This hospital is run by the $%^&ing devil himself. They rape the patients. Dope them without their knowledge. Fudge up the paperwork to cover their tracks. I tried to report it to the government but the government must be corrupt with the CEO of this hospital cuz the cops just laughed when I reported it.

THIS HOSPITAL NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN AND CONDEMNED IMMEDIATELY, THESE REVIEWS ARE UNBELIEVABLE. GOVERNMENT TOO FOR THAT MATTER.

After you spend 7+ hours in the waiting room just to be seen by a nurse and Dr for a total of maybe 30 minutes they send you bills. My case I have no medical insurance. They say apply for financial aid which they make almost impossible for you to get granted and when you do they only help with very minimal portions of your bill. I have a bill a little over $8,000 and I'm calling AND BEGGING to make a payment in good faith. But they won't accept it because I can't pay the amount they want. They keep threatening me to send my bill into collections and I've tried and been transferred to quite a few people. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. They're disgusting to treat there patients like this and this isn't the first time I've heard about them doing this to their patients.

I honestly would rather die than go to Gwinnett Medical for anything. Worst staff, ER doctor (hipster doctor w/ glasses and birkenstocks) is a top-notch condescending a-hole quality that only Gwinnett Medical could provide. Top that with a long wait, a staff that could seem to care less, one bag of saline, and a 2000 dollar bill for nothing done. Yeah, like I stated in my first sentence, I'd rather die than go to Gwinnett Medical for anything.

If I could give 0 stars I would this is the worst place to come if you are sick. The hospital staff were talking terribly about their patients in the waiting room also violating many HIPPA policies as well. I waited three hours before being triaged. They were not doing it based on acuity of patients and the staff were very uncaring and rude. Please take your family or yourselves elsewhere for emergency care.

My dad had to have open heart surgery at Gwinnett Medical in Lawrenceville. I I have to say that it's was a great experience talking to the nurses. I and updates and they calling you back. The cardiovascular icu is a great staff doctor justice is wonderful and friendly and really did a great job to my dad's heart.. I would recommend him to anyone.. No need to go Atlanta. Gwinnett Medical thanks for everything.

I wanted to give 0 stars, but let me begin I am basing this review on a call just experienced, the lack of professionalism and lack of assistance I received when calling was ridiculous. I ve experienced better service in a White Castle Drive thru.

They need new staff that know how to handle phone calls, and a new administrator who knows how to run a hospital.

Pathetic excuse of a hospital. Smfh

They don't care how you feel as long as they get paid. They don't tell you BEFORE you're seen, that if you don't have payment you have to wait 30 more minutes to an hour to talk to a counselor for 30 minutes. Sitting here in pain but I can't get a prescription until I see this person. They should just call instead of making us sit here hurting.

6 stitches for $3,700, and took 3 hours to get them. They do not do payment plans. This is more than a plastic surgeon would charge, and it left a huge scar.

You must pay your full bill in 3 payments no matter the amount. If you make any payment it still goes to collections after 90 days. Non-negotiable.

We got a surprise bill when our son was seen in NICU by an out of network doctor. Cost us $1,800 out of pocket. Beware. They do not warn before sending out of network doctors to look at your chart, just bill you thousands. Complete joke.

Slow labs, disgusting food, constantly nickel and diming you. Parking is a joke, they refuse to validate parking even with a $50,000 bill. Northeast Medical in Gainesville is so much better, and it is 100% worth the drive.

I visited this ER for the first and last time toni...

I visited this ER for the first and last time tonight for severe chest pain and difficulty breathing. I waited over an hour and a half without ever being called to a room. A technician did perform an initial EKG which evidently was normal. I saw multiple adults go back to a room before me, even though they did not arrive until after me. There was absolutely NO effort to triage/gather my health information (I have an autoimmune disorder and asthma) that would be useful for my ER visit. I witnessed one particular staff member behave very rudely to patients. The ER seemed to be staffed too short. The patients were upset (for good reason-almost everyone experienced the same thing I did; someone coming in after them but being called back for treatment before them). When I finally saw a patient who came in about an hour after me who was vomiting get called back for treatment, I finally asked when I would be seen. I was told I had not been assigned a room and that it would be at least 2 hours total (so another 30 minutes at minimum). I reminded the staff member I was there for chest pin and shortness of breath. She let me know that the EKG let them know it was nothing emergent. Well, well, well. Now technicians and staff can diagnose!!! I signed myself out and left. I have had to deal with heart issues before. And the EKG doesn t tell the whole story. This place is pathetic.

