Really enjoyed working here. This was the beautiful side of Corporate America. And the employees greatly care about their customers & getting these orders in on time!

The magazine fundraiser was a disaster,
The "create your own photo book" was a waste of money. The templates for it were horrible, and the editor was a joke. The dirt cheap prizes given to the students were awful.
Overall a terrible fundraising experience.
The prizes are so high for what you get!! 8 oz. Mixed Nuts $21.50 way too much!! Not happy at all.
The have a couple of donation items listed as a purchase option. One of the items was for a school that was for deaf children. When I inquired if I could write this off on my taxes, I was told to see my tax adviser. Even the Girl Scouts lets folks know that their military cookie donations are eligible for a tax deduction. Based on their response, it made me think that their donations listed are not for non-profit organizations. Disappointed.
Not a good work environment. Too much they won't you to do for the little amount they pay.
We are not selling anything for this company. They support the NFL by selling their flags through their fund raising. We refuse to do it.
Watch out for the coloring on the tumblers. I ordered a TX Tech one and the bottom half that has the red is actually almost a burnt orange. The kid is the correct color of red. Amy lighting I put it in is still showing too much orange in the red dye. Not happy about it. The red in my "It's a Texas thing y'all" is correct. Why would it be different?
This company refused to cancel an order made 6 hours after some deadline that they made for our troop. The deadline online was Sunday and the paper deadline was Monday. They refused to cancel the order or make it count with GS of A for our troop rewards or benefits, because we placed the online order on Monday morning instead of Sunday night. Don t work with these people, they clearly don t care about helping the troops.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!
They will give you the run-around and tell you your order is shipping and then they will turn around and say your order has not been paid for.
I spent $66 on fundraising items for my grand daughters band fundraiser and I used the online services to order my items. I have been checking with this company on the status of my order since October and first they told me my items were shipping and then they said my order was in"cart status" and to resubmit and PAY for my order. WHAT!!?? I already paid $66 and a month later, I still do not have my items.
I have filed a complaint with the BBB and hopefully this will get resolved.
I give Great American 2 stars because there were some truly wonderful people who worked bottom-rung jobs for them.
Overall, this company was a greedy joke.
They just axed many long-time employees without so much as a kiss goodbye.
They weren't innovative enough to change with the times, and even thought they were being slick by laying off employees during slow times and expecting the government to pay them via unemployment.
Naturally, they'd call them back when they wanted them, and paid loyal employees (mostly women) peanuts even though they'd worked there for decades.
They preyed on good women who had to juggle working with raising families, then they kicked them to the curb.
All under the guise of helping kids...
Pathetic.
