About Great Parks of Hamilton County
Welcome to Great Parks of Hamilton County (formerly Hamilton County Park District). We are a non-profit organization that manages over 17,500 acres of parkland in the Greater Cincinnati area. Our mission is to preserve and protect natural resources while providing outdoor recreational opportunities for all ages.
Our parks offer a wide range of activities including hiking, fishing, camping, picnicking, golfing, boating and much more. With over 80 miles of trails throughout our parks system, visitors can explore the beauty of nature on foot or by bike. Our parks also feature several lakes and rivers where visitors can enjoy fishing or boating.
One unique aspect of our park system is our commitment to environmental education. We offer a variety of programs for children and adults that focus on conservation and sustainability. Our educational programs include guided hikes, wildlife observation tours, bird watching classes and much more.
Great Parks also offers several facilities for events such as weddings or corporate gatherings. Our venues include historic buildings like the Winton Woods Harbor Clubhouse or modern facilities like the Sharon Centre at Sharon Woods Park.
