This place was great. Easy walk on and off the ship. We got off early and were able to get a really good place under one of the free umbrellas. The cruise center has a bunch of free chairs and umbrellas, the green ones, for people to use. They are in a row under the palm trees so there is always plenty of shade.

Nice clean terminal. The beach chairs and umbrellas are free, complimentary from Carnival, but locals will try to rent them to you. Kindly refuse! The beach is very rocky, but lovely none the less. Lots of little shops. Margaritaville is pretty cool.

The shops are as you'd expect with the usual gift shop items of most destinations & a variety of novelties shops. We rented a golf cart to tour the island & the staff could've offered us a map. We just took a pic of our friends map. The golf cart staff was knowledgeable about their equipment & the island & answered any questions & offered some advice on places to go & some history. I stopped in the Post Office to get my passport stamped for a small fee. Margaritaville nullified the agreement we had with them to have our DJs play music for our group of 150-200 people 3 hours after a few complaints that they refused to tell us what they were & how many people complained. Needless to say after spending money for a few hours there we took our $$$ to Reef Shark Bar and Grill down the beach & received a warm welcome & much better service. I'll never go to another Margaritaville again anywhere in the world.

I've been in this place 4 times already and it's basically never changed. They got your alcohol, and its very clean inside, but it's a typical tourist stop. If you are looking to escape the sun and heat, then this would be your place. Nothing really outstanding apart from that.

MAKE SURE to go to the van/taxi area and pay the fee to go to Pillory beach, the water is CLEAR over there! Also really great water for snorkeling, I saw SO many different types of fish! There is no seaweed like there is near the cruise port. Other than that, there isn't much at this port

The port on Grand Turk Island felt very safe after arriving there on a Carnival cruise ship. A subsequent dune buggy ride showed that the cruise port is in a gated area with security at the perimeter. The island seemed very tranquil. It was reminiscent of a Western movie...a dusty, undeveloped town with dirt roads and isolated buildings. This is an unpopulated island with no large buildings, very few cars on the roads, and a very relaxed atmosphere.

One of my favorite cruise stops. If you're not interested in touring the island or doing an excursion, everything you need is right there as soon as you step off the ship. Beach, pool, shopping, Margaritaville all right there.

I'm givong this a three star cause i find the experiance isn't as intimate as it used to be, lets say ten years ago. The cruise ships have gotten too big for how much people it can handle and i didn't like deing heckled as soon as you got on to the beach from he cruise center for chairs and unbrellas to rent, margarittaville is beautiful but again, too many people, if you arrive on a smaller class ship that holds around 2000 people or less, the experience will be so much nicer
