Great beer, delicious food, friendly and knowledgeable staff, good atmosphere

We waited for an hour for a table, people kept cutting in line in front of us. Finally someone said we could just sit down and order and pick up our food. By that time there were no tables. Horrible communication

Food was good, beer is mediocre. I was sitting at the bar having a pint and some food. After finishing my food, I needed to use the restroom so I put a coaster over my beer, the international sign for "I'm not done with this one, yet". After coming back from the restroom, my beer was gone and they said it was because they thought I bailed without paying; mind you I had an open tab, so it's not like I am the type of person to pull a fast one. The bartender then poured me a half pint, or to the point where he thought they dumped my beer. After being made to feel like I was the person who wronged them and apologized, they scoffed at the apology and made me feel unwelcomed after a clear misunderstanding on their part.

Super great rotating taps and artisan menu from the kitchen. Outdoor seating is a great option in the summer

The food is excellent here. The service can be a little slow when they get busy but it's never been terrible. The beer is great if you love IPAs, many of the beers that aren't even listed as IPAs have that extra hoppy-ness to them too.

The cheesesteak and beer that I ordered was good. Service wasn't spectacular though and took awhile to get our order. Several other people that arrived and ordered later than us got their food 15-30 minutes before we did. Other times I have visited weren't as bad so hopefully it was an isolated incident.

This place is amazing. Every beer I've had has been good and the theme/decor is spot on. Apparently they're looking to also be open on Sundays and serve brunch. Count me in!

The food was good. My dog was allowed at the outside seating. Unfortunately the service was really realky slow to the point my dog got over heated and even though i asked server for my check 20 minutes later i had to inside and pay. And there were very few customers. Doubt i would go back.

Great place for some pub fare and brews. Bar service and amazing, friendly staff make for a very enjoyable time!

Place is great. Food is good, awesome atmosphere. Not sure about the beer being weak or whatever seemed good to me. All beer is fine honestly.

Very disappointed in the food. Ordered the fish tacos... Underwhelmed on two levels. They serve 2 tacos on the flat, not even a folded taco. Had one small piece of fish, scant amount of veggies. Dissapeared when folded... Kid size! Barely qualified as an appetizer. A memorable fish taco should overflow and be a multiple napkin event.. Note to the owners, get your inspiration from a great dive bar, scout your competition if napkins were stars... I'd give this a 1 napkin experience.

Solid brewery with a great Sunday Brunch. Atmosphere is unique and the beer is tasty.

Overall not a bad place, they have a lot going for them. Food options were good but slightly overpriced. The atmosphere was a little boring and at times my friends and I felt out of place.

Wow. What a great find! The menu is great with incredible variety and seasonal foods, herbs and drinks you don't find anywhere else. My compliments to the chef and master brewer!

Staff is always friendly and helpful in recommending beers. Their beers are great, with a changing variety of things from golden ales to milk stouts to DIPAs to the occasional barrel aged beer. Food might be a bit on the pricier side, but you get the quality you pay for. I've never had a bad meal from them.

Also, their Sunday Brunch is fantastic. My personal favorite is the omelette with bacon, spinach and goat cheese with a side of smoked salmon hash

My husband, Clay, and I LOVE to visit GearHouse Brewing Company in Chambersbur, PA! Today, my husband enjoyed the "Angelic Red" craft beer and I the "Mountains Rose" wine! Our entrees were delicious too! We drive an hour to visit, one-way, and to get a growler at the awesome sale price! The historic warehouse environment is amazing and we enjoy the outdoor seating area on great days like today. Mandi is a wonderful staff member!

Warm and friendly atmosphere with great beer, homemade tasting food, and endless possibilities. I love this place and you will too, especially if you appreciate bicycles and what David's imagination can do with his own beer recipes.

the jerk rub on the wings were absolutely amazing chef David out did himself. they paired really well with the demonic red.

This place is a 5-star even though the food variety is lacking. Definitely a solid brewery regardless! Nice large wrap around bar area

My daughter and her boyfriend have been trying to get me to go with them to GearHouse for awhile now. Great atmosphere, great customer service, and some damn good beer! Definitely will be back!

You can't visit Chambersburg without a visit to GearHouse! They hit a home run with their food, beer and Pennsylvania spirits bar. Menu has expanded since my last visit. Their beer and food menu has a palate pleaser for everyone, even gluten free beverage drinkers. So glad I have family in the area. Gives me an excuse to visit GearHouse monthly!

The building and atmosphere is pretty cool, friendly staff, decent beer selection, but the food seems over priced for what you get. For a $12 burger you should get a little more than a cheap grocery store bun and shredded iceberg lettuce on top

Food offerings were good, creative. The beers were very interesting. They offer 32oz cans of all of their beers, so that's cool. They don't have regular growlers, but they'll fill them up.

Overall fun place. The interior is very industrial, and neat.

First time here and I love the place. The staff was excellent Aryn the bartender explain the menu and the beers. We were looking for something to eat and decided to split something. One of the cooks was delivering food to the bar and heard us exploring the menu and offered us a few suggestions and we decided to split a sandwich. Not only did the food come up fast, they really split it for up on two separate plates with a side of fries on each plate. Not just an order and here is an extra plate. Beers were excellent. This is a must try.

