Good card to help your kids learn about saving and investing. Plus it's a debit card that you can easily send money to when needed.
I had to change numbers from the one I registered and the customer service representative took care of it promptly. This app and card are awesome!
Greenlight is a rip off. People look over your child s transaction. My son has place a order with door dash and after using it, he is hit with all kind of charges from someone ordering McDonald s in different states all in which he doesn t live, also PlayStation. I called Grrenlight and they say they are going to look into it and never respond. My daughter was also a victim. They refunded my daughter but my son is out of a couple of hundred dollars. Greenlight is one big joke
I'm Really liking the Greenlight Cards for my Teens I can keep a eye on what their spending and guiding them to help them try to learn to save sooo Thank you Greenlight you been a Blessing !!!!

Great starter card for the kids. Great customer service if you go through the APP. The Google merchant number listed online seems to offer fewer options in the beginning automation.
Buyer beware... service is not good if you have any problems. I've been using Greenlight for over 2 years now, and was working great. Then I had to switch bank accounts. Using a bank account that has flawlessly connected to other online apps through Plaid (what Greenlight uses to authenticate your account), it won't connect so I can fund this card. I called twice to try to resolve the issue, and both times they told me it was an issue with my bank. Clearly it is NOT since Plaid does fine with my other funding sources. Customer service was NOT helpful since they kept insulting my intelligence by explaining to me that was not their problem. I would have at least expected some effort in trying to fix things, but clearly doing that is not what they are all about. I just kept getting "it's not a problem on our side".
It's a great product, until you run into issues. You have been warned.
FOLLOW-UP: I was contacted directly by the company and they explained that there is intermittent known issues between my bank and the Plaid app. I REALLY appreciated the follow-up phone call and the context. I just needed someone to let me know that they take ownership for their issues, rather than just giving me the "canned answers". Great experience with having someone that followed-up with me.
BEWARE!!!! I went through the process of signing up for an account for my son. When it came time to fund the account I kept getting an error message when adding my bank account. I was able to login to my bank through the Greenlight app but once I selected the account I wanted to withdraw money from I got an error message saying they couldn t add my bank account at that time. I tried several times and got the same error message.
There was a second option to add a debit card manually which I also tried. Same error message. However when I checked my bank account, Greenlight is taking money out of the account. Now when I login to the app I am still being asked to add a bank account or debit card which I can t do because of the error message and Greenlight is STILL removing money from the account.
I am currently on hold with them and have been escalated three times to three different people. I have been on this call for 47 minutes with no resolution. They just keep transferring me to different people and the last guy I spoke to just put me on eternal hold. I have been listening to the worst music for 11 minutes and I am not confidant he is coming back. He told me this was my fault because I started my registration on a computer and went to finish it on the app (not true.) He started to lecture me on how most people finish the registration when they start it. I CAN T FINISH IT BECAUSE THE APP WON T ALLOW ME TOO!!!!!!!
So now this company is withdrawing money from my bank, I never received a debit card and I have no access to the account since the only prompt I receive is to add a bank account or debit card when I login. Which I can t do because of the error message.
Use Current instead. I have NEVER had a problem with them!! This company is a hot mess!
The worst and then they have u calling the company to ask for a refund. They do not protect ur child money. They do not have good secure cards anybody can steal ur money and all they say is call the company. If I could give zero stars I would
