My advice to anyone thinking of applying to this place run for your life. This company doesn't care if you have a personnel life because once employed you can kiss that goodbye. I had a family emergency and had to leave work early and you think they'd understand nope they wrote me up instead. As a former security guard I'm now with a private company and happy and the best part about my new job was the $14.50 an hr. My supervisor says after six months will get an increase in pay. Thank you Jesus for setting me free.

My mom works for this company and they continuously harass her on a daily basis and HR does nothing about it because the managers all stick together. Horrible company to work for.

They are a great company with levels of advancement. First if they offer you a shift take it if you can but never refuse a shift. They look for people that s on time. They tolerate no nonsense

i have been in security for 10. years. do not work for them they put you in the most unsecure jobs there are no managers to call the worst security company to ever work for

Gateway Security One provides security for the Liberty State Park parking lot for the light rail station. I unfortunately made a mistake by rushing to work this morning and I accidentally left my lights on as it was raining. When I finished work, upon finding out that I accidentally left the lights on, I kindly asked the security guard for a jump. Security guard informs me: its against company policy to give you a jump.

The parking lot is practically empty and this heartless, mindless, drone of a security guard goes around in circles and circles watching me type a negative review about the stupid company that he works for; instead of just spending a few minutes and giving my car a quick jump.

Being a former security guard, I know that a guard s duty is to protect life & property so what happened if there was an emergency involving family and I was needed to be somewhere and because the security guard in an automobile doesn t give my car a jump I can t be where I am needed to be? That is not protecting life. What happens if I have diabetes and I need insulin but don t have it? Have to go home and can t get home? I would die, because of Gateway One s STUPID POLICY of not providing a jump to someone who needed it.

Your company is terrible, your employees are terrible, your business model is terrible. I would give this company ZERO STARS if possible. And I will put the word out that this company could seriously hurt someone, because no one knows how to be a decent human being.

The guards are so unprofessional and rude. You should send them to training on how to talk to people. It's sad there's people that wants jobs with professional skills. I experienced this at 920 Franklin St. Newark NJ 07104 and it's need to be fixed...
