This salon is great. Erika Starr always takes such great care of my hair.

Tiffany was great! Very professional, clean atmosphere and friendly salon. I was very pleased with my first experience!

First, I've never been there, but when I call to be a part of their team as a Hairstylist. The receptionist kept relaying messages to the owner that was there about who I was, that happen a few times during our conversations. So finally I spoke with the owner and she sounded like she didn't have a smile on her face, she was very short in her words. Maybe a bit condescending or arrogant. Anyway she stated that I go online to file out an application and her manager will take a look at it because she doesn't do that kind of thing. I truly believe in customer service and I have spoke with a few solan owners that was very cordial and pleasant. I don't get this from the owner of Genesis Hair Art. In the end I didn't apply.

My stylist was very professional she did my hair is exactly like I wanted it and she did not waste her time talking to other people she made me feel special thank you Bria you're my new hair stylist

The best Salon in Atlant. They ar professional and very nice people. I love the antospher not stuck up. The products they use Paul Mitchell is so good

Everyone here is customer focused and the stylist are talented. I was looking for someone to style my short cut and found Mercede . I always leave her chair loving my hair . Sonny also does a wonderful job with my brows. Great salon!

Bad business ... why would I pay $100 to walk out looking the same ? If you couldn t achieve my goals for $100 I should have known ahead of time. I wanted burgundy hair as the picture I shown but I did not get it. Erika Starr/ @erikastarrhair the girl who colored my hair blocked me on instagram for no reason. Sherita Cherry (the owner of the shop) was rude and unprofessional. I definitely have the money and Toni And Guy is fixing my hair color tomorrow.

Erika is an excellent stylist. She is very personable & listened to my request/concerns & my wash & style came out flawless! She is def interested in getting your hair healthy AND beautiful. The prices are appropriate- the salon is nice. I d go back.

I can t speak on the employees of this place, but the owner SHERITA CHERRY is a fast-talker and very manipulative! If you re getting your hair done there go to anyone other than her...She s not right!

I have never had any problems with the salon or my stylist Theron. They have always been professional and kind. I have been getting my hair washed and pressed by Theron for over 8 years and have followed her wherever. But it was sad and unfortunate for me to learn the dramatic spike in the cost of services. Im natural and only get my hair pressed. A silk press does not last long (due to the ever changing weather in GA) and I usually only get my hair pressed once a month if that. The price went from $65 to now with me having longer past bra length hair $105-120(per website prices). The almost doubling of prices is the only reason I'm giving 4 stars and now having to find someone as good as Theron to take care of my hair.

I do wish this business all the success as they do provide a Buckhead atmosphere and experience south of the city.

Love the salon upscale you must come visit. You will never visit another salon again. Sherita is the best.

Never going back. Wasted $100 and it don't even look like my hair got done . Biggest mistake . I didn't even enjoy my 21st birthday because my hair looked a mess . Worse silk press ever . I thought it would be luminous and silky . Total opposite . I cried .

I worked as a Repectionist there, I left in July it is now September and I still haven't gotten paid. I have been waiting 3 months to get paid. Which is highly ridiculous and unprofessional . I tried calling and texting and still no response. The owner never knows my hours . I literally had to write my own time sheet to get paid in the past .. I can't deal. I worked for the money ,I didn't beg. Please send my check it's sad that it had to come to this SMH

Someone recommended me this place to get my lashes done here. When I looked at Google Maps I realized that I was here before, like a year ago. I wanted a balayage and it turned out what you will see in the photos. My hair was yellow and stained, they didn't even use foils. The only solution they gave me was to return to my natural color, to which I replied no. After paying $ 450 dollars and having my hair done yellow I no longer wanted to be touched by them anymore. Before they say that my name does not appear in their records, my name is not the one that appears here. The photo where I have dark hair is BEFORE going to this salon.

The wait to get hair styled can use some improvement. Needs to be more attentive to clients

I ve been knowing Erika for several years. She has always given me good advice and treatment for my scalp. Very knowledgeable & can straighten hair down to the scalp! Lol

Erika Star is the best. She is very quick and thorough. She s has been doing my hair for years and taking great care of it. Genisis Hair Salon has nothing but good vibes and professional hair stylist. Great place to get your hair done.

I got my hair dyed red Saturday, and Sunday night I sweated from cleaning my house. I look in the mirror I had red dye all over my neck, shoulders and dress straps. Started calling Monday morning and no one has answered the phone yet and it's Wednesday. Do not get a color job from them.

I went to this salon on April 27th for a wash and press. I was a walk-in and they were able to see me which I greatly appreciated because my sister was getting married that day and I wanted my hair to be fresh. My regular stylist was out of town. When I arrived, it was indeed a very nice and clean salon. Then I was greeted by the receptionist and again was delighted. We started to converse and I shared with her that I am natural and if anyone knows how to press natural hair and she immediately stated yes. She then explained how all of the stylist are certified to do natural hair. I was very skeptical and I shared with her I've had a bad experience in the past with going to a Dominican Stylist and I had heat damage and my hair would not curl after that. She assured me and stated she has the perfect person for me. I OK'd it and waited for the stylist to arrive. In walks Tiffany, as professional as they come. I expressed to her again about my hair being natural and when you wet it, it will curl up and I want to keep it that way. She assured me that it would. Well she indeed pressed my hair with a flat iron and it did look beautiful. But I explained the real test is going to be when I wash my hair, will it curl back up and unfortunately tonight when I washed it...it did not in a lot of places. I am truly heart broken. I will have to make an appointment with my regular stylist to cut all the damaged hair off.

This salon was indeed professional, clean and has all the wonderful things a person who is NOT natural will definitely enjoy. However if you are part of the #teamnatural movement...this is NOT the place to go. Always follow your first mind.

Theron is my Stylish... I've never been disappointed. She is always Prompt. Never have to wait. She does your hair as you ask and in a timely manner. I am so glad that she was recommended to me. Theron has made my hair Healthy and Beautiful. I Always receive Compliments on my Mane

The girl that does eyebrows and lashes Keanna was an hour and a half late for my appointment then she gets there and she does my brows they were okay but it didn t even last until the next day and I did nothing to my face and my lashes I ended up not getting she was putting the lashes on my eyelid and told me she was putting them on right and I had to pay for the lashes that she used and messed up shop has definitely went down since Sunny left

This was my first time at Genesis and I enjoyed my experience. My stylist was Jordan and he slayed my hair ! The shop was beautiful and everyone there had great personalities and great service. I ll be back and would recommend anyone to try them out. Thank you Jordan !!

My experience at the salon was nothing short of amazing! it was a GOOD time with awesome service! I have short hair, and my stylist, Sherita Cherry, knew exactly what I needed and how my hair should be styled. I am definitely a loyal customer.

Erika is the bomb! I'm just over a year with my locs and I went to several locticians, but she is hands down the best with styling, care and not to mention color. The salon is an oasis for the community and the stylist will help you to get your life. It's more than a salon, it's a community.