I used the online service tool to make an appointment at 1 o clock in the morning and they told me to come in at 3 o clock in the morning only to tell me that it would be another 5 to 6 hours before anyone could see me terrible service never use the online appointment to tool. They were about six patients in the whole emergency room so no excuse not to help people in an emergency specially when they took the time to make an appointment

The staff here are courteous, very patient, and they genuinely listen to you when you are explaining your complaints or voicing concerns. The hospital itself is immaculately clean and modern. It is very simple to navigate despite its large size. Hopefully you won't end up in the hospital but if you do, this is the place.

My dad who is also elderly was taken to the ER on Thursday Oct. 11th. He has Dementia/Alzheimer's . He was not very responsive. His blood sugar was almost at 900. We waited from 10:30 a.m. all the way to 3:00 p.m. to be even seen by any doctor. He was finally admitted to ICU. Then moved to South tower on 6th floor. The overall experience we had was less than satisfactory. What happened to the caring nursing care we used to experience? I will tell you if you want a good hospital and good service go to a WellStar Hospital. We have been at Kennestone hospital and it was a total VIP and loving and caring experience. I guess they are understaffed at Gwinnett because the care my dad was receiving was as if he was just a number at the hospital. At discharge, no one assisted my dad from the bed to a wheel chair. The nurses said there was no male nurse that can help him get transported from bed to wheel chair. My dad has dementia and he will not cooperate at times. We finally called my son and my dad's care giver to drive to the hospital so they can assist my dad to a wheel chair. They suggested that we have an ambulance drive him home. I am surprised that no one even stepped in to help my dad get out of bed to a wheel chair so we can just bring him to the car. The nurse was very cold towards my parents. I will say never ever again.

They have the worst service ever the wait time is horrible and then they send you away the same way you came . I have never seen a hospital send a woman away when she is having abdominal pain. Last year, my husband had crippling abdominal pain...

Last year, my husband had crippling abdominal pain to the point that he could no longer stand on his own. We went to the ER, waited over 4 hours for them to push on his stomach take xrays and send us home. After insurance coverage, we were sent over $1000 in bills, that we paid off. Later that year, he had symptoms of blood clots, we called his Dr. and was told to go straight to the ER. After waiting 2 hours, they took him back and determined he had 3 blood clots in his legs (he's an active 35 year old). Then they put him back in the waiting room for 4 more hours while they decided what to do about the clots. The answer? Go home and take some aspirin. Again, more than $1000 in bills. I thought we were done with this until my doorbell just rang and a Sheriff is at my door serving us for bills that I had no clue about. We are also in the process of buying a house, and no e of the bills are on my husband's credit. They are taking us to court for refusal to pay. Called the lawyers and now we are out ANOTHER $1150, including court fees that we have to cover. The lawyer assures me that she will have the hospital send out those bills. I have now paid this hospital ER over $5000 to have a belly pushed on and be told to take aspirin. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Nurses, doctors, techs, and administrators seems great. I was extremely impressed.

To a female Social worker that called me - you forgot to call and introduce your name before calling. And take a breather. Be professional. Dont call with your attitude, and its sad that a social worker changes tone in her voice and act condescending as she found out my father had no health insurance. You act like 100% of americans have health insurance 100% of time. Because i didnt have my health insurance for 2-3 months. Because cobra isnt something everyone chooses while transitioning into another job. You should know better as you are a SOCIAL worker. Oh wait, you didnt ask that question and you were too busy being condescending and being arrogant towards my dad/hang up on me (still without telling your name).

She states that she will call again or mail again in future. Hopefully it will be better experience, i will update rating then. My dad s experience last night with GMC was phenomenal and does not deserve 3 star.

