GRAND HYATT LAS VEGAS Review

Stayed at Hyatt Place Las Vegas for 1 night. Nice hotel room, relatively quiet. Included breakfast was good.

Nice grounds, clean rooms and an above average breakfast. Downside is being able to read the undersides of jets departing Mccarran, from the pool.

Clean suits with all the amenities. Would love to stay here again.

It was not water at all,for a few hours,and not friendly staff!

We are Hyatt members and naturally try to stay at Hyatt whenever possible. We also expect each Hyatt hotels to be at a certain level. Understand that Hyatt place is not Grand Hyatt or even Hyatt Regency, but this one is worse than other Hyatt Place that we have stayed in. It has an "old" hotel oder and the carpets looked dirty and smelly. Though we got a really large suite, the layout was inefficient and didn't smell fresh. The heater was so loud that it woke us up a couple times at night and the blanket was too thin to not turn on the heater. Not up to Hyatt standard!

Large room, well cleaned, wonderful front desk staff, large complimentary breakfast, 24 hour food options in the hotel and next door, and only about a mile from the strip. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Should not stay here. Airport flight path directly overhead. Right on the edge of a rough part of towne. Pay the extra and stay on the strip. Worth it

I was not overly impressed with this particular location. I initially gave it a glowing review because my issues were seemingly resolved/addressed quickly; however, the stay at this hotel was a hassle and was anything but relaxing.

During check-in we had issues with the reservation(s). The Gallery Hosts resolved the issues within about 20 minute, at least for the most part. The ladies were helpful and friendly which was great. It was downhill from here, unfortunately.

Housekeeping was a joke. Housekeeping didn't arrive to the room until around 5:00 PM each day, rarely replaced (or didn't)used coffee mugs, used glasses and even towels. The housekeeping removed our soiled towels on the floor (all bathroom towels), yet failed to replace the towels. We had our used coffee cups sitting on the counter for two days before I went to the desk and had to ask for replacements.

My check-in issues creeped back up again later on in my stay and I received an erroneous folio and was told that it "shouldn't" be an issue, yet the host didn't want to look into it to verify that it wasn't going to be an issue. I inquired about using points against my folio and the host said it could happen and to let someone know the next day (at checkout) that I wanted to use my points and that he okayed it. Unfortunately, this was a false expectations, as the hotel cannot apply points, only customer service can.

The breakfast was mediocre at best. Most of the cooked food was dry and inedible. The cereal was fine, as was the yogurt, but that's about as far as it went.

I won't bore you with the additional issues with my stay. I'll get to the amenities of the location that were actually nice:

Across the street from Hard Rock Hotel/Casino
Near convenience store for snacks and essentials
Great food nearby
About 1 mile from LAS

Overall, I am highly disappointed in this particular Hyatt Place. I stay with HP often during my travels (Boise, Honolulu, Salt Lake City, Reno and Sacramento), and this is by far the worst experience I've had. The hotel is undergoing renovations, and this is an excuse the hotel management uses to overcome the poor service; however, when I stayed in Sacramento during renovations, the staff was pleasant and the experience was great.

YMMV with this hotel, but based on my experience I will likely never visit again. I may give it a few years when the hotel has switched out staff and management, but in the next year or two I do not plan to stay here again.

Great place if you don't mind the air planes taking off our the band practicing. Pretty good breakfast. Rooms could use a microwave but it was clean and in a good location...... Considering.

Not overly impressed. Aside from finding hair on the counter...simple mistake from cleaning hopefully, but the cockroach roaming around the breakfast area really disturbed me. Especially with its cunning method of disappearing everytime I attempted to strike it. Also found a bug crawling on the bed the last night I was there. Ugh.

Best staff in Vegas, awesome atmosphere. Felt very well taken care of the whole stay.

The room was nice and came with morning breakfast. Uber rides came quickly to get to the strip. There were a few free shuttles to the airport or strip.

Really bad... run dont walk. Hotel is right on major road. Dilapidated at best. Mattresses old, can feel the springs. You can do better in Vegas. This place sucks.

No casino, just a great, quiet hotel. Big clean rooms, very good free breakfast. Only complaint is that the workout room could be better.

The hotel has been refreshed recently, not a bad place to stay.

Good customer service with an awesome breakfast. Several good restaurants and stores are close by. They cookies they put out for the guest in the afternoon were amazing!

The Hyatt was awesome. It was easy to get to with ample parking. The room was clean and more spacious than anticipated. The staff was kind and courteous. Wish I could remember the guys named who helped me with my bags, but he was awesome. I'm a simple guy, so I didn't really use too many services, but the front desk was able to answer all my questions and give great suggestions for things to do.

