Actually, I give it a 3.5 star rating. The peaches are so sweet and juicy!! Nice store with lots of goods and fresh produce. I was disappointed in the "peach" ice cream, as it was not made with fresh peaches. It's made with a peach flavored additive. Did not try the BBQ or other food sold at the BBQ hut. There was a musician playing in the pavilion, which was nice. However, the owners should invest in some ceiling fans in the pavilion and box fans. Also, some seating in the blackberry patch, some fans or misting stations, and some cold water would make it more tolerable - since the store and pavilion are the only places to get drinks, and are quite a walk from the patch. Plenty of parking. If the ice cream had real peaches in it; and they had the fans suggested, it would be a 4 to 4.5 star rating.

Let's talk about the Hero of Terrell
Ham Orchards.
Open seasonally, they grow their famous peaches and black berries amongst other offerings and open for sell. Somewhere along the line they began offering bbq with their list of goods and began making a peach pulled pork which is delightful!

Bright, vibrant and fresh!

Very busy, couple hundred people but the lines moved fast, there was shade, a musician playing great gospel music and soon enough we had BBQsandwiches! They offer alot in a sandwhich with a choice of side as you can see from my pictures. Food was great. I reccomend this as both a bbq connoisseur and caterer.

Sit in the rocking chairs while eating and looking at the orchard! Fresh food is here! The ice cream is fresh from the orchard and barbecue sandwiches taste great, they have a separate area where you can add your sides and get your drinks at. Staff were very attentive and quick to pick up trays and clean.

Really enjoyed the bbq. We had the peach pulled pork sandwich and a brisket sandwich. The softserve peach ice cream was good although it was odd at first since it was frozen in containers, so not so soft at first. Due to Covid precautions there is no eating there, so we just ate in the car. They were fast and handled covid stuff like distancing better then many regular stores and restaurants. Everyone wore masks.

We went on a Saturday morning and unfortunately because of the rains the orchard picking was closed. However, the BBQ and market we're top notch and I couldn't stop myself from buying all the fresh goodies. Every employee was extremely helpful and super friendly

Great place! Good peaches! My husband loves the Moonshine Pecan Pie. I got some great nectarines this year too. All around good place to get fruits, veggies, peas, and other fresh, homemade products. I will always be a customer.

We've been coming here to get peaches for years and the peaches are always tasty. The staff is very helpful. When we purchased a box the young man always asks to help us load them in the truck. As they are open for 3 months there are dozens of varieties of peaches to select from over the summer. The only problem is that it's gotten too popular!

I, ie: We have and will always love Ham Orchards, they are like an extended family!
However, they have gotten way too expensive in these later days as a child and still to this very day my whole family, always look forward to the summers because of Ham Orchards!
Mum, Dad, Grandparents, siblings and all my other immediate family members, always enjoyed our Ham's Outings every two week's.
Now a days $16.00 for a pie and not a big pie is ridiculous,
fudge is way too high for the size you are given.
Sad that inflated prices really makes it hard to enjoy as the good "Ole days so summer Outings to Ham's are not the same...

The best peaches! Fabulous place. They've added at lot of other things over the years including a BBQ place out back and have berry picking times you can participate in if you're interested. I go mainly for the peaches. A little disappointed today because everything was in large supply except peaches which they were completely sold out of which happens now and then. This is unfortunate since that's primarily what I come for however I was able to get some other great items like okra, blueberries, peach cider, and peach preserves so I guess that'll do.

We began going to Hams 14 years ago, loved loved it and looked forward to the first peach ice cream of the summer. The baked goods, salsa and produce were a weekly staple in our home. A few years ago they expanded to include BBQ etc, that's fine, but the quality began slipping on their original specialties. The ice cream lost that amazing freshness and we stopped dropping in weekly for fresh veggies, bread, salsa with the overwhelming crowds. Our visits began decreasing and then stopped after my husband threw his fudge away after one bite. He was horribly disappointed because he bragged about their fudge for years. I miss the Ham's that you could wonder through and trust that what they grew or cooked always tasted wonderful.

