Blonde female member of staff was incredibly rude....
Blonde female member of staff was incredibly rude. Came in with a group of 4 for our first time back at a bar for 6 months. There were only 3 tables in, we were told at arrival to find a table and wait to be served at the table. The other 2 tables kept going to the bar to be served, after 10 minutes one of us tried and she refused to serve us and was very rude. After another 15 minutes we tried again, after she had walked past our table many of times, clearly ignoring the fact we were there. When we went to the bar, she rudely refused again, with her attitude increasingly becoming worse and less professional, whilst serving other customers in front of us. We were there 45 minutes in total, and did not get served once, beside there being 3 tables in total there.
When I rang the manager, who was very polite and sincere, she suggested a reasoning behind this could be as it was the first night of pubs being open and it was hectic . As someone who has worked in the bar industry for 5+ years, and has worked in a bar during Covid, I can confirm it was anything but hectic. From our experience instance, we felt as if it was an attack on our appearance or age, what else could it have been? She may have seen 4 young men coming in and instantly thought we would be loud and obnoxious, but we were patient and polite. It is clear she taken a disliking to us the second we walked through the door, which was adamant through the way she presented herself and communicated with us. Will not be going there again, and would not recommend going to the bar if that particular bar member is there.
Rest of the staff I talked to seemed nice however.
