Good hotel with good service. The crew is very friendly and know their languages. The rental bicycles are functional without electric power or gears. We didn't had dinner reservations but the breakfast was tasty and complete. The room was clean and the shower was very good. Sadly the previous guest smoked in the room but after leaving the windows open for almost a day most of the stench was gone.
A great hotel, with lots of historical features. The building itself used to be a postoffice. They kept a lot of items from this period in the building and displayed it all over the place. The receptioniste was very friendly and the room was exceptionally big and well designed. We had the suite on the first floor on the corner. So we could watch over the long street infront of the hotel.
Because of Corona, you had to get your own drinks and food. But as everything was well organised, we didn't mind.
The food is excellent and the kitchen staff very polite.
We also used the spa, which was very nice. And also because corona, we had the whole spa for ourselves!
Would we tell our friends about this hotel? Most defenitely!!

We stayed for 2 nights. The service was horrible. We had a reservation, however we were then told to wait for 1 hour because there was no table available. Restaurant was not full but the food still took very long, when the food was finally served it was cold. The plates from the starters were left on the table and the main course was served with the empty plates still on the table. All of us ordered steak, however we were never asked how we would like it cooked. All of the steaks were served well done. Also in the hallway of the rooms, there was room service food that was left outside a guests room for more than 24 hours. We booked this hotel with good expectations, however it was one of the worst we have been in. A 4 star hotel, it felt more like a 1 star hotel. There were many more things to complain about. A 4 star hotel is not allowed to do this many mistakes!

Lovely place, friendly and caring Staffel, tasty breakfast inside an old postal-building with vintage Interieur in my opinion the best you can get in Leeuwarden.
Nicely transformed old post office. Unfortunately the restaurant didn't satisfy our taste buds. But if for the hotel I would recommend as it is newly renovated so in good shape.
