Just finished up 6 months of treatment with the department on the 2nd floor. The entire staff is knowledgeable and friendly. From my first appointment through today, (6 months), the nurses and Dr. Iacoboni made my bi-monthly visits extremely pleasant. The rooms were always sanitized (thanks to the cleaning staff), the meals were always tasty (thanks to the cafeteria staff) and the nurses were always professional, explaining everything in layman's terms for me. Thank you so much to Susan, Brenda, Theresa, Casey, and Rebecca. You all feel like family!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. good shepherd had me waiting 2 hours in the ER and then another hour in a hospital room waiting for a nurse or the doctor to come and then they just came and touched my back and do physical test to diagnose me with back pain I feel like they didn t care or ask the right questions. This isn t the first time this has happened. when I had issues regarding my gallbladder, I had to come back to the ER 3 times to be properly diagnosed with gallstones. And in a progress note. It said Pt is sitting in waiting room in a wheelchair stable, with no signs of distress, pt informed we will get her a room as soon as possible and reported understanding with a smile I find this, completely wrong, I had been in pain the entire time , and yes, I was showing understanding and kindness but that didn t mean I wasn t in pain. And It s still more than 3 days later since I injured my back at work, and I m in constant pain. I ve done ice, rest, heat, etc. nothing is working and I hate to have to come back for the same issue, just to be treated the exact same.

Calling to make an appointment and with several (10+) attempts I am disconnected when trying to speak with someone. Very unprofessional. This is my lunch hour and the only time I can make appointments. Hire more staff or raise your standards Good Shepherd. Shame on you lazy staff members at the desks. If management is reading this note that it is the staff working 9/20 at 11:50am. Not acceptable.

Drove 30 minutes or of the way to come here. They mentioned they take walk ins. Took 10 minutes to get in. Front desk could be friendlier. I wasn't allowed to go into the back. Even though the signs clearly say one visitor is allowed. With covid you have to wear a mask and they check your temperature at the main entrance. Even signs saying this facility is veteran authorized care by the VA. Came here because the tri cities is a joke.

The labor and delivery team is amazing! The nurse/midwife that delivered my daughter was able to recognize while I was in labor that my daughter most likely had the cord wrapped around her neck. She warned me in advance and made me aware or it. Because she was also a midwife she had many options to make the delivery more safe. When my daughter was born she in fact had the cord around her neck but was perfect because the nurse/midwife used different labor techniques than the doctor I had when my son was born. She may have saved my daughters life and I m truly thankful every single day for the team I had. Not to mention their food is fantastic!

Every time I visit, I get the notion that it s a somewhat disorganized place with lack of professionalism, customer service, and empathy for the people they see. I see this place has some good reviews, so I wonder if there s a difference in the way they treat you based on race, ethnicity or other factors. However, from my experience and what I ve seen and heard, this place could use some better leadership. It would be helpful if the receptionists made sure to let patients know where to go for their appointment as there are many departments, and make sure they understand! It would also be helpful if there was a front desk at the medical plaza that can give directions to the different departments, since not everyone is familiar with the place and walking around can lead to the receptionist saying you missed your appointment and have to wait for two hours now. Lastly, a smile can go a long way when you greet patients. These are just a few things, but maybe this review can lead to this hospital serving the people better. Thank you.

I've been there a few times and was seen by Dr Buck. He's a great Dr and very knowledgeable about things, and seems to care about my overall well being. They're good about social distancing and take temps at the front door. The clinic is clean and everybody is friendly like they should. I would recommend this place to anybody needing to go an urgent care.

My mom went into the emergency room around 10 pm last night (6/20/21) thinking she was experiencing a heart attack. Some of the staff were completely rude & unprofessional around her. Especially the nurse, having no compassion, & acting very odd around her. My mom was confused & shook up by the behavior. She felt like they did more to kick her out than actually help her.
