My husband died in 2015 and Good Shepherd from Springfield gave him care the last 3 weeks of his life. I thought the nursing care was good until I saw the care my cousin received. She also had cancer as did my husband. Larry was on oral narcotics while Judy had the oral plus a narcotic patch. Larry was in constant pain and couldn't be touched. He was unresponsive the last 2 or 3 days before passing. Judy, on the other hand, with another hospice agency, was shaving her legs and planning her funeral with family the day before she died. The difference in care was astounding. I am still grieved by the pain my husband had after learning he didn't have to. I DO NOT recommend Good Shepherd.
