Extremely beautiful and a definite MUST SEE! It was cool to actually walk on it and see Alcatraz and the City in the distance! The bus stops right in front of the visitors center. The area was nicely kept and everything was free to access. The restaurant was not open so make sure you don't come hunger. Gift shop was cute and really not over priced for a gift shop. Beautiful!!

Iconic bridge that is a must see while visiting San Francisco. There are free areas to park located near the bridge so that you can walk across it and there are trails where you can get a great view.

If not the most, then one of the most iconic and recognizable landmarks of San Francisco. There are lots of view point on both sides of the bridge. Even the driving on the bridge itself is also a thrilling experience.

If you are ever in the Bay Area for site-seeing and if you do not visit this, the your whole tour would go in vain.

Whenever you are there, all that you need to do is aim your phone towards the bridge and you would have an amazing photo.

Every local, visitor, tourist or any bridge loving aficionado must come here when in San Francisco. The visitor center is the very last exit right before the bridge takes you to the Marin side. There's lots to see from historical public displays on facts about the Golden Gate Bridge and how it was built, and also amazing views of the bridge itself, Alcatraz, the bay and the cityscape. From here you can walk across the bridge so you can mark that off your bucket list. The visitor center parking may fill up quickly but there is additional parking down the road at Battery East parking lot, but be sure not to leave valuables in the car.

A must see when visiting San Francisco. Walking on it is a delight. It is very windy so hold on to hats and any loose items. There is a nice walking path which is shared with bicyclist. The views are phenomenal. A city with a beautiful skyline.

World famous bridge, for which we hired bikes & cycled over from SF to Sausalito catching the ferry back. Great to see it close up, taking our time to cross to properly admire it rather than quickly driving over it in a car. If you are (reasonably) fit & the weather is on your side, I would thoroughly recommend biking the bridge!

Great place to be. Easy to find parking spots for up to 2hours at the welcome center.
Trip with family and walking/riding on the pedestrian side of the bridge was so much fun.

Also numerous scenic places to capture your memorial moments against the backdrop of the bridge.
We totally enjoyed ourselves it was worth the experience.

Absolutely beautiful!! I been wanting to see this bridge for many years. It was everything I was expecting and more. The surrounding areas are clean and there is plenty of history to read about all around the bridge. The gift store has plenty of souvenirs at good prices and the little Cafe place at the top has plenty of food to buy. The gate is just mesmerizing and I don't care how many bridges I see,it will always be my favorite!!
