Lots of interesting sculptures in many different styles. Great place to take pictures and go on a date
One of the most unique places that I've ever been! There's a surprise around every corner. Great for all ages!
Really nice place. There was a surprise around every corner.
Great place with wonderful sculptures (epic ones and small ones) and chance to be inside some of worlds most popular paintings ... Map wasnt much help so google up before u head there to make sure u dont miss out on seeing attractions
What a beautiful place - can spend the whole day there. Love little areas where you can sit down and have a bite.
Interesting and serene location...on par with some of the world's great parks!
The grounds were lovely, with an extensive variety of sculptures, varying from traditional to modern. The cafe and restaurant on the grounds were both delicious, with an array of simple snacks to a full service French bistro seletion.
Visiting Grounds for Sculpture is always enjoyable. Offering beautifully landscaped grounds and a carefully curated collection of statuary, the Grounds has something for everyone, including youngish children. Big favorites include the roaming peacocks and the artist's rendition of "American Gothic," "Dejeuner Deja Vu" (think Manet's ^Dejeuner sur L'Herbe" and various lifelike depictions of men and women, together and apart. There are COVID restrictions that limit the number of individuals allowed in, so check the website for updates. Currently reservations are required.
It is a good place with a lot of sculptures. Can easily spend 2-3 hours. Some times local libraries carry passes
Wow! This is truly a hidden gem in NJ. It is very hard to describe and is very much a "you need to see it for yourself " kind of place. But see it you must. You can go it alone or hop on a tour. I recommend a tour first to get the lay of the land as this place is huge. We loved it so much, we purchased a family membership so we can return again and again. There are events throughout the year and it is open year round.
Great sculptures and landscaping. A great place to view art. Pick your time wisely attracts a crowd at times especially with young children which can be a little detracting from the overall experience.
Nice place for a walk with a view, a bit pricey though. Good for novelty stuff like Marilyn Monroe
huge sculpture exhibits to small ones aesthetically positioned outdoors. imagination, unlocked.
Always a lovely time at this open air gallery. Great for kids and handicap accessible.
This is a nice place. It makes for a long day of walking. In addition I would plan on carrying food or eating outside of the park. The restaurants in the park are expensive. Good food, but expensive. I was amazed by the lotus flowers, they were so beautiful.
So many sculptures! Be prepared for a long walk since the park is big. But don't worry, they have so many places were you can stop and rest; although they have a restaurant next to the lake. It is cheap ant totally worthy
A hidden treasure. The landscape with beautiful and interesting sculpture throughout is not to be missed. It is contemplative, fun to explore, and an adventure.
This is a wonderful and great place to spend the day.. This place has over 40 acres and hundreds of sculptures throughout. There is so much to see here, it would take a couple of visits to see it all. It is fascinating to learn how this park came about. There are many unique, interesting and beautiful sculptures, including a few about the 9/11 terrorist attack. There was a lot of thought put into how the park was laid out. Lots of trees for shade, benches along the way for resting and numerous buildings with bathrooms and water fountains. This is also a handicapped friendly park. There is a restaurant called Rats on the grounds for those wanting a bite to eat, as well as a cafeteria style restaurant.
Will be going back to see more of what I missed. Would have to describe this as secret in N.J.. I highly recommend a visit here.
While it was a great place to go for a walk, the Grounds For Sculpture seemed to be a place where Mr. Johnson could put all of his very large creations. I had been expecting a park filled with sculptures of renown artists and instead felt that we were ripped off given that most of the grounds were filled with Johnson s stuff. I felt it was more of a vanity park for him and while there were a few other artists represented, I wouldn t recommend going there to be stimulated. However, it s a nice place for families to take their children and for the elderly to walk since it s mostly level.
One of the coolest places I've been. The sculptures come in all sizes and styles. Bring a camera and comfy walking shoes.
Hamilton Township in MOHO can be regarded as home sculptural masterpieces. Grounds For Sculpture however, is where you probably find the highest collections of many of those sculptural masterpieces - ranging from miniatures to life-sized.
The atmosphere is very serene and tranquil enough to evoke real moments of unimaginable inspirations. I was deeply intrigued and inspired during my visit. It's a good place for both individual and group relaxation. There are help desks to guide should a visitor need human help to move around.
A great family place. It is very unusual and thought provoking. Also an interesting way to spend the day outdoors.
An excellent cultural gem for anyone who has a curiosity for sculpture and outdoor works. Many unique pieces staged perfectly in the environment. Anyone who enjoys photography will wonder how they went so long before visiting. Highly recommended.
Nicely built and well maintained, most of the sculpture are attractive, should have enough time to enjoy,
Went here for the ice sculpting event last weekend. I didn't know what to expect since this place is known for being a nice place to leisurely stroll and look at flowers. It was about 28 degrees out, so we bundled up and went with my 15year old daughter. They had luckily considered the fact that someone might have a bored kid in tow and had vendor tables set up, one of which had a scavenger hunt. It kept her busy searching for the specific statutes for 5 hours! They did a great job of having cafes and bathrooms spread out throughout the grounds, too. We also encountered peacocks on our stroll. So many things to look at. Something for everyone. All ages will like it. Can rent wheelchairs. Plan to spend 3+ hours. Bring hat or sunscreen and sunglasses. Bring your camera!