Hyatt is a brand I trust. I stayed for three nights and enjoyed the pool and the breakfast very much. The hotel also provides free shuttle to and from the airport and to a casino. Hyatt Place is much better than those on the Strip. Highly recommended!

Great breakfast! Best part about this stay whenever I'm here for it. The wifi was awful, I couldn't even do email. The bathtub was chipping badly, got a scratch on my hand from it. And the walls are paper thin, can hear jets flying by, construction outside, repair work inside, the cleaners in the hall, your neighbors conversation.

The hotel staff went out of their way to assure my crew and I were picked up from the airport. Then when we arrived at the hotel, he seemlessly smoothed out our checked in! Very much appreciated at 2am!!

Ive stayed at the Hyatt place in Seattle. The rooms are equally nice, but the hotel itself in Vegas feels a lot more downscale. The breakfast spread is slightly less satisfying though very similar. But on the whole, not a bad place to stay in. Quite conveniently located, an Uber ride to the strip is about 6 bucks. If you get a good price, definitely a great bargain.

Excellent place to stay specially if you want to stay next to the airport. 5 minutes away from Las Vegas International airport. Very calmed and quiet place, rooms are big and comfortable. Staff is excellent and very professional.

Say what you will, but Hyatt Place is very consistent coast to coast. I expected at least a little Las Vegas flair being a few blocks from the strip, but nope, looks like every other Hyatt Place. No complaints though, nice clean quiet room as usual.

The staff is awesome, friendly and very helpful. The property is very well maintained and good location if you don't want to be on the strip but still close to a casino. The rooms are great with very comfortable beds. Would definitely come back.

Five minutes from the airport via hotel shuttle which leaves top and bottom of hour. Nice complimentary breakfast that includes slightly above average selections. Rooms are clean with separate sleeping and sitting areas, plus refrigerator. Plenty of outlets for personal devices. Wifi connects automatically. No password required. Area has high road traffic. Use caution if walking.

Just as expected, lobby is a bit crowded and early check-ins were not allowed

Being under 21 we we're having a hard time finding a hotel that would accommodate us, and the staff was very nice and professional with us. We loved our stay!

This is my second year that I stay here now for 6 days very quiet

Could have been a better place for the money charged.
Pros:
The breakfast was quite good with enough food for my partner who eats everything as well as me though I eat only veg with no eggs. The pancakes were great with the add-on strawberry preserves and maple syrup. My partner had enough options for eggs (I think scrambled eggs, boiled and 1 more variety). Oatmeal, yogurt and coffee and tea.

Cons:
The room could have been better with a softer mattress. The bathroom seemed like a motel 6 bathroom with just a shower stall covered by shower curtain - the one where all the water flows onto the entire floor. There should have been a trashcan in the bathroom too.

Conveniently located close to the airport and the staff are excellent and helpful but you get noise of the airplanes and its difficult to walk to the strip (but easier to drive in and out of Vegas from this hotel)

Good breakfast, helpful and attentive staff, and convenient location near but not on the Strip. Room was clean and wifi worked well. Small closet is the only niggle I can come up with.

The hotel is located on the corner of 2 VERY busy streets and you can here it from your room. I received a handicapped room (which I didn t need) that was tucked away in a corner down a scary hallway. The laundry room was right next to mine with the door open so I could watch employees washing sheets. Then I d pass someone s office with that door open too. The bedroom was situated really oddly. The bathroom sink was not in the bathroom, but across from the bed, next to the tv?? There were very few outlets and no USB ports. No outlets near the bed or night stands which was frustrating when needing to charge your phone and wanting to be on it at the same Time. The swimming pool is tiny. With all the hotels in Vegas I would pass on this one.
Now if you get a great rate, it may not be terrible, it is clean.

Service is very good and their breakfast is tasty. I live their for two days and they change the food for the two days I lived. Usually hotel breakfast has same food every day but this no.

It's a nice hotel, with free breakfast. The breakfast is decent with good coffee. The location is not far from the strip. Rooms are acceptable for the price.

All you hear are the airplanes taking off, day and night. My room door keeps getting stuck. It's 3 miles from the strip. Staff is really friendly though.

A great place to stay! Just off of the strip but close to it if that's where you want to go.

The rooms are great and the food is appetizing! The view is breathtaking! Vegas is fun to be at! Bring friends for excitement all week!

I strong agree, we loved the room, outer location made it easy to maneuver around Las Vegas, parking was wonderful and free, and the morning breakfasts were the best! The staff was like family and the place was to cater to business oriented groups, and for sports teams who want a place without any distractions (no gambling), and located next to UNLV campus. Only one-time run in with homeless individual at the backside parking lot. Aloha

This Hyatt has very nice outgoing staff but the place is sadly in need of a redo. Do not walk the halls in your white socks, LOL. Directly in take off path of airport. Go to Naked Pizza for a pie!
