Global Intellectual Property Agency, LLC Review

I purchased an essential LLC Package from The Company Corporation who partnered with and hired Global Intellectual Property Agency, LLC. This package included a trademark name search and complete filing until approved by USPTO. I purchased this service in 2015 and tried to contact the lawyer who filed it (Daniel Boudwin). The lawyer did not respond to any of my emails in regard to trademark status, errors with filings, colors claimed etc. I called The Company Corporation and Global Intellectual Property Agency and they kept saying it was filed and left it at that. It took for my application to become "ABANDONED in full because a response to the Office Action mailed on Mar 4, 2016 was not received within the 6-month response period" as stated on USPTO.gov a whole year later in 2016 for me to get someone's attention. The Company Corporation reached out to the secretary from Global Intellectual Property Agency; and I still up to this day never heard from this lawyer; His secretary responded and apologized and said they had clerical errors. She then insisted on reviving my application and claim the colors because the lawyer forgot to do that. I asked some questions about updating my logo and I was completely ignored. I followed up again after that to check on the status of my application and I was completely ignored. I called the Company Corporation and insisted that I did not want to do business with them anymore and would like a refund; I was not refunded the full amount. Another year passed currently 2017 I recently got an email 09/2017 from the secretary of Global Intellectual Property Agency stating that the examiner wanted additional information a few days before the expiration date of the examiner. The examiner requested this information from my lawyer 6 months ago! (shown on uspto.gov) and stated they were late in letting me know again, because of clerical errors and they were filing for an extension. Although I do not have a contract or agreement with Global Intellectual Property Agency, attached to this email was an invoice from a different lawyer for filings that should not have occurred and was due to their negligence and not taking interest in me and my needs as a customer/client. Not to mention- when I checked the application status recently the colors that I claimed, the colors that they forgot to put in my original application is still wrong. I Claimed green and grey they put black and grey. Global Intellectual Property Agency has been completely unprofessional, careless, and created a stressful experience for me as a new business owner. I am sure this lawyer, law firm/ agency's behavior is against the code of ethics.

This was a lifesaving experience as every other design patent would cost me thousands of dollars. Daniel Boudwin help and expert advise saved me time and effort in this matter.

I used them to get a nonprovisional patent. I paid them via a credit card per their instructions. Then went on about getting my product to market. Next thing I know, there is no patent. Their excuse was the credit card didn't go through. I know there was money available, but more importantly why they didn't tell me. Just leave me thinking it was good. They told me I can reapply again, here a year later. Well, if I do, it wont be through you again, that's a promise.

Smooth Process! Dan and his team helped me file a Provisional Patent and a Utility Patent.
I found the latter to be much less painful than expected!
The whole staff was knowledgeable, patient and friendly.
When it was found I had over paid for a service, I was called and credited the amount toward the final cost! WOW, a rare value these days.... honesty!

I had a new idea that I needed to get a patent on. I looked around the internet and found Global Intellectual property Agency, LLC. and I am glad I found them ! I have been through the patent process before and I must say my experience with Global was second to none ! The girl's in the office are awesome always responding to my request no matter how strange the question. Hat's off to Taylor, Holly and the gang for a job well done. I look forward to doing more project's with this firm and I would highly recommend anyone looking for a great Patent firm to use Global ! I just can't understand why I am the only one who has left a 5 star review.

One is naturally concerned anytime they need to work with a lawyer, but Daniel B. Boudwin and his team eliminated all my concerns. They went above and beyond to help me understand the US Patent process and to work through all of my claims and diagrams. They were very upfront with the fee structure and verified that I understood which fees were government fees and which were patent attorney fees and reminded me of critical due dates. Taylor Slade, Christopher Camp, and Lauren Parker were all very clear and professional. I would not only work with them again, I am working with them on my second patent.
