moved us to a room with better a/c circulation, I could give this more stars. But not being able to sleep kind of defeats the purpose of a hotel.

Very impressed with this stay. It was a great place on the quite side of town. The rate from hotels.com had it at 80 a night. I loved the feel of an old historic hotel. The beds we prefect blend of soft but firm. The bathroom was a good size and the view from our room was superb! I will return here for my next stay in Birmingham.

There was hair all over the bathroom floor and shower wall. The fridge wasn't clean either. All of the staff were really nice and housekeeping came to clean right away, but they didn't check the whole bathroom so the hair in the shower was still there. My friend and I ended up cleaning the bathroom with the supplies we brought with us. Also, the hotel looked much older than the pictures portrayed. At least the beds were comfortable.

Very neat hotel in the middle of downtown. The room was very clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on.
The best part was the room's balcony. Three sets of double doors opened out onto a large balcony with a great view.
The staff was very friendly. Fair warning...no onsite parking except for valet.

Beautiful building! Overall the hotel is beautiful and rich in history which is the reason I chose this location. Valet parking is costly ($35 per night) so we chose to park on the street across from the hotel, but we never had a problem finding a parking spot. The room we stayed in was tidy, but definitely needed some maintenance upkeep and deep cleaning of upholstery and window blinds.
Most of the staff was friendly. Lobby always looked clean. The coffee and microwave area in lobby, clean as well. For the price, I would more than likely stay at a different Hampton next time we are in town.

Worth it! It is very clean, good customer service. Not mask friendly... but I had come to terms we were not in WI anymore and different governors do different things. However; by far one of the best places we have EVER stayed. My kids were in love with the suit. Valet was amazing. You pay extra (50.00) for Valet.. but even if you don t pay; they still unload your belongings- EVERYTHING. And bring it to your room. As well as when you are ready to leave.

I recommend this hotel! Worth you money. And you won t be disappointed!

Outstanding staff everyone was awesome. We had a wonderful time. Including the restaurant that's inside the hotel the food is phenomenal. If you're going to Birmingham to visit or to sightsee this hotel is the place to go. Is in the center of everything. There was so many weddings so many tournaments if you want to see a glimpse of a pretty bride this is the hotel. The furniture is very mellow/ romantic / cozy setting

Nice hotel! It is very charming and has an older feel to it. I think it s also used as a venue for events. The hotel is in a great location right in downtown Birmingham with a lot of walkable historic sites and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and staff were attentive. Breakfast is included and valet parking is extra however there are other parking options available downtown.
