Haleiwa Joe's in Kaneohe is a staple: if you havent been there: go when it opens if you want the infamous prime rib (limited quantity available) but definitely go during daylight hours. They have a beautiful botanical gardens you can walk through and get a seat near the edge

Went here last weekend for my birthday. They were out of several menu items, 2 1/2 hours before closing. My friend tried to order the salmon, they were out. My other friend ordered the crab dip, they were out of flatbread for it. The worst came when, over 30 minutes AFTER we had ordered, the waitress came to inform us that they were out of mashed potatoes...which was the side for ALL of our dishes. She instead offered us rice. Wish we d known sooner, we would have left and gone somewhere else that had the food we wanted. And after all of this, there was no offer to comp any of our meals, nothing. Just really poor service if you ask me. For what we spent I expected better; I will not be returning.

Beautiful scenery and garden. The food, however, is not the best in Hawaii. They have some inspired dishes, but nothing that is exceptional. One thing is for sure, the customer service is incredible!

This place we just happened across. We had know idea what a gem it was. It was an hour wait, which gave us plenty of time to walk through the botanical gardens.
The food was outstanding. Open air dining allowed us to view a stunning sunset as we ate. Wait staff were all on target. I can't wait for my next visit.

Excellent food. We had the baked fish and NY strip. Get the pepper version. It's worth it. Sauces were phenomenal. Service was good despite being busy with a wedding party and 2 other large parties. Definitely a new favorite place and we will be back again.

The service and ambiance was great. You can't beat having a nice dinner overlooking a small lake while looking up at the misty mountains. The food was a bit under seasoned but still leagues above many restaurants! Definitely check this place out during your visit.

Great atmosphere. They ran out of the prime rib by the time we got seated which was around 8 pm so I would suggest that you head there earlier. There is usually a wait time of 1 hour but if you have to wait you can either order drinks or walk down to the garden and take pictures.

I, unfortunately found a hair in my dish (it happens, no big deal) so they took it off the bill. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

They have 2 locations, I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking to have a good meal.

We love going to Haliewa Joe's for happy hour and dinner. The location in Kaneohe is absolutely gorgeous. We always have great food and great service. They do not allow reservations so it's first come first serve. We usually try to hit up happy hour and dinner before it gets too crowded plus they have great happy hour deals!

We decided to stop in here while visiting this side of the island and it happened to be brunch time. We decided to stay and give it a try. Although it was pretty pricey ($26 a person) for the basics, the food was good. The drink prices are surprisingly reasonable compared to the brunch price. The guava mimosa was delicious! We will definitely be back here soon and we are looking forward to trying out dinner here! Oh and can you beat that view? I think not! Followed by a walk around the Haiku gardens after! Absolutely stunning!

I came here for my birthday to have dinner, I heard really good things about their prime rib. It started off horrible, we got seated over an hour after getting checked in. We watched people who showed up after us get seated before us. That was annoying but our server made up for it by being amazing. They food was amazing and environment was beautiful.

Expect a wait. But drive the H3 from Honolulu for the most beautiful drive you've ever seen. These mountains look exactly like the ones they used for filming Jurassic Park. Such a beautiful jungle. We didn't get to eat here because it was packed, but we thought it was worth it just for the drive.

If you get here early, the prime rib is a must. It's a dinosaur sized cut for a very reasonable price. Atmosphere is fantastic and staff are very nice. Place is so great, this is where my wife and I had our wedding reception.

One of the best five restaurants we ve ever experienced and we ve been to a lot of top end places to include The Bull and Bear, Oscars, Rainbow Room, Halls Chophouse and Berns Steakhouse to name a few. A must go in Hawaii. Do not pass this up. Make sure to get there around 5pm to have a great view of the mountain and the lagoon underneath.

Great location for a special evening or to take visitors. Beautiful setting overlooking a lake, three Koolau mountains and gardens. Wide selection of small and large plates, primarily seafood and steak items. The macadamia pesto encrusted marlin with mashed potatoes and lobster cream sauce was amazing. A wonderful evening.

I went to 9th on Sunday and went in without a wait. There are many locals rather than tourists, and the clerk knows almost everything.
Sunday is buffet style, but drinks and coffee are ordered separately.
The food is short rib. It's the first time I've eaten such a plain waffle. The local Hawaiian food was delicious and the meat was good. It's good to eat local food like Hawaiian dumplings.
The scenery is really the best. Let's see the scenery. Sitting a little inside the roof is cool, and it would be much better to take a walk after meals and enjoy the scenery.

We went on Sunday, which was bunch only. We didnt know that ahead of time, but we were pleasantly surprised! They had a pretty great spread, from prime rib to an omelette station to pastry desserts. My family all found things that we loved!

The drink was huge but pretty mediocre. My wife and I also had the baked oysters which were very good, and the seared Ahi which was pretty sub-par. Moreover, the restaurant had a college football game on like some sports bar when it's supposed to be a family restaurant. We weren't impressed and left after our appetizers. In short, we probably wouldn't come back.

Fantastic dining. I live on Oahu and have been looking for a place like this for ages. Beautiful backdrop, friendly staff and best prepared fish on the island as far as I know. Walk in only. Comparable to Mamas fish house on Maui.

Nice place and great food. Wanted to try the prime rib, but they were sold out. So we went with the grilled fish and the teriyaki top sirloin. Both were really good. Little bit of a wait but definitely worth it.

I like the view from the open-air terrace, which makes me feel like Hawaii. It's still open only at 16:30 due to the corona effect... I don't have to be a Sunday brunch, so I'm happy to have lunchtime