Update... I will say the nurses I had and especially the ER doc made up for the time I had to wait (which was literally 5 hours). Get just a couple more docs and nurses like them to cut the 5 hour wait time and this hospital would be amazing because of the employees working here. Time was the only complaint here. Gotta get better there

What a pack of failures. I requested a bill from "gwinnett hospital systems" so they process an order through healthport for more than $50, we pay it, then when we get what we paid for, there is no bill...just 25 pages of stuff we never asked for. So not only did they not read our request and retain the information, they also violated health laws and gave us information that we did not request, nor have an authorization form for. Pathetic. Our request was in plain, non-jargon English. Even if it was laden with Jargon, its unacceptable for a hospital to just waste everybody's time and money with glib, irresponsible behavior by their staff.

IF I COULD GIVE THESE FOLKS ZERO STARS I WOULD!!!! I don t live in Gwinnett county, I was only on this side visiting a friend and I decided to go to this hospital to get a pap smear because I just wanted a quick check up after realizing my PH balance was a bit off and I ve had it done at hosipitals before just not this one. As I came in the people in the front were friendly and helped me accordingly. They put me in a room within 10 mins of me being here okay cool right? NOPE. The room i m in is set up like a doctors office, there was no bed. It was like the table at the doctors office when you go get a regular checkup... Okay I didn t complain, but my friend came in for the same thing as me and we re both here at the same time and she s in a full room with a bed, a blanket and everything. So now the doctor comes in the room asking me questions and then says there wasn t anything for him to do because i didn t have any symptoms that were obvious for them to get me medical treatment. So i asked for a pap smear he proceeds to ask me what he was looking for? I m just like anything, just make sure i m okay... this man then goes to say WELLL THIS IS AN OBGYN problem not ours... And that i should ve went to an obgyn if i wanted a pap smear. and that he would do it for me this ONE time but NEXT TIME i needed to go see an OBGYN. Fast forward, I m on my cycle I tell the lady who was setting up the stuff for the pap smear... She says to me well are you naked? i Said no i didnt want to leak everywhere and she oh well just slide your panties off when the doctor comes in here i guess .... That was rude like why aren t y all offering to put something underneath me? The staff here is LOUD, OBNOXIOUS, and RUDE. This was my first and last time ever coming here. I d rather go somewhere where the staff helps me feel welcomed during my stay.

May insurance paid them in full October 28, 2019 but still not able to get a refund for the 1250.00 I had to pay them day of service. Even after I told them service would be covered 100%. They also refused to call my insurance company to verified on day of service Called today they are now saying that the claim is under review since 10-28 because they are disputing the contracted rate with Aetna. So once again they keep my money even though they have been paid twice . Imagine if they do this to every patient how much increased revenue they are getting......

If I could give a lower rating than one star I would. Unfortunately, during this COVID-19 period, we have had three different in hospital stays. All three, have had major lack of communication issues. No one knows what's going on and depending on who you talk to you get different information. When asked to speak with an administrator, we get the canned answer that no one's available. Stop hiding behind your front line heroes (that's what they are "heroes"...I'm not discrediting their contributions) and face the fact that you have no clue how to run a hospital!

Worst hospital I've ever been to each time there's been a emergency I say take me anywhere but to GMC the nurses are extremely rude one even took a snack from my 6 year old another one bumped into me in those extra small rooms they have without excusing herself then a different one rolled her eyes I asked when the patient can go home they said o you're past due you could have left five days ago but nobody cared to let me know one nurse woke me up at three in the morning to wipe the patient bc she wouldn't do it then on release day didn't care to help me lift the handicapped patient to put in the car AWFUL service I took the same patient to Eastside in snellville next few times n wow staff was so sweet was released on time and even helped me lift my patient into the car for me and the rooms were not as small and dirty either

I was brought here from rehab for a lung filling with fluid, and staff quickly diagnosed small cell lung cancer. I immediately had pulmonologist, oncologist, hospitalist, palliative care specialist, infectious care specialist, and radiology inserted catheter, which drained the lung and got me breathing normally again on oxygen. Needless to say, I'm an Emory grad, and have always used Emory hospitals and Doctors, but I got the best treatment at this hospital for 3 weeks I have ever had. I'm 80 years old, now terminal, and so thankful for the Drs and Nurses here, as they are the kindest, most compassionate you could ever ask for.

This is specifically for the billing in the ER department. They use a company that bills separately from the hospital for providers in the ER. Those providers don't accept the same insurance and in fact don't accept mine. I received a substantial bill in the mail from them 1 and a half years later thinking all was well. Nope, it wasn't. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of GA. It's pretty prominent.

