Seems to be staffed by worthless student types. Service dreadful. Will not be returning.

Pay attention to your receipt when you sit outside and checkout. We were seated at table 23 but the receipt did not correspond. At first I thought I was wrong, the bartender was not really sympathetic. Suddenly someone from the staff said that table 23 corresponds to table 4023 in the cash register system. Shrimp croquettes are cold inside, got new ones but it wasn't hot either.

The food itself was tasty, although the sesame seeds on the mozzarella sticks was a bit of a flavour confusion for the first few bites.
The service however was horrible. The staff ran around like chickens with no heads, arguing about what they had to do and not helping each other out as they should have to clear tables. We also didn't get any cutlery until the couple next to us told the server to bring us some. Even then, we didn't get any napkins. Also, I ordered a latte and apparently they only serve latte macchiatos, so be ware, as according to the server there is "no difference". If ordering coffee, you make have to ask for cream and sugar on the side as they didn't give us any for the latte or normal coffee. Also, check your receipt, they charged us for extra items we never ordered, luckily I caught it before we left.
Needless to say, never going back, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

The food was very tasty. The menus are provided in many different languages for the tourists. The rustic atmosphere was very nice.
Only the waiter could not speak German so well and did not know the German menu so well. (Complaining at a high level)

Cozy location with open fire. Food is okay, but not very special. Price for main courses is appropriate. Starters a bit heavy on the price, although given the large portion of carpaccio the price was appropriate again.

Delicious dining in an old-Dutch setting, good food and a beautiful location. Cozy in the middle of Muiden. Staff were a bit young and sometimes walk past your table without asking if you want something to drink, but that didn't spoil the fun. Even an old-fashioned smoking room

Stopped and had lunch on the way back from Muiderslot. The food and service was great.

Nice restaurant, friendly service, good food and great value for money. Finished our trip to Muiderslot Castle.

Knowledge about beer falls short. On the remark that the beer was completely beaten to death, it was taken from the table without explanation, poured back and forth in 2 glasses and put on the table again. That was clearly not the solution.

Amazing nice and calm view. The server is very gentle and friendly.

Great place to eat and have a drink. Nice place at the lock where you can almost touch the boats. Unfortunately we were sitting exactly under a tree, which meant that some of our leaves fell into our food.
In the first round of drinks, we were immediately offered a basket of bread.
I ordered spare ribs, which were not as soft and juicy as I prefer. However, the taste was very good. The patotoe wedges were delicious! Completely in combination with the fresh lemon-like sauce of the spare ribs.
My brother had the fish & chips which he found very tasty. My father did not find the tenderloin satay very special.

I had a good dinner here. The steak was fine, just a pity that the gorgonzola sauce was forgotten. We were upstairs in the room, so there was not always someone from the ministry present. And I found the service to be a bit brisk and lack a sense of humor. But that can happen once. Although that is not really smart in the catering industry. It is also a beautiful location.

Delicious lunch address. Both by the fireplace in winter and on the terrace in summer.

I had dinner there with a friend on Friday October 13, 2017 but found it a bit disappointing. 25 years ago I came there more often and back then it was always busy and there was always delicious food. Now it was quarter full ... And the service is a bit clumsy and unintelligible and the food is not bad but the fries were too salty and the ice cream from our dessert was still frozen ... All in all not recommended .... But Muiden stays fun!

It was great fun. It is old-fashioned cozy. The steak is also highly recommended.

Bad service and unfriendly staff. And as everyone here can see for themselves: the entrepreneur does not deign to respond to even a review. It leaves them cold, the more so because they have enough visitors because of the location.

Nice place in cozy little town just outside Amsterdam. Good food . Despairing that it was not stated that they only took Dutch bank cards and cash.

Completely inflexible staff, salad was on demand only with yogurt dredsing possible, not with vinegar & oil, the salad at the side dish is however with vinegar & oil served. Chocolate sauce on ice was not feasible for an extra charge :(
Food was rather mediocre (cheap ingredients) and the beers were really only half full.

Such a shame for the people who organized it. We had 5 coupons. Unfortunately only 3 drinks can order. The room was much too small for 65 people, the buffet minimal. Too few staff and the food ran out when we were ready! It was said 2 men in the kitchen. Nice weather, was known! Too bad, we didn't even get coffee! ........ end of a beautiful day! Sorry, so not recommended for a large group of volunteers!

I had been here many times in the past with great pleasure! But I couldn't appreciate this last time. The entourage is a cozy brown cafe, where you can order a plate service.
For a cup of coffee and a beer I think it is a nice occasion. The waiter gave us the impression that he was busy! Couldn't tell us what festivities were taking place outside his doorstep !
Well! What is a customer experience and what impression do you want to leave! Not so ....... too bad!

Appetizer was good, but nothing much could go wrong here. Shrimp cocktail and fish pallet. Sate from tenderloin was well done instead of medium very tough meat with a strange aftertaste. Not to be repeated.

I remember for a while that the tent was run by one Mr. Spaan. How can a restaurant go backwards, bad, very uninterested, wait-and-go service, cold food and too expensive for the dredger you get served. Never again !!!!

Muiden is a lovely place and this is a lovely stop. Service is good and we always get toasties for lunch.

Really love this kind of restaurant, very authentic. Great menu and the food looks and tastes delicious. Wonderful warm ambiance!!!

Not as good anymore as in the past but pretty okay because of the nice ambiance! The menu has changed to more vegan and well, I just don't like that. The service staff is young and ignorant / awkward and it takes a long time before you get your order on the table, even if it is just a simple drink. In addition, the tables are also not just cleaned ... gatver !!!
