Very pleasant environment for reading. Lots of good books too! Staff helpful and friendly.

The new library is very nice and it's well staffed. They have all the covid precautions in place too. As far as libraries go, it's a great place.

Beautiful building, good selection of all kinds of books.

I checked out a book when overseas with It, After explaining to the library and that I was going to abscond for a long period of time with this book,was stationed overseas for months and just got back With the book which was promptly returned. The librarians are saying they don t have it back but they have not done a shelf check to see. This is slipshod at best.And now I find out there s a collection agency hounding me for the 40 some dollar value of the book which I could replace on eBay or Amazon for like 15 bucks and I might even have a lien on my house. I pay over $10,000 a year in property taxes to the city of Hammond. This should not be the way I am treated.

It was good. Clerk could have been a little more pleasant when phone accidentally went off. Computer sessions are set for little time without extension even when no one on any computer. Otherwise, clean and beautiful. Front desk staff so pleasant and good at what they do.

It's a great place to find the information I needed

Great kids section. My babies love the library as much as I do. There are plenty to do for kids of all ages. They even have an handheld device you can check out while you're there and pick from a variety of videos to watch on it. It's a life saver when my one year old gets bored. My daughter loves the educational games on the kids computers and my son loves the oversized stuffed bugs that he can lounge on while I read to him.
