A lot of would-be nice, all the old and the rest of the room in the room. Never.
Air-conditioning old-fashioned and ineffective, in rooms with sluts. The bar is a classless slow service.
Value for money worst hotel where I've been. And I've been in hundreds!
"Four Star Hotel" - kiss my ass!
I am disappointed the reception was less cold on arrival than at such, normally a free glass of drink on arrival in the evening c is what it was announced it is false I paid a juice 3.50 It's a scam and more on arrival they asked me for my identity card while the others not, I am French and I had a seminar the next day at the Faculty of Law and Political Science. Bad experience I do not go back.
If you really want to enjoy your holidays, Hotel Ellington****, Nice is the perfect place to be!!!
The staff is all very friendly and helpful, the always clean and tidy rooms have been recently renovated and refurbished and the breakfasy is just arresting. The hotel proposes a large variety of cold and warm dishes like the homemade biscuits and cakes, cereals, cold cuts and cheeses, bacon, eggs, potatoes, pan cakes, yogurts, fruit salad and fresh fruits, all accompanied by a wide selection of luxury brand of tea, coffees, hot chocolate and fruit juices.
You can start the evening during the Happy Hour with a delicious cocktail at the piano bar or the lovely cozy courtyard outside where you can spend some pleasant time in the fragrance of jasmine flowers.
The location could not be any better. Only 10 minutes walk from the sea front and 10 minutes walk away from the main restaurants, old town and the train station.
Since I'm a high demanding person I really recommend this hotel to everybody.
Charming home, quiet outdoor terrace for a drink c is top
Very welcome, the rooms are spacious, with rooms reserved for the disabled, the same elevators and the stairs are also laid out for! A very good value for money but still a good breakfast to improve the quality of food ... (Including the fruit salad). I highly recommend it all the same very good hotel!
Center close, friendly staff. Was here for the Nice Carnival at Place Massena.
A lovely place, good service and well located to visit the city.
Sympathetic little hotel within walking distance of the beach. Good atmosphere, clean rooms. Lots of restaurants nearby.
Wonderful hotel, magnificient decoration and location, in a walk distance easy pace to the Maritim Front - Le Promenade des Anglais and the beautiful Place Massena, a must to visit.
The staff is very polite, great breakfast, with a big variety to choose from, and a beautiful private garden were you can relax.
This is no 4 star hotel. Downstairs is fine breakfast was ok however our room was more like a room you would find in a hostel. The wardrobe doors didn't slide properly, the fixtures and fittings were sparse, and the housekeeping was poor. We wouldn't come back. 3 star at a push.
What a fantastic place no problems at all great staff nice bar and outside eating area breakfast was spot on also situated in an ideal spot handy for most things
very affordable price in Europe region, but please prepare yourself that the room is relatively small, but for a solo traveler like me is good enough since i have only one luggage. There have no walking space after lay down your luggage.
Undergoing complete interior exterior renovations at the moment
Positive s
Very close to the main city street and tram line. 15/20 drive from the the airport. Friendly staff. Good breakfast selection. Room was clean if somewhat dated.
Negative s.
Certainly not a 4 star hotel. Room was cold at night. Tried turning up the heat but this made the room colder. Wardrobe door would not shut, kept folding out. The room (104) must have been 2 rooms at one stage. Would hate to have seen it when it was 2 separate rooms. There were 2 safes in the room complete with Please put your valuables in the safe. The hotel is not responsible for lost or stolen items
Neither safe had locks !!!. Returned to room on Sunday evening (13th Oct) to find the room door open. Obviously room service did not lock it after servicing the room. Thankfully nothing was disturbed or missing as it would have been our word against theirs as the stairs and landing to 104 ( turn right off stairs) has No visible security cameras. When you turn left there is a camera but it dose not cover the landing we were on. Still waiting to hear the managers view on why this occurred.
It s not a bad place to stay. More 3 star minus than 4 start.
Lovely place to stay. Just approx 15 stroll to Promenade des Anglais. Breakfast good too
A wonderful location in the heart of Nice. Easy walking distance to almost everything. The hotel staff were gracious and helpful. Thanks for a great stay. We will look forward to returning!
4 stars because you can always improve but frankly it's still a good address.Hotel near hyper center, clean and cozy room, pro home, friendly bartender.I recommend.
Lovely accommodation, friendly staff and great location. Highly recommend.
This is a lovely hotel with a marvelous staff. They are extremely pleasant and ready to help in any way they can. We stayed in an Executive room, which was quite comfortable. The air con was only adequate, however. We like it a bit cooler than most people which constitutes my comment. The lobby is small, but charming and the location is phenomenal! Close to everything.
Great location, comfortable room, close to centre of Nice, recommend it as a place to stay!
Great location and, despite what others have said, the AC in the room worked well enough (no shop or store or restaurant in France has blasting AC). Elevators are small and slow. The morning staff is as cold as ice and the blond lady in the front desk in the mornings is unable to crack a smile, even to children, and generally appears to hate her job. There are front desk members here who don t speak a word of English. There is no restaurant for food after the breakfast closes (10:30am).
I chose this hotel for a night passing through Nice, central location but out of the chaos, public pay parking very close to the structure, nice room, maybe a bit small, for a stay of several nights it is not very comfortable, bathroom too small but functional and with a nice shower. Good and very varied breakfast!
Not a very pleasant walk from the rail station to the hotel - dirty and smelly. Mind you the hotel is nice and we've walked to a square where we've eaten and all good. Xx
front desk clerk appeasr to be bi-polar...watch out!
