Gulf coast regional medical center - panama city, fl Review

Nurses seem to be attentive and care about treating my husband for his condition but cleanliness is important too when it comes to preventing STAPH infections because my husband has been tested positive for it and he hasn't been allowed to take a shower because the staff doesn't want to have to assist him because they're worried he'll fall. Other than that housekeeping staff needs to do a better job cleaning and sanitizing rooms instead of just taking out the garbage

I cannot say enough great ( actually fantastic) things about everyone that took care of me for 14 days while I was there with covid pneumonia. Third floor Dr s, Nurses, patient Care, Respiratory Therapists I wish I could mention you all by name. You all played a part in saving my life and I will be forever grateful. Thank you soo soo much. If it weren t for all of you I would not be typing this right now

By far the best services ANYWHERE in Panama City. The staff really cares for your health and treat your illness like a priority to them. Nurse Nichole had a very sweet demeanor and bedside manner. The doctors were very busy but they still came and explained everything to me and showed care and empathy. I really appreciate your services so much. God bless you ALL.

As we entered the ER the nurse that I assume was supposed to be checking us in walks right past us to talk to the driver that brought us to ER in the passenger van. So we enter the Er and go to the nearest desk as my husband has a fever of 103. As we are standing in front of three nurses (i assume)Instead of greeting and asking us what we needed I hear them talking amongst themselves asking if we had been checked in. After helping us I was Informed i would not be able to stay with my husband which is understandable so i walk Back to the passenger van to hear the nurse that was supposed to check us in complaining about how she could not work with another nurse and would put her hand on her if she was to continue working with her. Very rude and unprofessional. If this was not the nearest Er to me we would have walked right out and never looked back. They all need multiple classes on hospitality immediately!

Staff is friendly and helpful. Under construction so a bit noisy at times. Some small maintenance issues remain unfixed, but that's probably from a lack of effective reporting methods.

They transferred my 91 year old father to another hospital over a hundred miles away without telling any family member and it is my understanding that they had his grandson's phone number. He was in very poor condition and should have not been moved. They claim they had no beds available but when I found out he was there I called and they said he was in room 344. That was a lie. They already transferred him out to another hospital. I don't think they handled things properly at all. I asked to have my father transferred back from the other hospital but they said his condition was to bad. If that was the case then why transfer my father in the first place. Why not transfer someone else. I'm hurt and angry about this whole situation.

My daughter recently had her baby here. The Labor and Delivery staff was great but once in new mom unit, everything went downhill fast! The staff seemed burdened, maybe overworked. The environment was not warm or welcoming at all!! There was no consistency among providers with each change of shift providing different answers to the same questions. I would not recommend this hospital for new moms! Very disappointing.

My dad was in the PCU unit and he received awesome care. Everyone was so caring unlike the treatment he received at Bay Medical. Thank you so much for the care you gave him! God Bless All Of You! Y all are Hero s

I m not sure if this will go any further than this screen but I have to give credit where it is due. I was in GCRMC for ten days recovering from COVID-19. The staff and doctors went above and beyond to help me and keep my peace of mind through the confusion and fear. I love every one of you and thank you for your service.