It wasn't the worst but it still was pretty horrible.
The chairs where stiff.
The main waiting room was eerily silant and smelled very heavily of cleaning products that was thick enough in the air to make me uncomfortable.
The staff all had freezing hands and made me feel like a lab experiment.
I wouldn't go again.

This place doesn't even deserve one star. I have kids with special needs so I'm very familiar with hospitals. I came in today because my son who doesn't have special needs got a very deep cut almost half the tip of his finger, they had us sitting for over 1 1/2 hrs in the waiting room unlike other medical facilities they don't triage and admit based on an emergency basis is first come first served. It wasn't until I said look he's still bleeding he's in a lot of pain we are leaving to get him treated at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta I'd rather have him wait 20 minutes while I drive in the car then just waiting here forever. All of suddedn a room opened up and we were treated. I will never bring another child of mine here and I will make sure every parent knows this. In an emergency that you can not transport your child call an ambulance go to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, or if you can drive there do that. It's a shame that there isn't a Children's hospital here in Gwinnett.

Today is December 31,2018 and before the clock strikes 12 and the beginning moments of 2019 enters, first of all, I thank God;secondly I thank the staff at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville Ga. A few weeks ago,I was rushed to the ER at GMC. I was in dire straits. I was experiencing an acute asthma attack. From the moment I spoke to a very sympathetic gentleman ER registration until the time I was wheeled out of the hospital on my last hospital stay,I received top notch care. :-)
These are the people I wanted to give special THANKS to:the ER registration-I believe the young man's name was Wayne, the nurse who quickly wheeled me into the ER(I forgot her name),Ngan,Sharon,Samara,Antiria,Tory,ER Drs.
Schube,Shapiro,and Wang,Jermaine-resident doctor,6 North nursing staff-Tonisha,Reena,Mary,Erica,Jacob,Julie,Myra,
Marie(Echo),Diana(Patient Advocate Rep.),Lisa and Melinda(Respiratory),Deanna(PCT-6 South);Drs.Christianson and Kaplan;Other 6 South Nursing Staff:Catrina,Melinda,Yew,Merlin,and Salby.
For the many other staff members,I may not remember your names, but please know I appreciate your kindness and professionalism also. I was hospitalized for 4 days and everyone that I came in contact really eased my medical concerns. May God continue to bless ALL of you and please do not change who YOU are :-). Happy New Year to the kind hands and warms smiles at Gwinnett Medical Center :-)

Personally, the doctors treated me well if some other nurses are out laughing dead talking loudly, but my worst experience was the day I arrived at that hospital in emergencies two people arrived and a man had not put me to bed and They wanted to be paid part of the hospital bill if a 75% discount, but the worst and that I'm still on scok is that at the moment where you are waiting for the doctor to know your diagnosis come again with which to make a will and that to whom you are going to leave your things, I have never seen so much lack of human sensitivity as much disrespect to the human being as in that hospital. Maybe he is a hospital protogologist who shouldn't be like that but they have a lack of humanity in that hospital

Had one of the worst ER experiences of my life here. My daughter has a metabolic condition with a note we are to give to the ER expressing her immediate need for attention if she is sick. We presented it at the desk, where it was pretty much ignored. We then waited for an hour to get back, after which it took 2 hours just to get an IV inserted, then we were told that they were going to send her to CHOA instead. So after multiple hours in their ER with unhelpful staff and doctors, we were sent on an expensive ambulance ride to CHOA. Which is where we should have just gone in the first place. If you have a children's emergency DON'T go to Gwinnett! Just got straight to CHOA. We then received bills for our couple hours at Gwinnett that were unreasonably expensive for the lack of service and help we got. It cost us twice as much to be in Gwinnett for 3 hours than it did to be in CHOA for 18...not pleased. I wont ever take a family member or my child to this ER again.

The worst hospital ever will never return here ever again. 1st had to wait in the waiting Room for 3 1/2 hours with extreme stomach pain .The staff has poor listening skills and when I get to the patient's Room all I got was a blood and urine test no other test were done not even a cat scan, the guy comes in the Room asking for my insurance information puts it in the system and somehow I don't have insurance. I call my insurance and they verified that I have coverage then when I told them I was not able to pay the full $2000 bill all of a sudden the doctor comes in and tells me that he's sending me home .Again no other tests were done, went home and the pain got worst I went to Emory Eastside hospital where they actually did the proper tests and a cat scan and found that I had an infection in my colon, so basically this hospital sent me home with an infection and no treatment.

