Green Hill Estate- Plantation Resort Review

Stay was OK.
Food is bad.
No single blanket is available.
And there was no hot water.

We had a wonderful time at Green Hills, excellent service and staff

Wonderful experience..best choice who looking value for money.very clam and quite place which is sourended by tea plantation s.This resort can accommodate every kind of groups.family, bachelor's and couples will get there choice. You can check the photos here.only one problem is the condition from vagamon to hotel is so bad. You must have some good ground clearance vehicle

very secluded and beautiful location amidst the forest. You can also choose for hut cottage on tree top. Amenities (food, cable, hot water etc) are not properly maintained. If it rains heavily, you just can't put a step out...try to avoid in heavy monsoon season. Otherwise, will be a unique experience. Commute by road to the location is pretty bad in monsoon.

Best Resort to enjoy the natural beauty, The ambience at the hotel was Superb. I stayed with my family. This is a perfect place to relax and take it easy. The resort in between tea estate on top of the hill. Nice place to spend your peaceful time. The resort manager Suresh and marketing manager Siraj were very helpful. Great feeling cottages are placed in centre of tea plantation.
You can trek to a waterfall and canal which is nearby. I will recommend others to visit this one time. Food was tasty and delicious.

Beautiful resort. Ideal for nature lovers and people who love trekking. Access roads are not in good condition though

Extraordinary place to spend your vacation.Located at almost top of the hill with scenic and blush green atmosphere.Facilities are awesome.The manager Babu was so helpful and the hospitality is good.Ask for a off-road trekking from the resort guys, it will be one of the best experiences in your life.
Only concern is food varieties, but it's manageable ,since the resort is located pretty far away from Vagamon town.
Overall, Green Hill Estate is a worthy option!!

Worst resort ,I travelled all over hill resorts every year ,We planned a family trip for two days ,we went with four families , first of all ,they have confirmed different rooms after we went their they forced to stay in different rooms ,night full of power trip ,rude talk with guest ,food was not good and they charge more,we don't mind in charging ,<br/>Pls don't go this resort ,that are not good in service ,we stayed it one day and shifted to other resort,<br/>Please please don't go with your family and this is not safe place and the people their ,they are like gundas they treat in their own way

A calm and serene place nestled inbetween lush greenery.
Siraaj who coordinates the reservations was helpful in getting us the room we sought for. He was cordial and was patient enough to walk as through all the facilities in the estate over phone, even before we confirmed our reservation.
The place is situated 9 kms away from the main road. The roads are in a dilapidated condition, but they assured that the funds are released by local bodies and it would be fixed soon. You would forget about the roads and the distance once you reach the place.
We were welcomed by the property manager (Babu, if i remember correctly). He was helpful enough to arrange a quick breakfast for us @11 am as we didnt stopped anywhere for food.
The rooms are really clean and the facilities including thw hot water availability was perfect.
They have cottages and rooms. We took the room no: 204 on the first floor after hearing it has the best view. And it truly lived upto its hype!!! Lake view cottage also has good views.
Facilities include childrens play area, swimming pool(neatly maintained), mini basketball court, and an awesome kitchen with tasty and good food. They offer jeep rides to nearby attractions which we were not able to avail due to time constraints.
Overall a surprisingly nice group of people with good helping and service attitude set on an picturesque location.

Beauty of Nature.. We visited the Green Hill Estate in a group of 50 members. It was tought to find out a resort in Vagamon, which is capable of handling the crowd. We investigated all resorts in Vagamon by going there. Most of them do not have a peaceful & Natural feeling. Our family group consist of members from 5 Months old baby to 78 years old Grandpaa, this was another Problem before us. It was the common public who suggested this Resort. In reality we donot expect more on that time. When we go there to examine the resort, it was so Capctivating and mindblowing. The resort was blessed with Highly Furnished Rooms(4star facility), Balcony, Swimming Pool, Park. We were also happy to see Idukki Dam from there and also wild elephants from the top of resorts. The Villa was also pretty good. The Resort also had many Lighting Arrester while many other resorts had one or two. We where also free to wander around the resort Space. We have a large Estate Space to walk around. The most Surprising factor was that the resort was booked always. We fixed the resort and posponded the date. It is really happy to say you that the Charges was just 3/2 of the others that we had discussed.. Good Resort for Family Trips with Children and Parents. I hope the resort also has many Packages like Boating, Trucking and so all. The Resort was Clean and Tiddy and the Food was really Natural & Delicious.

This is awesome place to spend time. Really a haven of serenity....