Amazing art and grounds will definitely be back in another season to do another photo shoot good pricing and you can stay as long as you wish
One of my fave cultural places around New York. The center is so big you actually can get lost! Think about of 2-3 hours of detox for your eyes and mind. Absolute tranquility. Don t forget to reserve at the Rats restaurant. The food is good that is spiced up with outdoor gorgeous views
I could walk around here for days and never get bored. The artwork is amazing and the grounds are immaculately kept. Take your time here and really enjoy it.
Good place to pose and take pictures with sculptures.
It was my second time here, but the more expected Marilyn Monroe was removed, as it was a temporary sculpture itseems.
Peacock restaurant has nice ambiance and overall good.
It was more than we expected a lot of walking but really cool
With so many sculptures as well as interesting corners off the park to explore, from curious towers to open lawns, the grounds merit repeat visits.
This place is absolutely MAGICAL. We had only a couple of hours in the area to sightsee and this came up on Google. I figured it would be a collection of random sculptures along a pretty pathway, but this is a whole other world -- art, fun and nostalgia tucked into every beautiful acre.
Beautiful place, you will find art in every corner, it has areas for pic nic
A very AMAZING place !!
A must go see. Bring your camera. It is awesome!
Peaceful and unusual place to visit. We loved the grounds and landscaping as much as or more than the sculptures.
A lot of different kinds of giant sculptures.
Place that needs to spend the whole day to view the whole park.
Good place for photography and also happens to see some wedding events.
Great place to visit, a lot of beautiful sculptures and interesting spots
A bit pricey ($20 per person) but really well kept and a fun way to experience a nice spring day. Although signs say that you can't bring your own food/drink, I saw several people who did anyway. There are also a few restaurants with grab and go fare. There are many areas you can stop, relax and take in the scenery, include near ponds and a lake.
This is a awesome place in nj . Went yesterday with family and loved all beautiful sculptures there . Took some great pics and had enjoyed walking around and exploring . Have to walk a lot but it s worth . Must visit place in New Jersey . My Sunday went well. Satisfied
Absolutely beautiful Sculptures, a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, very peaceful and welcoming space
Grounds for Larceny nearer the mark. $18 for admission. Adult beverages $12 & up. Lunch offerings? $11.50+. Microscopic bag of chips? $3.75. Gift shop? Don't ask.
Sculptures are interesting & staff are helpful though. Eat before you go. Stay away if you are a smoker-- It's verboten.
2 thumbs up. Rat's restuarant was great and service was amazing. Food awesome..
This place is soo cool! I will definitely be back in the spring. The sculptures are all so beautiful.
Amazing things all over the place. Semi hidden ones too, waiting for you to stumble on it. A great place to mill around for a day
Beautiful place, wonderful area to walk. Many paths have been redone with pavers, reducing the mud. The exhibits are varied, with something for children and adults.
Perfect place to spend the day outside weather permitting. Looking forward to visiting In the spring when flowers are blooming.
This place is absolutely gorgeous! The perfect place to go with family, loved ones, or just a cute date with your significant other. It's an extremely big area so give yourself enough hours to be able to explore thoroughly. The map of the More
Wow! This should be on everyone's "bucket list". Astounding!
Nice open space, and a lot of interesting sculptures
Wonderful and beautiful artwork in an outdoor setting. Guided tour s available.
Just a beautiful walk in the park. It is a little pricey to get in but is definitely worth the expense. I could review the sights but it is just better to say, show up; pick a direction; and start walking.
Great place to spend as a family, bring your camera, great place to get lost
Have been there twice in different season. Safe to say it is a great place to visit all year round. Surreal and vivid sculptures all around the park
Large, tranquil, and beautiful place to visit and even picnic. Plenty of space to social distance and cool exhibitions.
Great place, 800 pieces of art. And the ground are as amazing
Wonderful place to visit with kids. Clean bathrooms. Plenty of spots to rest and snack. If I lived closer, I'd become a member and visit monthly.
Make sure you have comfy shoes because there are so many things you will be watching and observing. Also make sure your phone has good battery because you will be taking a lot of pictures. Great atmosphere and a lot of unique displays. I really recommend bringing kids here because you will really drain out their energy haha if you have those energetic ones. It is really worth it to come here and I brought my whole family here after I just came here with my wife first.
Beautiful place , nothing to say must go and see. I went with my famlly and it was a fun day, we will go back again.
Nice balance of walking and art. Foods a little pricey (would be better off bringing your own food and having a picnic!) and you have to buy a map, but otherwise very enjoyable!
Want to get those creative juices flowing, make sure you come here. I am not an artist but have a big appreciation for this place. This place is huge! Cannot even finish going though it one day in my opinion.
This is a giant garden with man size sculptures wrapped around a beautiful lake. Gentleman I recommend brining your ladies here for a fun day of exploration. I would wrap it up by getting a delicious meal at Rats restaurant in the end of the garden. General admission is $18 per person if you are wondering. In my opinion it's well worth it.
Just wish they were closer to North Jersey.