Moonshine Pecan Pies are amazing I usually have to buy 2/3 every Saturday for the boyfriend. Unfortunately their cinnamon rolls are not being made this summer. My oldest son was ready to buy them all. They are so delicious that I bought him 6 last summer and they were gone the next day with a little help from me no judgement please. If you've never been please go you will thank all the people who left good reviews. Peaches are sweet, salsas are excellent, peach ice cream is wonderful.

Went on a family day trip to the place famous for their bbq, ice cream, and produce. We tried the ice cream first, sorry to say, my husband and I were not at ALL impressed. The kids enjoyed it but .... they're kids. We also had 3 different kinds of meat for the sandwiches. The BBQ I MUST say was truly AMAZING!!! And that says a lot coming from me because I've literally not liked BBQ from a single place known for their BBQ since we moved here 4 years ago. So, the BBQ is good. The flies are ridiculous but you're outside so not much you can do about that. So we only ate our ice cream under the covered seating area and brought it home to enjoy it. They had a musician singing and playing the guitar which was nice touch. We bought some peaches and the frozen, premade peach cobbler to warm at home. Hopefully its good. Lots of other fresh, beautiful produce and jarred goods. We will go back but NOT for the ice cream. It was very creamy but just didn't have ANY flavor!!!

Went on a Wed at lunch. Place was packed! You could hardly move in the store. Mainly took my boys 3 and 6 to pick blackberries, which we enjoyed. Neat area to eat and enjoy rocking chairs. The young ladies doing the fudge and ice cream that day were sweet and helpful but two young men who checked us out were very unfriendly even to the point of completely ignoring my boys who were trying to be friendly to them. Not many smiles or friendly interactions even as we attempted to be. Part of your job at a family owned place is to make visitors feel welcomed and appreciated (especially little ones excited about their experience).

Is definitely off the beaten track yet well worth the trip. Very easy to drive by it as it comes up quick on a 70 MPH road as I had to do a U-turn. Went on a Thursday at noon and the parking lot was pretty full say 100 people. A lot of retired folks out enjoying the hot day. Had the peach pulled pork as not usually a fan of pork yet this was great with no fat. Had the side of potato salad which was very good. Wanted to try the ice cream yet was filled up from the food. Next time I will start with the ice cream. Bought some peaches home and they are awesome! Worth the hour and a half drive and will be back.

I have been coming out to Ham's for years. It is good. It has gotten too ridiculous with lines and parking. It is actually dangerous out on 80 coming up to the turn in as people slam on their brakes and drive foolishly, looking down at their cell phones instead of paying attention. Ham's needs to consider adding a turn lane, hiring a police officer to direct traffic or petitioning the county to put a light there. Unsafe on Saturdays from either direction. A friend recommended going into Edgewood to Grahams as they have similar products and similar quality. 20 miles to the East. We did and it was great with no lines, no parking issues and no crowds, plus we got to see the cool street rod out front!

Amazing peach pulled pork sandwiches. I can eat them every day if I lived closer. BBQ RIB sandwich is what my daughter had and she wanted to get more to take home. We did. Love the little market with fresh produce, homemade desserts and breads and anything your heart and soul desires. We were offered samples of freshly picked FREESTONE PEACHES. So sweet and juicy. They're perfect right now and it's not even July yet. With all the rain we've had I was truly surprised they would have anything that amazing yet. The samples of no bake turtle cheesecake were great so we had 2. After buying veggies, wonderful jarred treats, and everything else we needed, the last stop was the famous homemade peach & strawberry soft serve ice cream. I'm allergic to milk, but my mom and daughter ate those cones on the care ride home faster than I've ever seen them eat anything. Trust me. These two are not big on eating much of anything. I honestly don't know how they're related to me because I eat for all of us. Anyway, Ham Orchards is Truly a delicious little piece of heaven tucked away in the sweet countryside of Terrell in East Texas. The people are southern and as sweet as their peaches. I can't wait to go back and sit in a rocking chair on the back patio facing the gorgeous blackberry fields again soon.
