Fast, efficient and everyone was very friendly. A pleasant experience, considering the circumstances.

I have gone to the school for a total of 13 weeks so far. In this time I've had a philosophy teacher that never posted assignments on time and needed reminded nearly every week, un anthropology teacher that stated, "Americans are uneducated" in a discussion board, and a computer information sciences teacher that is quoted in an email response to me asking for help by saying, "I am not an expert on simNet (our main program for learning), please post your questions in the discussion board."

Got my AA degree at HACC Harrisburg campus. This is the best campus. Great parking, professors and tutors!!! The librarians are helpful. The bus is convenient getting to and from campus. It is cheap. I started here and transferred. There's online classes available too!

This college was a great choice for me. I worked full time and went to classes at night.
The instructors where great.
I can only think of two that I believe were not up to their jobs.
I got lucky and had many heads of their departments. You get out of what you put into it. Education is no different.

Education, is training. You are studying for a degree. Work for it. Excell. Be your best. Achieve.

Do not attend this college. Classes that do not have a certain number of students will be dropped requiring you to wait until the class is full to be able to get the class for your degree. The president of the campus makes over 230,000 dollars a year but they cut the mental health professionals. They also cut many staff and advisors which we needed so students have to decide the class needed for them to take on their own. Many classes require prerequisite classes that high school age students do not have to take but older adults do. They discriminate against older adults but if you say something you will be verbally attacked. If you have any political points of view keep them to yourself because if it s not the school s view they bully you. Also it is impossible for you to complete your degree in two years. It will take you at least three or more because of a lot of nonsense and ends up costing just as much as a regular college for half the degree. Go somewhere better.

My professor's were great and spent the time to help us in class all the time. The only down side I had at HACC was a Female Security Guard was rude at times when I asked for assistance finding a classroom. She had zero compassion as I am disabled veteran and in a wheelchair. My professor heard and addressed it to the female security guard who then slightly changed her tone. Overall Security here is lacking basic compassion toward students in my opinion. Maybe giving them a raise or overhauling a few of them could create a better atmosphere for the students.

Hacc is a good community college its just my god do they hire some of the worst prof i ever have had. Litterally the profs here are so hit or miss. They will either be the best teachers ever or the worst. Normally this wouldnt be a big deal, but there are some majors that only offer certain profs..