We were visiting the area on a casual motorcycle ride on May 10th. The beer and root beer were great, however the food was not. How do you screw up a BLT? I mean come on its a BLT, my kids made a good BTL when they were 10. The Turkey Panini was Turkey lunch meat! Come on man you can do better. I'll give them props for being a local business and having a cool decor. I suppose with all the buzz of brew pups these days they thought no body would notice the lousy food. Did I mention it took 50 minutes to get the lousy food? I was told they lost our number. REALLY?

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The beers are ever evolving and delicious. Wings are on point and munchies hit the spot with taste and style. Stay tuned, these folks are going places!

Having been to Gearhouse several times I am never disappointed! The brews are a beer lovers wet dream. While there you have to get the Char & Cheese tray DELICIOUS!!! You must eat the Pork Belly Bahn Mi like freakin NOW!!!

One of our favorite places around to hang out, enjoy a drink, spend time with friends and family, and eat! Love coming here for brunch especially! A changing table in the ladies room would be highly appreciated for when we bring our daughter to family brunch!

Good food, pretty good beer and a nice atmosphere. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating opportunities too.

The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. You don t feel rushed at all. The beer is Excellent! I have visited many breweries and pubs along the east coast, and the amber ale is flavorful and full with a crisp finish. Fully enjoyed the experience.

Amazing atmosphere with a industrial feel. Amazing people and setup. Ordered the Reuben and it was fantastic, the hop salted chips were tasty. There was live music playing while we ate.

Found this place while visiting C-burg on a biz trip from Baltimore. Total fun! Besides the dozen or so delicious beers on tap, I had fish tacos that were out-of-this-world, AND because of the canning machine that sits directly in front of my barstool, I was able to take 4 quarts of fresh beer home to my friends! Love the warehouse vibe here, good music, very friendly and talented staff!

Probably the best brewery in south central PA. Every beer seems to be made with much TLC, and the atmosphere speaks to their love of beer and the brewery scene. A must visit. From the great beer to the simple (& amazing) food menu, to the full size shuffle board table and fun games, you re sure to enjoy.

Make sure to try the Hefeweizen!

We went for Wednesday night trivia. The food was terrific. The beer was delicious. And the service was great.

Unbelievably awesome food AND beer! I couldn't believe the Google rating was 4.6 for here! We ordered a flight of beer (2, 3, 5, 6, 8, & 10) which we really enjoyed. My favorite was Sly Fox Helles Gold (#2). Hubby's was Ginary (#6). Not sure why people are commenting that the beer tastes "watered down" & "bland" because it is some of the best beer I've ever had (and we visit BREWERIES & TASTINGS ALL THE TIME ). They all had a crisp, clean mouth feel without any nasty, lingering aftertastes. It was great to be able to watch the beer being made through the viewing windows as we ate & drank. The atmosphere is super cool & laid back vibey. They have tons of stuff for kids to do which is fantastic and uber smart (they even have Galaga!). For food, we enjoyed the porkbelly steamed buns (lost my mind a bit groaning in delight over these!), York city soft pretzels (I love me some good soft pretzels! These were right up there with the best!), classic double for the kiddo (tasted it! Best burger I've had in a long time!), Luxe de Boeuf for the hubby (I tasted it, of course, & it was AMAZEBALLS), & the Hot Chicken (yum yum yum & MORE YUM ). In conclusion, if you enjoy super tasty beer, amazing food, & a laid back, comfy atmosphere, TRY IT OUT!

Awesome place. Really like the aesthetic and design. 2 people behind the bar were ridiculously friendly and open regarding questions. Chairs outside were chic and comfortable. Had the Dunkel and Nathan's stout. Both of which were absolutely excellent

Great atmosphere and food! The hot chicken and biscuits was delicious! I've been looking for something closest to flavor and spice Nashville original hot chicken, and this is the best I've had!

I am not typically for low reviews unless something happens with service that makes me shake my head. I would love to do a positive review for the beer and food but that didn t happen. My husband and I showed up at 1:10. We walked in and waited a few minutes for the hostess. She walked out and said can I help you. I responded with 2 . She told me they already quit seating for the day. I said we traveled out of our way to try this . She said next time call ahead . The site and google says they are open until 2. Weird time for a brewery but whatever. We live 2 1/2 hours away and planned our trip around stopping. I just looked at the site and it says they serve food till 1:30. Note, if you quit seating at 1 then perhaps you should make that your closing time on line so patrons do not show up 50 mins before it says you close!

The food is really good here. The beer could be better though. My whole party felt the beer was a bit weak and watery lacking body and flavor. We tried quite a few different beers and settled on one good one. However, the food was fresh and delicious. We were there for the beer so I will have to stick to 3 stars but would give a much better rating for the food quality and taste.

Was so excited to check this place out. Love the vibe and wonderful job they did with the decor!!! Fabulous. But so so disappointed in the fish taco entree and recieve only 2 instead of the customary 3! I ordered dinner and am seriously hungry! The entree wasn t even appetizer size! I am 5 2 and 123 lbs. I fill up pretty quickly! Would love to see the quality and quantity of the food match the vibe!

Glad to see another brewery in Chambersburg. If your looking for good food and a brew this is your place. I had the pork tacos and a Dark Hollow brew. There is plenty of seating and if you have a larger group there is a back section away from the main area. Staff is very attentive. Come hungry and thirty and leave happy!
