In my opinion, OK, hastily last minute accommodated me for reasonable money, super rich breakfast and super location right before the rain. Unfortunately in front of the hotel there was apparently a different variety of existence, but with that about GHB did not do anything, no.
The facility is located on the street and therefore you cannot park there by bus. The rooms are cozy and have adjustable air conditioning for a good standard of breakfast.
Room is big, though a bit history. Just located in front of train station, convenient to take the train.

Excellent location of the hotel in relation to the city center itself. Accommodation is favorable. The breakfast is varied with a wide range of dishes, the principle of a Swedish table. One of the oldest, if not the oldest hotel in Brno. I recommend.
+ The location is perfect - right next to the bus and railway stations. The room was spacious with a really high ceiling. The big bathroom had a bathtub and enough shampoo, gel and lotion. A kettle and some tea was a nice addition. It was warm in the room and there was an AC as well. Wi-fi worked well.
- It can be a bit noisy at night because of tram line nearby.
The room are really big. But the cleaning room service is very poor... i stay almost one week and they not cleaning nothing... just making the bed.
Staff could be more friendly, no good choise of food at breakfast, tv wasnt working in our room so we were upgraded to a larger much better room. Cleaning lady took our towels when cleaning the room, didnt leave new ones...good parking in front of the hotel. Reasonable price.
If you have the opportunity, find another hotel in Brno
We had a corporate event in Grandhotel and my rating is maximum satisfaction. Everything went without a problem. Environment and catering level, kind and helpful staff. I must highlight the professional attitude of all concerned and wish many clients as satisfied as we were.
Old, centrally located hotel. Room huge, beds were soft. The breakfast was great, nothing to complain about.
From 5 o'clock was built outside, the night was over, also closed with a window.
The bar was overwhelmed, took forever for 4 drinks and the friendliness, well.

Old hotel but very well preserved. The rooms are super spacious and very clean. The price includes breakfast buffet that is very complete. The treatment of workers is very pleasant. It has a small gym and if you want to park your car in the hotel, they call it parking but you park in the street, you have to book it before and pay about 18
Nice hotel with good service. However, the room where I was in need of a small renovation (floor covering) also the room was very warm. Fortunately, windows could open. But this caused a lot of noise coming in from the station right across the hotel.
This is also a plus. Very close to the central station and you are also right in the center.
I visit Brno a lot of time for work reason and I always stay in GrandHotel. Every time a very good experience!

The typical "okay" hotel. Well, if you want to go to the city, the parking lot can be a horror of parking. The size of the room is good, but you can see dirtier shavings, small blemishes in the bathroom. The equipment is good, but nothing outstanding. The breakfast selection is good and the quality is good. So, by the way, there is no big problem with it, but in the middle of nowhere, it has nothing to offer that I could have fallen in love with.
The room is not like the photos. The prize is not according to the hotel. Breakfast was ok
If this would be called Retro Grandhotel Brno, then all good.
As that's not the case, I would not recommend to stay here if you are looking for better quality hotel. Rooms are big, that's true, however everything is really old, worst case even not working. Highly doubt correctness of 4*s, been in better 2* hotels....
Also don't know if it's clever to put only trainee on reception during night, haven't experienced plenty 15 min check-ins in my life....
Very slow service in the garden restaurant. Although it was completely empty and we were the only three people in the restaurant with only ordered cash from the daily menu, we waited longer than elsewhere for minutes. Otherwise, the service is decent and decent. Completely unsuitable for fast food.

Very nice hotel adjacent to the historical center of Brno. The reception staff is very courteous and professional as are the cleaning ladies on the floors and the breakfast staff. Comfortable rooms although slightly sparse on the walls. Excellent music from the 20s and 30s in the background in the lobby which, together with the breakfast room, recalls the art deco style. If I go on to Brno again, I'll be back.
We're sad we only had 1 night to spend here. The hotel was great. Room was spacious and great shower. The breakfast buffet was excellent and in a beautiful garden room. Staff were good and it has AC. No complaints.

Grand hotel...luxury hotel,HA what a joke!! There is nothing grand or luxurious about this hotel. Carpets stained, non-working A/C units in rooms, shower falling apart, bad coffee, an unappetizing breakfast buffet, billing issues and cleaning staff not in uniforms. I thought they were hotel quest until I seen them pushing the carts. Hell I ve seen motel 6 cleaning ladies in uniforms. I lived in Brno in 2013 and always wanted to stay here so, when the wife and I did a trip back in lAugust 2017 to visit the city we love so much I jumped at the chance to book a room here. Boy was I disappointed with the outcome. The A/C unit made this horrible clicking sound that was loud enough to stop you from sleeping when it came on. It took two days for them to send someone up to say Yeah it s broke after I told them that already. I was so pissed with the outcome from the service that I demanded my money back and told them I d find a different hotel in Brno for the rest of our trip. Then and only then did they act concerned and offer us a different room.
I ve lived in Europe and I know they don t hold customer service to highest of standards which I understand and do like for the most part. However, when you do understand what I m saying and ignore me then we have an issue. I can t deal with stupidity and imbeciles.
Not worth the money so, trust me stay somewhere else.
I think we as Americans get baby d in the U.S. way to much...and the customer is not also right. But we expect the customer service industry to bend over backwards for us...even when we are clearly wrong.
But in this case, we had legitimate arguments
Through the old windows to the street on the 1st floor you can hear everything that is passing by and that there is enough ..... so it is not a place to sleep. For me to the replacement of windows never again. Otherwise, the room is large, the bed is good, everyone can choose breakfast, good coffee for breakfast at the hotel. Staff neutral.
Only the name and the size of the rooms are "grand". And the price is also grand (without quotes). So, I do not recommend it but you can try on your own. Overall I'm not satisfied.
There are no questions to the room and its cleaning. The staff is friendly, speaks English and German, and only a few - in Russian. The breakfasts are delicious, but not very diverse and abundant (this is Europe, not Turkey :)) There is a bar and it seems like a casino (it wasn t at the casino, a decent bar). In general, the impressions are rather positive.

The hotel is rated as average - the equipment in the room is older, but sufficient. The bathroom was tidy on arrival, the next day they added towels, but it was not cleaned. We had a window to the street, we heard noise (trams, noisy people). WiFi was all over the building. Breakfast excellent - a large selection from eggs, sausages, to salami, cheese, fruit, etc.

Staff were helpful and friendly to deal with. Location is perfect for walking around the city centre and for access to the main train station, bus and tram routes. Room was on a non smoking floor but the carpets need to be replaced to remove the odour of stale tobacco.

Bad, bad ... It's not it anymore. The line-up that once worked flawlessly and gone is gone. These are replaced only by hops who do everything for money and crime.
Beautiful huge room, big selection on breakfast, perfect location iom and friendly staff. Historic place where Franz Ferfinand or Edisonstayed. Also they played some movie here just few months after it was developed by Louimiere freres in 1889.

Has excellent customer service, decent room accommodations, and better than anticipated complimentary breakfast. The hotel is old fashioned, perhaps hundreds of years old, and has maturity that shows. The central location is very convenient, with primary transportation hub of the city for both tram, and bus station. I wish the rooms had better climate control for warmer days off year.
Front desk was friendly, room was clean, breakfast was good where there was plenty to eat, the location was good, what more could you ask for
