Wonderful place!

Wonderful place!
I go a couple times a year.
Beautiful grounds, beautiful sculptures, and a great place to spend the day!!
Haven't tried the cafe food, but it looks very good.
I did try some chocolate gelato there and I must say that it was great, too!
This place will always be one of my favorite places in the world.
There is also a gift shop, some restaurants, indoor areas (closed for covid, though, but I got to experience the indoor areas before hand and they are great.) Also saw motorized wheelchair rentals available upon going in the past, but I do not know what the rules on this are due to the covid-19.)
Love it here!!!
Hope you enjoyed my review.

Lots of interesting sculptures with nice landscaping. Some of them are very modern and abstract, but also some nice realistic creations also. Sculptor Seward Johnson is very involved here. He has a well known sculpture in lower Manhattan called Double Check about a biz man setting on a bench checking the interior of his briefcase. This sculpture was next to WTC during 911, and also in the middle of the Occupy Wall Street. His appearance was drastically changed in both events. The welcome center recreates both of these. Seward is a grandson of one of the founders of Johnson & Johnson.

Today was a perfect day for Grounds for Sculpture, but I'm pretty sure that any day would do. Even if you're feeling down, this place will pick your mood right up. There are tons of gorgeous sculptures to see and interact with. Please note: You are not allowed to touch all of the sculptures. Most are marked and the art in the indoor galleries is hands off but some are interactive.

Nothing you see here could possibly bore you. I recommend making this a day trip as the park is 45 acres. There are about seven different areas to explore, filled with surprises around every corner. Please note: Some of the sculptures are not obviously spotted and do require some searching (This is the really fun part).

There are lots of fun sculptures that include mist, which are perfect for cooling off on a hot day. There are also plenty of areas to cool down, in general. Many areas are shaded by beautiful trees and have chairs and benches, if you need to take a moment or just want to relax.

This is officially one of my favorite places.

Grounds for Sculpture is a fun get away in Mercer County. A great place to visit any time of year, for any age. A vast variety of sculptures. Beautiful landscaping and as well as peacocks roaming the area too. Rat's is a classy, trendy restaurant to visit or maybe just the cafe for something simpler. Always enjoyable.

This was definitely a fun and worth while outing, but I don't think I would go back for a second trip. Sort of a been there, done that kind of place. The layout is very non-intuitive, so if you want to see everything, plan out your route with the map before you head out. On that note, to not miss anything, even if a small path doesn't look like it's supposed to be there, it probably is, so take the road less traveled to see some hidden statues. I also wish there were more informative signs, like what style of art, the history behind the piece, or even who the artist was/what the name of the piece is. It would have made the trip more informative and interesting. Side note, there is a whole building dedicated to mostly blank pieces of paper and plastic which I did not enjoy, but that is entirely subjective. Definitely worth the modest ticket price of $10-15 for a day in an interesting park.

I've been a member for several years because I want to (and do) visit several times a year. I always bring out-of-town guests, go often with friends and family, and have started going alone occasionally because I can't get enough. There are so many good things I have to say about this place. Let me start with what made me fall in love with it: it is PERFECT for children of all ages. It is everything a parent wants in a child's life: nature, walking around, seeing animals, secret hiding places, surprises around every corner, art on a grand scale, art as architecture, art as part of the natural environment, humor & whimsy, interactive displays, education, peacefulness, contemplation, water features, healthy & delicious food choices, hidden seating, changing indoor art galleries for something new and a little refreshing A/C, family day activities, hills to roll down, and the wide open sky above.

Such a wide variety of sculptures. We had fun trying to name each one of them.
After the park closes you are still free to walk outside.
The peacocks were nice to see as well, they even have an albino one.
I did think the park was overpriced, 20 dollars per person is too much for what you get.

It's like Disneyland for sculpture. About 20% is fantastic, very well done and impressive. But the rest - the plastic-looking and tacky renditions of Renoir's, for example - render the landscape quite the opposite of sculptural art. Try as they may, reproducing an impressionist with life-size patrons at a cafe, or forced, hissing fog at Giverny, or red silk poppies on a hill only degrades the artist, in my humble opinion. Not to mention the self-aggrandizing, amateurish attempts of countless contributors, the proprietor no exception, which will designate this point of interest as "meh" overall and not worthy of a return visit.

This is one of my favorite places ever. They have a large area and they put a lot of effort into partnering the landscape with the sculptures. There are three buildings which have exhibitions, two of which have rotating exhibits, but everything else is outside. The placement of the sculptures is meant to look random and organic, but its clear that there was a lot of work that went into it. They have a lot of winding paths with high bushes or walls or thick screens of trees to make it so that there is a new surprise everywhere you go. And all the displays are so whimsical and creative and unique, it definitely makes it a worthy experience. They have a lot of different statues, but they are definitely best known for their realistic sculptures scattered around the park. They are so well done and organically posed that sometimes its difficult to tell what is a statue and what isn't. Some of them are meant to look like modern people doing ordinary things, while others are meant to be inspired by Impressionist and Romantic art. Its an amazing place that also has great food and is always hosting interesting events. If youre nearby you should definitely check it out. You should set aside four hours if you're planning to go, but you can definitely take much longer

Even though all indoor exhibits are closed. The walk through outdoor grounds was very nice. 90% of it is shaded with plenty of benches to rest. Wear a backpack, bring some water and sandwiches to have an outdoor lunch. Very nice calming place for a casual walk.

A frigging gem! One of the best places to idle a day away with more outdoor sculptures than you can shake a stick at. Of you live anyway near and haven't been then shame on you. If you are visiting the area it's a killer day side trip. Grab a tour to get even more out of the visit

A great place to spend a Sunday afternoon walking and looking at all the sculptures. Not only are there areas to walk around but there are also indoor air-conditioned facilities which serve good food. Lots of animals such as fish, ducks, and frogs but they also have wild peacocks walking around.

One of our favorite places. Requires timed tickets so order early. Everyone was wearing masks, and the time tickets kept the number low. The indoor spaces are closed. One restroom is available. Rats is open, but you have to approach from the outside. A great treat given how hard it is to go to a museum at this time.

I discovered this wonder together with friends from New Jersey. A large exhibition of sculptures inserted in a huge park, with a perfect setting.
The visit takes at least four hours, which was very satisfying for me.
Visited in August 2011.
