My experience with Hall ambulance was awful. The level of empathy towards my mother who was suffering from what we thought to be a heart attack was almost nonexistent. EMT T. Tackett and the lady that accompanied him were awful. They have absolutely no vocation of helping others. They kept making fun of my mother s condition and refused to give her any assistance when she requested a bag, because she felt like she was going to throw up. There were also unnecessary and rude comments made in regards to her inability to understand some of what they were saying, due to her native language being Spanish. Once in the hospital their demeanor changed when my mother told others about their behavior towards her. If my mother really was having a heart attack, her life could ve been in danger due to the immaturity of the EMTs present that day. I think it is necessary for them to understand that their job position is a very important a critical one, as they are dealing with people s lives. I hope no one else has to experience what I did that day. My mother could ve died.

I ve witnessed so many Paramedics and EMTs displaying bad behavior during calls they responded to and I ended up reporting one. I ve heard many stories from people who were treated badly. I ll just stick with my own story which fits a common theme with their staff: they think they are doctors. My son broke his arm at the park and was screaming in pain. I called them and they came and said his arm was not broken and he was fine and refused to provide us transport to the ER. They said it was not worth the bill even though I told them I have full coverage through medical. I then had to carry my 7 year old son 1 mile while walking home and him screaming the entire time. Of course I took him to the hospital and his arm was in fact broken. When I told the ER nurse what happened she acted shocked and disgusted and said that was not ok.

The medics were amazing but this rating is for the bill they sticked me with for a 4 mile drive, $2500 where my insurance only paid nearly half leaving me with over a $1k payment, no car (I was not at fault) still injured after 2 months, and unable to pay this bill. If I would have known I couldn of just taken myself on an Uber. DON'T USE AN EMT IN KERN COUNTY IF YOU HAVE A PPO INSURANCE, NO INSURANCE IS CONTRACTED WITH THIS AMBULANCE!

No issues with the medics at all, billing however will try to back bill you for the full cost!! What a crock! Insurance company states I do not owe the thousands they want, but Hall does not care... Stay away if you can.

Edit: I decided to call hall and negotiate my bill and was able to get 20% off. It s not a ton but anything helps. I m not happy at all by any means but it s over with. The lady on the phone was nice... probably fire the rude old lady though she isn t doing the company any favors. Got in a car accident in January 2020. Got a bill for almost $2300 a couple months later. I must also note that there were multiple parties in this same ambulance and they also made my husband crawl over the freeway divider after coercing him to go to the hospital even though he didn t need any medical care. Apparently my insurance at the time was not contracted through this company and covered nothing. We had no other option. When we spoke with the ambulance company they said they weren t contracted with any insurances... I find that hard to believe. I told them I wanted proof that other people had paid a portion of the ambulance bill in order to be sure we were not fitting the bill for the 3 people in the ambulance but they refused due to hepa(which I understand but still) so apparently they made like 7k from that one ride of like 3 miles. Now I m stuck with a huge bill and they just keep sending them. The lack of professionalism and transparency by HALL is definitely cause for alarm. How many other people have they screwed over? I will never willingly use HALL in the future, let me die!

I was choking on a pill as I am working on getting well and have a lot of atrophy all over. The first young man that came in was very kind, sorry I do not remember his name. SAM however, once behind closed doors in the ambulance, after already telling them the severity of my muscles and how not to touch me, that you had to be gentle....he grabbed my arm violently and hurt me bad. Pulled my should our of place and when I yelped he looked at me and sarcastically said "What's wrong with you?" Once in the hospital he totally changed like a chameleon and was more gentle. Shame on you Sam! It's not really fair we don't have a choice in who to call to come and They Know It!!!

Newsome and Chinn were fantastic with my mother, who had fallen in her bathroom and had lain on the floor for more than ten hours. They were punctual, professional, and kind. They treated my mom with respect and gentleness. They made us feel that she would be safe under their care as they drove away. This team made a sad situation much more bearable for everyone. Thank you.

I have upmost respect for paramedics but the visit we received this evening was from a pair of female medics who arrived on the #66 ambulance and they were extremely rude and insensitive to the needs of a friend who requested help for congestive heart failure and shortness of breath. They treated him like trash and spoke very rudely in a way that made it clear that they had no desire to help. I understand that current circumstances are challenging esp in this line of work considering the threat of covid-19 but the conduct demonstrated today by those two medics was unprofessional, inconsiderate, and borderline abusive with they way they were yelling at him once they got him into the vehicle. We could hear them from inside our house with the door closed yelling at him impatiently as tho he were infringing on them for needing help. Whether my friend, whom they were transporting, feels the same way about being mistreated will determine if there will be a complaint filed or not. It is not in my interest to attack or belittle ambulance workers as i do appreciate the service they are intended to provide but it is meaningless without compassion and humanity employed in their duties. Respect goes along way and im sad to say that it wasnt very evident in this situation.
