Global Frontier Missions: Mobilizing Disciples and Churches Among Unreached People Groups
Global Frontier Missions (GFM) is a Christian missions organization that has been dedicated to mobilizing, training, and multiplying disciples and churches among unreached people groups for over 20 years. With a focus on reaching the least reached people groups in the world, GFM offers short-term mission trips, summer missionary internships, and missionary training schools in Houston, Atlanta, and Sydney.
GFM's mission is to see disciples of Jesus Christ made among all nations. They believe that every person deserves to hear the gospel message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. However, there are still many people groups around the world who have never heard this message or had access to it. These are known as unreached people groups.
Unreached people groups are defined as those who have less than 2% evangelical Christians within their population. This means that they have little or no access to Christian resources such as Bibles or churches. GFM believes that these people deserve to hear about God's love for them just like anyone else.
To reach these unreached people groups, GFM focuses on three main areas: mobilization, training, and multiplication.
Mobilization involves getting Christians involved in missions work by providing opportunities for short-term mission trips. These trips allow individuals to experience cross-cultural ministry firsthand while also helping them discern if long-term missions work is something they feel called to pursue.
Training involves equipping missionaries with the skills they need to effectively share the gospel with unreached peoples. GFM offers a variety of training programs including summer internships and missionary training schools where participants learn about cross-cultural communication skills, evangelism strategies specific to different cultures and religions as well as how best approach church planting efforts among different communities around the world.
Multiplication involves planting churches among unreached peoples so that new believers can grow in their faith together with other believers from their own culture or language group rather than being assimilated into an existing church community which may not be culturally relevant for them.
GFM has been successful at reaching out into some of the most difficult places on earth where traditional missionaries cannot go due political instability or religious persecution such as North Africa & Middle East region where Christianity is often illegal but there are still many seekers looking for answers about God’s love & forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
One unique aspect of GFM's approach is its emphasis on building relationships with local communities rather than simply preaching at them from afar without understanding their cultural context first hand which can lead misunderstandings between cultures leading towards conflicts instead of peace-building efforts between different ethnicities living together peacefully side-by-side within same community.
Another unique aspect of GFM's approach is its commitment towards sustainability by empowering local leaders within each community so that they can continue spreading Gospel message even after foreign missionaries leave area once initial church plant has been established successfully.
In conclusion,Globa Frontier Missions (GFM) provides an excellent opportunity for Christians who want make difference by sharing Gospel message with those who haven't heard it yet while also learning more about themselves along way during this journey towards becoming better disciple-makers themselves!
