Good Shepherd Lutheran is warm and welcoming. An active church family, it offers many opportunities to serve and socialize. I would encourage all to visit and find your new church home!

The parking is easy. The building is well maintained. The church shows that it is involved in multiple outreach activities.
Awesome people who want nothing more than to help out their community and be part of something bigger. So glad to have found this church when we arrived to the area a few years ago.
I was warmly welcomed to this Church and enjoyed the services and a meeting I attended after one service.
AMAZING church with amazing people! When I moved back to the area years ago, I was looking for a new church, and I'm sho glad that I chose this one. Everyone, from the Senior to Associate Pastors, the staff, the congregation, has been wonderful. I eventually had my children baptized here, and both attended the preschool (the staff there are equally wonderful). Everyone is warm, inviting, inclusive, and I couldn't ask for a better home church. If you're looking for a new church, I highly suggest trying them out. If you're looking for a preschool, I suggest Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool as well. Both my children attended from when they were able until they started public school. My youngest will be in K this year, and he was so sad to leave his preschool, but we're all happy that they sull get to attend Sunday School here.
Good Shepherd is a wonderful place. It has a beautiful sanctuary, a lively congregation and a full program committed to serving the community. There is traditional liturgy worship and a more modern service with live band. It's a nice mix of different people and the focus is on Christ.
What is wrong with the ELCA these days? No transparency and so much deception. In this day and age where you can google everything Pastors should be absolutely truthful with their congregations. Six weeks notice... Nice.
Feel very relaxed in a non-judgmental family way. Thoroughly enjoyed the music; the band is exceptional and uplifting. The hymn lyrics, etc., are projected on the walls so there is no need to fumble with the hymnal or speak the prayers. Highly recommend this church.
Selecting a place to worship involves many factors--a welcoming physical setting, social atmosphere, and pastors; a message that engages and speaks to you; appropriate music presented well; a sense of invitation that starts with the ease of using worship materials, the style of communion and whether one is welcome to receive it; how you're greeted at the doors; whether there's laughter, parking, children, a variety of ways to study the Bible, how and whether people socialize before and after; a sense that the church and congregation are vibrant, active, alive, spiritually engaged, and on a faith journey together; whether it feels like a community of Christ that reaches out and serves others, and probably a lot more. We found so many of these factors during out initial visits that we made it our church home. We're glad we did. Come and see for yourself and discover a warm congregation and wonderful ministry team.
Good Shepherd feels like home. The population is very diverse and very welcoming.
Outstanding worship services, pastoral staff and musical programs backed up by super Christian education for youth and all ages. Good Shepherd sanctuary is environment is superb--newcomers feel welcome, not awkward and plenty of volunteer community activities! Great way to integrate into a new community.
GSLC is a wonderful church in the Gaithersburg community. Very welcoming with an emphasis on social ministry. Many opportunities to connect with others and grow your faith.