Great ambiance. Serene place surrounded by lush green tea gardens

Service is poor. Very very difficult to reach. Roadway is rugged.The room the told us when we called and the room we got was different. Rooms are big and toilets are quite good. Food could have been better. Good pool. Great for kids and groups. Nice atmosphere environment friendly, greenery.

The distance from Promises To Reality is horrible here .. Management gives more expectations by phone about their resorts (4 star facility), but you should provide atleast 50% what you guys promised. Moreover swimming pool is very untidy, Indoor game section is like a normal Conference hall and carrom board is placed upon TT table , no other section for kids play area and music systems .. Very disappointed and not worth for huge money...

This place was an absolute terror to get to. The roads are not paved and very winding. Do not drive up here at night. Place was nice and views wonderful, staff helpful, but not worth the travel it takes to get here. As a foreigner, I thought I was in the movie Get Out here.

Well maintained Tea Garden , Swimming Pool , Play area , Hall Etc

Good place to stay..rooms lived upto the website photos..friendly staff..food was ok..the place was difficult to reach,but great sceanary alaround..and good privacy..nearby there is a lake and a small rapid..good for a two-day stay

Great place. Maintained really well. Rooms are clean and perfect. Perfect for a day or two. You can go trekking in the forest nearby.

The Good:
The resort is located in amazing location at the tops of the hills surrounded by tea plantation.
The resort itself is well maintained. We rented one of the big cottages and we were a party of 36(extended family)and we had enough space for us.

The Bad:
The day we arrived, unfortunately we didn't get keys to the cottage as the cottage wasn't ready because the previous group who stayed there made a mess of the whole place, lots of drinking. The place smelt of booze and vommit. So we had to ask the resort guys to clean the rooms twice to get the smell away(it still lingered). As we were a family group, some of the elders didn't approve of it. However after the initial hiccup, we really did have a good time.
The food I have to say was very ordinary, in some cases not at all good. If they manage to get a decent enough chef and get some good food, this place would be amazing.
There were a few kitchen staff who were very rude and we did have an argument, wasn't impressed. Any food we ordered extra is very expensive for the quality/quantity delivered.
We did order a birthday cake and it had to be brought from down the hills, when it arrived the cakes toppings were completely smashed and birthday message was gone, but still they charged the whole amount for the cake.
They left 4 bottles of water per bedroom(4bedrooms) for a party of 36 and charged for any bottles which were ordered extra, which is totally ridiculous as you cant drink the tap water there.
The customer service wasn't great, if that's what you are looking for.
But the location was pretty amazing.

I've been here with friends and we had a way lot too much fun which..( I like way lot too much)

its a good place..the area is awsme with a good view, they also have a pool and the whole place is surrounded by tea plantation.the staff is very friendly and the food is really good,but a bit expensive.

If you choose this resort you want to carry towels, bedsheets, pillows and even extra bed, also a housekeeper and a cook.
We found some small bed bugs in the extra beds they providing.
Swimming pool very poor maintenance.
No proper response from the staff.
One thing we wonder how they receiving positive reviews. This is actually a very large property with good location but they people failed in service, food, cleanliness, customer satisfaction.

Stay was amazing. Really good surroundings. Stay within tea plantation is also a hood experience. Highlight is the food. If you like kerala food, this is the best place to have it. Not with the verities but with the taste

it is very much attached to nature and is very interesting to see the changing climate in minits. With lot of aminities, natural wind and fog in the middle of tea estate. Best for a family trip and bachilar trip. !!!

The view from this place is awesome... But they should still improve their services..

5. A beautiful waterfall near to the estate (Less than 1 KM distance)
6. WiFi facilities
7. Conference Hall which can also be utilized as Table Tennis court and Carroms play area.
8. Small basketball court.

Beautiful calm area free from the crowd. Have woods and a tunnel nearby of you like a short trek.

I have come here more than 5 times. Every time I come here it gets better and better. Love the location. The rooms are well managed.

The Resort is loacted in a good view point. Nice rooms, good view from the balcony.
But the food served is the worst. The staff behaviour is worst. Act like they are rowdies and the cuatomers are servents. Facilities told in the package was not provided. Threten the customers and make them pay even for the service they dont serve and facilities . The swimming pool provided was worst they it was full of algeys and worms. The speakers provided for the camp fire was not working.Does not support USB, aux cable.
The Breakfast , lunch and dinner provided was worst.
It was a total waste of money satying there for the facilities, customer service and food they provided.

Nice Resort for a family & friends get together , For Corporate event also , Nice Food , Play area , Swimming pool .
