This was by far the best thing I did while I was in Mallorca. The trip was really cheap for a beautiful trip through the mountains. I also fell asleep in the way back and it was very comfortable :)

Fantastic day out. The scenery was amazing. The train is well maintained and very clean. Gets very popular in Summer so get there early. Would definitely do this again.
I think the it was over hyped. Although its not that bad but I didn't find it amazing and thus to pay 25 for it. I think best is to take a bus or hire a car and go to Soller.
This is a lovely little train journey & a must do if you are visiting Mallorca,We got on the train at the station in Palma & off we went to Port de Soller which is a beautiful scenic trip through the mountains & lemon groves the lemon scent fills the air as the train passes through....The trains are over one hundred years old & maintained beautifully still running to this day.....The train line was built in 1912 to make it easier to travel from one side of the island to the other transporting citrus fruits & cotton which before the railway was carried across the mountains....It stops off on route so you can take pictures of the mountains & villages,Once you arrive in Soller it is a beautiful little seaside town with plenty of shops restaurants etc....Well worth doing this trip it s very enjoyable...
Very cute vintage train from Palma to Soller and back, the journey takes one hour one way and brings you to small beautiful Soller. From Soller you can then take a tram to fascinating Port the Soller.
This is fantastic railway line that takes you from one side of the beautiful island of Mallorca to the other. It leaves from Palma to Soller (and return) making several stops along the way through spectacular scenery. It is an electrified railway with quite comfortable seating for the journey which in total takes about 90 minutes. Well worth a trip if you are on holiday on the island.
This is amazing to visit, the only reason for taking one star away is the cueing system for the return journey leaves a little to be desired. Even with this the views are amazing and make the trip well worth while on their own.
If you like trains or vintage transport then a visit on this train is a must, don t be put off by the initial trundle through the outskirts of Palma as this soon changes into something truly breathtaking.
You can but a combined train and tram ticket and this is the best value option, be aware that you will need to have cash ready as well as the time you intend to travel back. I wouldn t recommend leaving it till the last train as you may end up getting stuck!
Have a chat to the conductor as well if they are willing to engage as they are a great source of local knowledge.
