It takes several visits to open new account. Crowded.
Before I start listing the pros and cons I just want you guys to know that I bank with GT Bank. They have a very good Customer Service, probably might even be the best. Their MasterCards can be activated for online transactions which is good but I'm still not able to figure out how their currency exchange works. My Netflix bill is $9.99 monthly and the bank bills me Le 103,000 for that. The last time I checked $9.99 is not Le 103,000 guys, that robbing. The GT Simpay app is a False Advertisement. I tried many times to buy recharge card and it didn't come until the next day. Tried paying electricity bills and it's the same. Please just use the app to check your Balance which you will pay Le 200 just for that. If you check your balance 100times, just know that it will cost you Le 20,000. They have improved their ATM system a bit.
So you see why I rated them 2 . If some of the things that make you to standout from other Banks are not effective, then it doesn't make a difference.
Worst customer service from any bank I have been to in Freetown. My experience there was very negative to the point I felt the need to file a complaint through their website. It s always crowded and they seem highly under staffed and their front line line staff are extremely unprofessional and rude and are in need of immediate training. Not impressed!
