The Greater New Orleans Foundation: Empowering Communities and Creating Positive Change
The Greater New Orleans Foundation (GNOF) is a non-profit organization that has been serving the Greater New Orleans Region for over 30 years. The foundation's mission is to provide strategic philanthropy and civic leadership to make the region greater than ever. GNOF works towards creating positive change in the community by supporting various initiatives, programs, and organizations that address critical issues such as education, health care, economic development, social justice, and environmental sustainability.
GNOF was established in 1983 with a vision to create a better future for the people of Southeast Louisiana. Since then, it has grown into one of the largest philanthropic organizations in the region with assets exceeding $350 million. To this end, GNOF has formed partnerships with various community-based organizations, government agencies, businesses, and individuals who share its vision of creating a better future for all.
