Very pleasant setting, yet disappointing meal and service. What we assumed would be a freshly prepared veal schnitzel turned out to be a processed food item. The meat was overcooked, dry and chewy, with an unpleasant texture. Spaetzle, green beans and schnitzel were lukewarm. Service was slow and inattentive despite how quiet the restaurant was. I've always enjoyed this restaurant with my parents and friends when visiting Saskatoon, but this was very disappointing.

Worst-case table service ever. Slow. No offers of refills on water, coffee or beer. My table mate actually got up and got water pitcher from bar and served the room. Food was cold. Dessert took 25 mins from ordering to arrival. We ordered 1 desert, 2 forks, NO extra plate. Got 1 desert, 2 plates, and no forks. Can't be bothered again.
Lunch actually took almost 3hrs and NOTHING was good, or hot
Any comments or requests were seemingly ignored.

Worst service I have experienced. Went for Sunday Brunch, the sign said please seat yourself, sat at a table (the only open table) and it still needed to be cleaned. Sat for over 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging me. Would not reccommend dining here, very poor service.

Came for Mothers Day Brunch this year, was 1 of the 1st customers to book and was pretty disappointed. I was SO looking forward to coming here...I could LIVE on schnitzel...my Father even came from Edmonton to join us. The positive was the pricing...no complaints there at all!! The selection was vast, I even missed some of it because of where the tables were positioned. The most disappointing was the Schnitzel...I took 2 pieces (I could eat 4 pieces of schnitzel at home ;-) ) to start with, couldn't find any lemon. I then found the Eggs Benedict station...cha-ching!!! 2 of my absolute FAVORITE items to gorge on. The chef soft poached my eggs in front of me...drool...he placed them on FRESH english muffins and a lady lightly drizzled the hollandaise sauce. I asked her to pour it on and she obliged:-) Went back to the table and gingerly sliced into my Benedict...but couldn't keep the English muffin on my fork...it was soggy already from the egg & sauce...they weren't toasted :-( Yuck. Pushed those aside and sliced into my schnitzel. Took a bite and immediately looked for a napkin to spit it out...horrible taste. Not sure why, not even sure what type of meat they used as it didn't taste like pork or veal. I ended up eating the very cheesy crepe, yum, and a piece of pie. That was it. Very disappointing :-( Sorry, but I'll have to stick to the Willows or Prairie Lily from now on for Mothers Day Brunches.

Lovely
