Wonderful organization I've donated hours at other locations before to help people get their own homes they welcome volunteers. Place is clean and very well organized. It's a Christian organization so they are closed on Sundays but HFH don't push religious beliefs. If your low to moderate income but have steady work it's a great way to help with home ownership and I've recommend it to quite alot of people I've come across.

Habitat for Humanity is great charity that supports the community in so many ways. Difficult to donate though, we filled out a Gifts in Kind form but since our donation was more that $5,000 we learned that we needed an independent appraisal. We were recommended The St. Lucie Appraisal Company, however, who did a great job preparing our personal property appraisal and filling out the IRS donation form. When you want to donate and your gift is over $5K call St. Lucie Appraisal. My highest recommendation for this wonderful charity.

Love to treasure hunt here! Nice inventory of many couches, loveseats, and easy chairs, along with a small offering of bedroom furniture & dining room tables.

They also usually have some household fixtures available (toilets, doors, plumbing, tiles, etc) as well as dishes, knick knacks, and a few books. No clothes. I usually find at least one gem each visit.

It's very convenient in that if you find something you like and want to claim it, you can purchase it, and they will hold it for you until you can arrange for pick up. They also work with a few affordable moving crews that often have people present on-site. They'll help you set it all up at the register when you're checking out. You can often get same or next day delivery.
Awesome if you don't have a vehicle capable of hauling furniture.
