I spent 12 years as a scout involved with this council and I m now going on 2 years as an adult Girl Scout. They have really influenced and shaped my life. This past June I earned my gold award at the drive in and everyone was absolutely incredible. I always feel loved and appreciated. Girl Scouts has shaped my life in so many more ways then I would ever expect and I can t wait till the day I can start my own troop after I graduate out of college.
Unbelievable. There was a rock climbing event indoors recently, at a really nice local facility in Worcester.
However, the younger girls are all not allowed to climb the normal walls at all! They need to do silly games and activities instead. Next to them, other kids not with the group boys and girls some 4 years old are climbing no problem. It turns out, it is the Girl scout rules and headquarters that's telling them and the business that they are not allowed to climb because they are not old enough to participate.
So you're telling me some four year old boy can climb but because I'm with the girl scouts it's not allowed? How do you think that makes the scouts feel? What a completely backwards and anti-empowering rule! Absurd. This should change immediately.