I would have never thought I d write a 5 star review. I hated this place. But early in the morning a kidney stone started moving. GMC was the closet. My nurse and her aid were more than wonderful. I delivered here 4 times so far. My first 2 stays ...

I delivered here 4 times so far. My first 2 stays were in 2005 and 2007. The NICU, high risk maternity ward, and labor and delivery were wonderful. My stay in 2005 was when I lost my daughter 11 hours after delivery. Even through that difficult time the staff was wonderful. They were very sympathetic, caring, and comforting through it all. In 2007 I returned and delivered our 2nd daughter and again they were wonderful. So it was no question where we would deliver our son in 2012. We happily returned only that experience was absolutely HORRENDOUS. So bad that I promised to never return. The staff everywhere was rude to say the least. The OR staff, anesthesiologist, labor and delivery. The ONLY department that was good was NICU. They nurses were all rude, nobody had any idea what was going on the entire 3 days we were there, my son wasn't brought to me for hours because they were "too busy" to get report from NICU and then it was hours later again because our nurse had been on vacation and "couldn't remember her log in" to chart on me which she wanted to do first. Our day shift nurse we hardly saw and when we did she was always rude with whatever she asked and we asked for nothing. We are all very easy family. They didn't do our sons hearing test after I repeatedly asked them about it once they were trying to discharge us, and finally I just thought maybe they did and I just don't remember. Nope. They said they did, they didn't, and we ended up having to get it done at his pediatricians office. These are just a few things, it was an absolute nightmare. So in 2016 when we found out we were expecting again I dreaded going back here. I debated on going to Athens Regional because I wanted a NICU as 2 of my 3 children needed NICU. But since my OB doctor who I absolutely adore delivers at Gwinnett I decided to bite the bullet and return because we love him and have so much trust in him. Well not only was I impressed, but my entire family was impressed. The pre op staff, the OR staff, the labor and delivery were ALL fantastic. This has been our favorite stay by far and everyone was such a blessing. I cannot even begin to thank them enough for making our stay so comfortable, so welcoming, and so special. Our nurse even had students with her on one shift, and even the students were amazing. I went only for my doctor and dreading it completely and I left completely amazed and thankful that our experience was so great. Whatever changes were made between 2012 and 2016, you guys did well! This hospital was on top of it, jam up, and I cannot thank you all enough for helping to make one of the best days of our lives so special and wonderful. A big thank you from my family. You guys are angels.

I wasn't going to post about this, but it's still bothering me. Yesterday i took my son to Gwinnett Medical Because he rolled off my bed while i splet him. The doctors had checked him and told us everything was fine that we were good to go home. Just needed to wait to be discharged. Two different doctors came in and askes us again why was our reason for being there etc. Finally they tell us we could go but again. Another nurse come to check for my son vitals. To start off the thing first that she said was "HELLO HERE FOR VITALS DO Y'ALL SPEAK ANY ENGLISH?" SO already she had an issue with me and my mother. So i asked a simple question of why was he needed vitals taking if we were getting discharged. And she took it our of proportion. Got offened and got me my nursed. Nursed csme and said mom we need to vitals. I explained i understand just used you guys taking them in the beginning. And she mislead what i was asking and yet she still had an attitude. Like i get that you working 12 hour shifts and yes they were busy but not be rude to my mother me or my son because I'm Hispanic. Oh hell no!! I don't want your help if you're going to treat me like i don't belong in his country just because your skin is different color than me. I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN. I WILL TAKE MY SON AND MY HUSBAND ELSE WHERE IF EVER NEEEDED TO GO HOSPITAL. The doctors that helped us were nice but nurse fpr vitals was rude and needs an attitude adjustment. Treating us different because I'm Hispanic and asked a simple question.

