Just hung up after being on hold for thirty minutes
The smallest inch of snow and the entirety of vermont loses power. No estimates on when any of it will be fixed either, reported at 6 in the morning, nothing by 1 p.m. What kind of power company in Vermont loses power to the entirety of Vermont during a single snow storm.
If I could leave no star I would, GMP aka Green Mountain Predators. You have to be in line with the devil to be able work customer service at a place like this and somehow they have no problem finding them. Straight robbing the poor with their $35 disconnection fees that fall on the low income backs.
I made payment 2 days before and still got shut off this morning called and told them I made payment and then asked for the first time to have the reconnect fee waived seeing how I made payment to avoid disconnection to begin with.
GMP getting rich on the backs of the poor with their light tap on door slip notice in and then run to car before it s shut off. Never once have I heard anyone knock before disconnection. This company is the serpent of serpents for this area and they are not ashamed to be that either.
God, I pray that Burlington Electric is able to take over electric services for surrounding cities, they are upstanding and treat customers fairly.
Middle of winooski power out on entire block still investigating after an hour no new info, when I lived in Burlington and had Burlington electric they would have already fixed it
I called Green Mountain Power twice since I got disconnected the first time, and both women I spoke with were less than friendly. THe only question I had was the Annual electricity usage per year we had paid for our home. This was for a report that was sent to me, and they were completely put out to have to provide that information and told me to look online. So I was not impressed with their customer service at all.
as a landlord, when tenants set up accounts they bill both and never shut down old accounts. They claim "we never got it" 3 times in a row when we have confirmed emails and faxes. I thought airlines were bad. Worst run business in america. At the risk of insulting hot dog stand owners - I wouldn't trust these folks to run a hot dog stand. Where is zero stars??
Poor customer service, no explanations on errors on bill. If I was legally allowed to switch companies I would.
Green Mountain Power is no good. Too expensive and poor service. Should report them to the state and have them check this place out.
Lost power due to a squirrel climb to and cause transformer blew out. GMP cam within 30 minutes to resolve issue had power back...thanks .Great Service...GMP
Their website is a disaster. I think they have severe management problems. I've been a customer for fifteen years, never late, my credit card expired, I went into the website updated it, got a confirmation it was updated, then three weeks later got a notice they were disconnecting my power because my bill was unpaid. After many phone calls to their customer service, I finally had to complain to the state regulatory agency to stop them from disconnecting me.
The app is never accurate to what your actual balance is. Random fee charges, one time I had and extra 100$ added to my account so I called them and they kept arguing with me so I hung up and just paid it. One month I'm on a payment plan next month I'm not then I end up paying double to get back on payment plan. Don't ever fall behind a month because you'll never be able to catch up with them.
What a horrible company they are so rude I called because the app charged me double for this month and wanted a refund I said no I really need the money as I m barley making ends meat as is with her attitude said well I m not mailing out the refund probably til Friday anyways you won t get it back right away telling me just to put it for my next payment because we are on the budget plan. Not sure how I m going feed my family this next couple weeks.. the attitude really needs to change for this place wish I had another choice for power
I called with a question about our house's grounding prior to foundation work and the customer service representative was very informative and friendly about what their concerns were and which ones were the homeowner's responsibility. It was quite clear and helpful.

Tried to pay a past due bill that I wasn't even aware of. The needed permission from my husband to allow me to pay it. My husband is Active duty and wasn't able to call them. So I guess they don't need their payment that bad. He'll call when he can.
Like most businesses, it's difficult to get a human on the line but once you do they were helpful. The text on the website needs to be edited so that the directions are more clear when setting up auto payments and other navigational issues.
GMP has a right of way through our property. They are replacing poles, which involves a lot of site work and heavy equipment coming through. They have bent over backwards to make sure that they respect our wishes and are leaving the property better than they found it.
Not great customer service. Had to pay a security deposit for electricity just to switch the name on the account (I've never heard of that....ever)
Awesome response time for most outages. I really appreciate how they send texts for outage statuses. Their bills are very easy to understand as well.

Since living here in Cornwall over the past 5 years, we have lost power a few or more times. The company electricians have responded efficiently to restore power, and with an especially prompt turn-around time during the last two occasions. This is strongly suggestive of some positive client-centered changes over the past couple of years and is very much noticed and appreciated.
Large deposit required for first time user which is kind of odd, website doesnt work well, particularly bill pay options. Crappy customer service.

Don't take payments of bill, horrible customer service, power goes out a lot and normally takes forever to be fixed. Over charging, double charging. Worthless.
Nothing but a bunch of Criminals. I have 3 computers running 24/7 this month's Bill DOUBELED since February and March April! Same computers running nothing has changed we don't even have the air conditioners in yet. I felt I was getting overcharged already and asked them to take the smart meter off. A young lady on the phone told me they would have someone sent out to take it off. THEY CHARGED ME $80! never disclosed on the phone. Screwing Vermonters everyday.
