A beautiful facility..fantastic caring professional employees and friendly environment.

My husband and I moved to Givens Estates @ 3 years ago. As former health care analysts/regulators, we knew that we wanted to retire in a life-care community, and we knew that we wanted one that was CARF accredited, non-profit, and preferably faith based. We also knew that as Floridians for 50 years, we wanted to relocate to the southern moutains. Givens met all our criteria and has surpassed our expectations. Particularly during this pandemic, we have experienced exceptional operational leadership, successfully insulating our campus from the virus and meeting our needs in various ways to minimize off campus exposure. The beauty of the campus with over 5 miles of hillside trails and bountiful seasonal native plantings makes our daily walks and hikes a delight. Personal fitness is a priority value and we are pleased with current renovation plans to expand and enhance the wellness/fitness center. And most importantly, the sense of "community" was felt from day 1 thru interactions with other residents and staff, and continues to be the foundation of healthy, contented, and fulfilling life here at Givens!

Today I made a Doordash delivery to the medical office of this establishment. I handed the food directly to the person. She complained that she ordered 40 minutes ago and the order was late. I tried to explain I only got the order on my phone 10 minutes ago and from my perspective she got her food in 10 minutes. Later my Doordash account was deactivated because she told Doordash that she never received her food. The one person I dealt with at this establishment was a liar, and incredibly rude. Why trust yourself or your elderly loved one with an establishment that employs rude liars?

Our experience with Givens Health Center was disappointing; well below what the better rating had us anticipating. The facility and amenities were nice enough and the floor level care was mostly adequate for the basics. However, our mother (unable to talk) needed an individualized Care Plan, like is promised in their brochures and policies. But we were, in totality, denied any influence into the Care Plan, and denied requested Care Plan meetings to collaborate on better approach options to improve Mom s quality of life. ZERO of our very reasonable adaptations or additions requested (or any alternative that they might have presented) was ever adopted. Once the pandemic related restrictions went into effect, and we could not personally support the care she needed, her wellbeing and alertness fell quickly. We saw disturbing reports (from requested medical records), lost all confidence that our mom s needs were being meet, and decided to bring mom home rather quickly when we were notified she was deteriorating (in bad shape and severely dehydrated). IN the end, we determined that those who had the ability to make different/better choices to support mom s quality of life, for some dishonorable reason (maybe too arrogant or too controlling) would not honor the collaboration promise. Buyer Beware!

Great place to live and feel safe and cared for - many fun amenities during normal times (no pandemic) - staff is exceptional. Speed bumps scrape the bottom of my car - serious damage if over 2mph. Overkill.

A great retirement community. We have visited relatives there multiple times. Very friendly staff, a beautiful location, very good food and amenities. We really enjoy the walking trails and the scenery.

Wow! All I can say! Absolutely spectacular! Very happy to say I work there as a caregiver! Food is amazing, and the property is stunning!
