Guardian Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Review

This place does not deserve any stars. They have some nurses and CNA's that are really sweet people, and do their job very well. The doctors see you for all of one second, and if they see me like that, then how are they with the people that are there permanently. When it comes to the building, it's run down, and needs lots of repairs. My bed was made for the day, and when I went to bed that night the covers smelled like pee. The so called menu really sucked, and the portions were really small. Most of the time they gave you sandwiches, and even served me a bowl of ravioli for dinner one night, when they had fish, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. Honestly, if people didn't need to work, I'd rather see it closed down. I've been in a lot of hospitals and rehab/nursing homes, and this gets a "F" from me. The worst time I've ever had to spend, and won't be doing it again.

I placed my mom in the Guardian Care and this was the best place I could have chosen for her. I happen to love this place.

As a family member, I will not recommend this place!!!! My father is a retired VA Army man who served over 30 years and I couldn't believe they made false statements about my father and told us they need to call 911 just because they saw something wrong in the xray. The ORMC ER doctor was very upset by their false statements when the hospital checked everything before they send him to that nursing home. What made them say something like that was what the doctor asked. As a family member I have called several times yesterday to speak to a caseworker and all i could do was leave the message. The caseworker NEVER called back! The receptionist told me that the STATE PEOPLE are here and thats why she couldn't call back. Today is Thursday and i still havent got any calls from them!
The congressperson and other higher levels will be hearing this matter because Guardian Care Nursing Home discriminated a RETIRED VA ARMY MAN!!!!

I was first introduce to Guardian because the rich community history of Guardian Care. I was even more impressed after my first visit, the staff was friendly. The residents mentioned the "at home feel" which gave me peace of mind about Guardian Care quality of service. Great experience and lovely staff.

If I could rate this place with no stars I would there is some staff that genuinely care about the patients and then there are the ones who are only there for a paycheck i would never put any of my family members in there ever again they don t properly turn the patients causing them to get bed sores to the bone that then is left untreated and then that patient body becomes septic once that happen they want to scream hospice and the patient dies i have seen this happen to two different people while in the care of guardian care both in the year 2017 its heartbreaking to sit and watch a family member take there last breath and to know it was due to the negligence of another the state needs to shut this place down there is no way this place has 5 stars they must delete all of their bad reviews. SMH

I had to place my aunt there two years ago. They went above and beyond my expectations. The staff is very friendly and family oriented. The therapy department was thorough and they helped my aunt recover.

Visited my Aunt Betty in Rm.115A. From the receptionist to the nurse's station..The staff was professional, kind and very helpful in getting me to right room since this was my 1st visit. I can see why Aunt Betty likes her new home. Once I arrived home after driving almost two hrs. I called back to the nursing station for someone to let Aunt Betty know I was safely home. Those are some SWEET AND CARING STAFF MEMBERS.
