The company lost $250,000 in a term deposit. Staff were incompetent, long delays to get transferred to a manager and then just dumped onto another person and I had to repeat myself over 10 times on some things. Amazing!!!

Eventually quite satisfied. On the one hand we had an excellent customer service officer attend to our home loan matters with patience, accuracy and customer satisfaction. However on the other hand, the internal departments did not seem to be properly coordinated and not very organized. We had to chase them up and follow up certain time-based issues that they were supposed to be organizing for us.

I have been with Gateway (and previous names) for over 25 years. I've had three home loans, 2 car loans a few personal loans and several different investment accounts.
Their service and staff have always been fantastic. They make traditional Banks look foolish!

3 Months ago, i opened an account and all my documents have been verified and about 2 weeks after i received a letter from gateway bank advising that they have closed my account without any explanation, I called and was put on hold for half an hour. Anyway, i think i was lucky not to deposit money into my new account otherwise it would be a hassle to withdraw once the account has been closed.

They are condescending, arrogant and judgemental on your decisions if you decide to go for another bank's loan rates instead of theirs. Their rates are not competitive, highly unprofessional and I strongly do not recommend them as it reflects on their overall culture and service.

Our communication, via emails, were efficient and he would get in touch with us via phone if there were any additional actions that needed to be clarified. Happy with the service we were provided and would recommend to family and friends.
