Having seizure like symptoms. Dr. Ray and the nurses and staff were really nice but the hospital was a little worn down and looked slightly dirty. Dr. Ray recommended I see a neurologist and get an eeg done. Took a few hours to get in and out.

Literally the worst hospital I've ever been to. When I was put in the psychward, they refused to give me enough insulin, and I went into DKA. When I got phone time, I called my gp, she called them and told them to get me into the emergency ward and put me on fluids, obviously including insulin. Instead they just discharged me, I can only assume to avoid having to admit that they literally refused a type one diabetic insulin repeatedly. I had to BEG for insulin in a hospital, and I was denied. Repeatedly. I went into DKA and no one did a thing about it. If I wasn't traumatized and crazy before I went into the psychward, I sure am now, now I know I can be allowed to die in a hospital. Oh and the staff is so rude that they will literally hang up on you in the middle of a phone call, I'm just so lucky that I get to keep receiving "treatment" at this facility, and they are so uninformed, registration staff literally don't know the doctors who work in the hospital or where certain wings of the hospital are located. No one here wants to help you. They literally could have killed me. I have new eye, kidney, and nerve damage thanks to my little vacation here. They also refused me the amoxicillin I had been taking for a throat infection, and refused me my birth control, I was told because it's a Catholic hospital, I take the birth control for PCOS and violent periods, I'm abstinent. Oh and while I was in the psychward, the woman with the limp wouldn't stop yelling at me that I was causing my own bloodsugar to rise by being upset, believe you me, I was sure not to raise my voice, I was told upon entry that they could hold me there as long as they want for anything they consider aggressive or unusual behavior, and she kept saying "blood pressure" instead of "blood sugar," and I kept trying to tell her that it's rising because my body literally does not produce insulin, and she just kept yelling. It was on ME while my brain was toxifying to hold my composure, but not the staff. They can treat you just as bad as they think you deserve. Oh and also I saw the same limping woman take food out of an anorexic girl's hands, another nurse say, "Don't; she's underweight," two times, and then shrug and go back into the nurse's station when the woman wouldn't relent. They also have a strange habit of losing peoples clothes, and refusing to give you clothes brought to you by family. They don't clean the shower in between uses, so when you go in, there's about 20 other people's pubes stuck to the "tub." So, no, I would not recommend this facility. Also I saw a rat in the lobby once.
Before I could even step in the ER a guy approached me while walking in the door and just yelled out that we are over an hour long just to let you know. He had an attitude for no apparent reason but I had to check him quickly and that's when everyone in the ER said he got am attitude with everyone in there. His name was John. He was very disrespectful. I'll just go over to the Missouri side from now on
My cousin was in ICU. Life support was removed, and I sat by her bed, watching her slip away. The nurses, Jessica and Jenna, were exceptional, showing care and concern for her, and compassion to me. The Critical Care caregiver, Lou, was patient and thorough as he explained what would happen. After she passed away, they had a young lady walk me out through an employee entrance so I didn't have to walk wall the way around the building to my car since it was after 9 and the main entrance was closed. I cannot say enough about the excellent care and compassion provided.
I just found out today a surgery I had here back in 2015 wasn t what I was told it was ! The doctor lied to me and told me he took my essure coils out but he just took my tubes leaving the coils still in my uterus! It s no wonder I ve had seizures I ve been in pain and just had surgery with impending hysterectomy now due plus gallbladder issues to top it all off! This hospital is garbage! Stay away !
Had to stay overnight when I got to the room the bathroom wall was caving in and the nurse call Button did not work the staff was great they would get four Stars but the hospital itself needs a serious renovation
I was seen in the mental health department but this particular incident happened in the mental health er. I have several mental health problems but had also hurt my ankles and feet. I was ignored by drs, and nursing, security guards. I was being neglected. When I demanded that I needed attention from stepping outside of my room and asking for the xray that my ankles and feet needed and to speak with my nurse again the security guards refused to radio my nurse. THEY said that I grabbed on of them which I definitely did not do.... about 7 or 8 (security guards)picked me up and threw me into my room with me hitting the wall my elbows and lump on my head are proof of that along with the multiplebruises on my arms. I almost fainted and went limp they proceeded to grab me again and lift me into my bed first face down... then they flipped me and acted like I was resistant but in reality I was completely limp. They shackled me to the bed and forced me to get a shot in my leg while I was screaming in terror the entire time. I was then admitted to the hospital shortly after where care was good and bad.... I went 2 days without combing my long hair because they don't provide supplies or say they are out of them. My dr. Was good... and so was one of my nurses named ben but thats about it.... the staff for the most part is horrible. Don't go here for mental health problems. They will abuse you
Absolutely terrible. Takes 45 minutes to get someone on the phone, every time. And it s like what I tell my dr goes in one ear and out the other. He s cut my medications that I absolutely need and replaced them with things that do nothing for me. I m absolutely sick of it. I m switching to chestnut because this place is absolutely terrible. I m so tired of not being listened too. And not to mention you CLEARLY DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR PATIENTS BECAUSE YOUVE BEEN HAVING THESE ISSUES FOR 7+ MONTHS
A person died under their care and supervision because no one responded to the help button, nor the person's guardian literally running to the nurses desk to get help. 1 star is far too generous.