We had booked a deluxe room, unfortunately it was very small. The breakfast was sufficient, the service at the front desk was very friendly.
Otherwise the hotel was very pleasantly central, we could walk to everything.
Very nice hotel, hyper central, good breakfast
The bar is very nice and very affordable
The live evenings in the patio are great
Excellent Hotel in Nice, very well located, very charming rooms and a beautiful view of the city. Good cost x benefit !!
Overall, the impression with which we left the hotel was a good one. The buffet style breakfast was excellent. Snacks were available from the bar or via room service. We visited in early December. There was no working restaurant but I guess at other times in the year there may be.
The Ellington is well situated. It is about 10 minutes walk to the beach and to the old town. Access to the hotel with a wheelchair is possible via a small electric lift and via ramps installed outside when required. Staff were helpful at all times.
We were booked into a "classic" room. However, we were upgraded FOC to a larger room as my wife was in a wheelchair. I didn't see the "classic" room but I reckon it would have been a mite small even without the wheelchair.
Good reception, nice room, well located hotel. Very well!
Small hotel but the quality is very good. There are many photographs of famous jazz players on each floor hallway. The bar on the first floor is authentic and cool. It will be a good memory if you do it all here. The room is a bit small but is it also French style?
Nice rooms but can be noisy .Bar is very expensive. Hotel is within walking distance to old and new town. Staff are very nice, let us check in early.
Comfortable, quiet, clean and cozy hotel. Welcoming staff. A plus for the Italian bathroom
Fantastic staff, great location. Rooms are beautiful. Would love to visit again.
The hotel was superb. Was incredibly cozy and fresh and the staff friendly. The breakfast was good. However, the room was slightly crowded and not much room for clothes, outerwear and shoes. But we were very satisfied
Very welcome. Room very good. Excellent breakfast. Discreet and customer-oriented staff.
I spent the night from 13th to 14th September .. booked on Booking last minute! No parking!! My Ferrari had to be parked 200m underground public, for 254 a mediocre room decorated with glass cloth with air conditioning of another era! At breakfast nice room, but no squeezed orange juice (concentrated fruit juice) and pastries not terrible. Really disappointed .. I thought I saw stars that I did not find!
Great hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff and nice breakfast. 20 minute walk to the beach.
I can only judge the jazz cocktail on the patio: a pure moment of happiness to hear the talented Penny Mac Morris! What a voice ! The atmosphere, the service, everything was there to spend an excellent evening. To renew as soon as possible
The hotel is wonderful. The streets are littered with dog poo. The immigration queue was horrendous. It is NOT nice to exit from Nice. Fly off from another city.
Four stars only "on paper" .. Actually comparable to a two-star hotel .. very bad quality / price ratio ..
Hotel full of charm. Great location. Quiet. Nice hotel
Super home staff smiling welcome drink impeccable room near the city center is an asset I advise you to park at the hotel car park or Nice star here you will be much cheaper I recommend
From the booking stage right up to the time we left it was a wonderful experience to stay at the Hotel Ellington. Situated beautifully in a lovely part of Nice with so many facilities nearby it really suited our preferences. Thanks to Jean-Pierre for his warm welcome and all the reception and management who engaged well with us with any queries we had. Also to the housekeeping staff who do a great job day in and day out. Many thanks and hope to see you again in the not too distant future.
Impossible staff, bad service, rooms are often an impertinence and the breakfast you always get visit from the pigeons
Nice. Quality. Live music in the bar. Available but expensive parking, but is an important plus!
Nice hotel near to main shopping street. We stayed there for 5 nights with no complaints
This hotel doesn t live up to the expectations you would expect from a four star hotel. The rooms were not clean. There was dust on the bedside tables on the day of arrival, which was still there on the day of departure. The balcony was also not cleaned during the stay. The mattress was completely worn out. There was hair in the bathroom. The room was extremely noisy, so that conversations, phone calls or other noises from the neighboring rooms had to be heard. The entire equipment in the hotel looks outdated. The lady at the front desk didn't even ask when you left whether you were satisfied as a guest.
I gave the two stars for the fact that the hotel is very conveniently located on a nice street and that the air conditioning in the room worked properly.
Lovely hotel, very central within walking distance of Old Town. Helpful staff.
Good hotel Central, good buffet and excellent treatment
Good hotel, good food with panoramic terrace on the roof. . always nice events ..
Most expensive 2 star hotel I have stayed in. Definitely not a 4 star hotel by service standards. Room were not clean, Aircon not working, nothing in mini bar and a bottle of water is expensive. We asked for a fan, they said they would provide it but didn't.
I won't recommend this hotel :(
Excellent ! This is a comfortable hotel with some quirky Frenchness about it. Close to the beach and the Old Town in quiet streets, and very reasonably priced, this is a fun place to stay. We paid the extra for a deluxe executive room so can't comment on the basic accommodation, but have been delighted with ours. The staff are friendly and efficient, too. Glad we came and chose the Ellington.
Reception not very nice small bathroom for the price paid
This hotel and rooms are small but very comfortable. The room and the bathroom were very clean. The street outside is silent. The area is safe and you can find spa hotels around. There are quite nice pastry shops around and you can taste the most delicious chestnut (as desert) Personnel is friendly and very helpfull.
Located in the center of Nice, comfortable and cozy. Have breakfast
great quiet neighborhood in Nice. close to shopping. can walk everywhere.
very helpful staff. had large exec room with twin beds. comfortable, clean, fairly modern.
Good hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Recommended.
very nice hotel by its style its atypical bar and these magnificent chandeliers! very warm personal I recommend
The city center of Nice is uncrossable! Very pretty!