Went to ER today. Blood pressure was through the roof. I had swelling in my face, hands and feet. Waited 3 hours in ER I eventually left, not because of the wait but because of how the ER nurses treated everyone. It's horrible how they talk to you and IGNORE patients. I watched and sat next to a poor lady crying out in pain and politely asking for someone to bring her water. She couldn't walk. I watched as they looked at each other trying to figure out who was going to get her something to drink. One nurse in particular kept turning her back to her. It's wrong hurtful and inexcusable how people are treated in this place. I went because it was convenient but I will NEVER go back. You take an oath to take care of the people who are put in front of you. The rest is having compassion and just showing heart. Ridiculous

The E.R. was very fair in their pricing I was so shocked! I cant say enough about that! Yet it really makes me sad the doctors charged 3x as much and I didnt even get a band aid or tylenol. Its not so much the money for me as much as the fact a business seems to treat you fairer than a doctor would. Lesson Learned.

I have not gone to this hospital yet but unfortunately this is where I m going to have to deliver my baby. I ve been trying for the past two weeks to contact someone to get a price estimate on how much my delivery costs will be. However when I call the number it says that no one is available to answer at the moment, which is EVERYTIME I call no matter the day or time of day. Then the message says to email them, so I emailed them and got a message saying if you want to contact someone faster then I should call the same number that told me to email. Then I get a call back without my phone ringing and then I get a voicemail from them saying that it s going straight to voicemail without any message of how I can effectively contact them. I called my phone company and had several people test my phone to see if my phone doesn t ring and it s working fine. I ve had them leave a message on my phone 2 times with the same not ringing and only leaving a voicemail that doesn t give me a way to contact them. I m not sure what to do to get a price estimate. I don t know why this is so secretive.

My father spent 7 hours in the ER, all the while was vomiting. Which from what a nurse told me is actually not bad. Sent us into a small room to talk to a doctor, doctor leaves then we go sit in the hallway for another 2 hours, while he is still vomiting. On the bright side our nurse was excellent. Stay far away

Her exact words was she doesn't do that to go around the other side , and she turned around and continue to work. I couldn't believe it. Not to mention the bed he was in was broke and they tried to fix it which never got fixed I indeed video taped that whole ordeal. The one evening cna I guess who was taking his blood pressure kept putting it on his for arm he had to tell her to put it up on the top of his arm. I couldn't get outta here fast enough.

Duluth location: This was hands down the WORST ER experience I have ever had. I was having difficulty breathing, and was treated as if I wasn't important. On top of that when I got into my room in the ER the computer was facing my husband and I with another patient's private medical information!!!! The nurses and doctors were so horrible, I actually left crying and having more difficulty breathing then when I came in. DO NOT come here if you can help it.

CROOKS, THIEVES, AND DISHONEST BILLING DEPARTMENT!...

CROOKS, THIEVES, AND DISHONEST BILLING DEPARTMENT! These words accurately describe the dishonest and inaccurate billing practices of Gwinnett Medical Center. They bill for the wrong amount and try to get away with it. In fact, you can only get your correct bill IF YOU PROVIDE THEM WITH THE EXPLANATION OF BENEFITS FROM YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY. Letters written to address this issue are ignored. To date, we have two separate INCORRECT bills from Gwinnett Medical which leads me to the conclusion they are simply trying to get money from those who believe they have correctly discounted contractual rates and applied payments from insurance. This is a SCAM, and I'm sick to think some innocent people pay their bills believing they are correct. I'll be writing letters to the hospital and whomever else to get them exposed. Enough is enough!

HORRIBLE BILLING DEPT. I WAS OVER BILLED $12OO FOR PROCEDURE THAT I HAD IN JUNE 2016. I VERIFIED THE THE COST OF PROCEDURE BEFORE IT WAS PERFORMED BY CALLING MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND BILLING DEPT. AT GWINNETT MEDICAL CENTER. I HAVE CONTACTED THE BILLING DEPT. TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE ONLY TO HIT A BRICK WALL AND GIVEN NO REASONS FOR THE $1200 OVERAGE. ONLY TO BE TOLD, THE BILL MUST BE PAID WITHIN 90 DAYS. YIKES!!!!
I WAS TOLD THIS A NEW POLICY THAT WAS RECENTLY IMPLEMENTED. I ASKED WHY WASN'T I NOTIFIED OF THIS NEW POLICY. THE CLERK HAD NO ANSWER. A I HAVE ASKED FOR A ITEMIZED BILL: SO FAR NO LUCK.

