The people here are so kind and friendly, and the Korean classes were so helpful! There's a sizable library too, so the membership is worth it if you want to check out books and have a quiet place to read and study.

This is a foreigner friendly place to work with foreigners. The environment is English friendly. They are helping new comers to survive in Korea. They organises different socio-cultural events, provides translation services (not free) and others.

Best place for new comers to Gwangju to start with. Provides a lot of information. Also, arrange Korean Language classes, weekly talks, other activities like art, music, yoga and many many more. Supports and organises foreign cultural events. Tours across Gwangju. Hiking, Cultural Sites seeing and many more. GIC also has a library.
One can also get membership of GIC.
Overall the GIC is great but it needs extra help with some areas. IT IS Volunteer based organization so if you consider that and what it provides to the community.

For any expat living in Korea, precisely Gwangju, GIC has to offer everything one might need. A place to be engaged with various programs in different platforms with awesome people if "City of Life". The souvenir collection is best so far I've found in Gwangju. This is a place you must pay a visit if you step in Gwangju.