I hate that Gwinnett Medical is now Northside. I hate when a doctor is arrogant and refuses to listen to you. While I understand you are a medical professional, please understand that I am more aware of myself and my condition that I have been dealing with for over 10 years than you are by only seeing me once. If I tell you I have been taking medication x, don't give me a prescription for medication y because YOU thought it was better. Did you consult my PCP, OB/GYN, gastroenterologist, and endocrinologist before making your decision? Because they all need to consult one another before changing any of my scripts. Needless to say I didn't fill the prescription and am going to my PCP today. Also, I loved the personal touch from the financial advisor who flat out told me next time I come, they will have to request a payment in full before services are rendered due to a $1,800 balance I have from a few years ago. Did you seriously just tell me you will refuse me treatment because of my inability to pay? Makes me want to go back tonight and test this out. I sure could use some settlement money.

I took my daughter in at 3 a.m. this morning because she was complaining of chest pains. I explained to the Nurse that my daughter is suffering from a chronic illness and she looked at me with a blank look on her face... There was no since of urgency at this hospital. We left and went to Emory and they IMMEDIATELY after signing in, prepped my daughter for a chest X-ray amongst other labs.... the since of urgency was definitely there..... I'm very disappointed in the lack of concern from the staff at Gwinnette Medical Center....

I recently underwent a tonsillectomy at Gwinnett Medical Center-Lawrenceville. The hospital was not my first choice, but it was where my insurance company requested that the surgery be done. After hearing various "horror" stories of patient experiences at Gwinnett Medical, I was a little anxious at first. Nonetheless, I knew that I had a terrific surgeon and that I would be in good hands. In the end, everything went great!!! I was honestly treated like royalty by every person I came in contact with at the hospital. The nursing staff at Gwinnett Medical is top notch!!! Special shout out to my pre op nurse Karen, who took fantastic care of me. She treated me like her own son and always made sure I was at ease and comfortable, right up until I was wheeled off to the operating room. After surgery, I was well taken care of in the recovery room and up until the point of discharge. I even got a follow up call the next day from the day surgery staff just to make sure I was recovering well. All in all a great experience and I will tell everyone!!!

I went to Gwinnett Medical Emergency center on 8/20/2014 @ 8pm desperately seeking for help. I had severe eye pain. My eyes were extremely sore and they were cloudy red like a vain raptured in them. I felt like I was losing my vision. I was literally blowing out blood. I was expose to a deadly amount of mold recently. The billing lady came to me first and ask me how I was paying the $350 deposit to get seen.I responded I don't have any health insurance or any money to make a deposit. She got mad and had me sign some paper work to see the doctor on staff.Doctor Alisha Holbrook from the Er came in. She was rude from the very first moment she walked in the door.As I was explaining my symptoms. She cut me off and said you are going to have to wait I got to answer this call! Then she returned and refused to let me finish or to see me unless I could pay the $350 deposit. I explained how can you not see me because I don't have any money for your services. She didn't listen,so I ask to speak to the supervisor in charge. She stormed out! Then came another billing collection guy. He explained if you can't pay the $350 deposit then the doctor will not see you nor will she give you any antibiotics or prescriptions for your mold exposure!I ask him politely could I still speak to the supervior. He left and went to go get a staff nurse that type my sympthoms in the computer for records only! Still no supervisor! The nurse name was Jacqueline and she had a real nasty attitude! She came in like "LOOK IF YOU DONT HAVE ANY DEPOSIT MONEY NO ONE IS GOING TO SEE YOU AND GET YOUR A** UP OUTTA HERE!I was shocked but I told her I know my rights! She said she was supervisor, but her shirt name tag clearly stated she was a nurse.I asked her to get supervisor. She slammed the door extremely hard and went to get the hospital security! Dwayne and the security guards came in mad. They told me leave now or you going to jail!I wasn't discharged yet.COMPLETE DISCRIMINATION!They kicked me out the parklot and forced me off the premises!

My doctor sent me for an ultrasound. The procedure and techincian were fine. At the time I was charged over $1300 for the procedure. I received my claim info from my insurance company which said my portion was $714. The hospital only billed the insurance company for $1000. Don't understand why they would charge me more than what they bill my insurance. I have made 3 phone calls to try and get a refund. They told me on June 23rd they had the information from my insurance and it would be week or so to process. Now on July 7th, they are still waiting on insurance payment and can't give me a refund.
