Absolute rip off!!

Decided to visit when on the hop on hop off bus tour round the city. Come on in they said, its free and you get a free coffee too! So off we went on this little tour to see how diamonds are made. Then shown to a room where they told us a little bit about their diamonds and values etc. Also little trays of jewellery were passed around to try. My friend fell in love with a little band and black diamond heart on it. It was priced at 312, and despite asking for discount as she was buying it direct from the factory, she was told this was the best price. A couple of days later when departing from schipol, we went into the gassan shop and saw the same 4int for 221 euros! We asked a staff member who told us that even out in the city it would cost a max of 275, and we found it on line for 155!! How can there be such a huge disparity in prices??! My friend was well and truly ripped off

If you go abroad, it s good to see how beautiful it is.

Short but very enjoyable free tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, we were able to see the diamond cutters and jewelers in action. Plus we got to touch examples of loads of eye wateringly expensive jewels! You do need to book a place by email first though.

Remarkable in every way. The team at Gassan Diamonds is incredibly professional, engaging and welcoming. The process of creating the perfect diamond is fascinating, and you learn a tremendous amount on the tour. I love that the Gassan has been family-owned since the inception, with 5 generations having an integral part of this storied business. The gift shop has the most intriguing and unique pieces, particularly the Gassan 121 Diamond (a proprietary cut with 121 facets) and the Choices by DL rings. Treat yourself!

Had a super nice tour at Gassan Diamonds in Amsterdam, very cool to see how that process works.

Interesting to see how diamonds are polished, the importance according to the faces it has, its shine, size. A short walk, visit the factory, see people working in the place with the diamonds. And then an offer to bring a souvenir ..

Worth knowing. Place shows the work of cutting the stones until cutting. In very well organized visits it is possible to see the most rudimentary tools in the museum until the work of polishing stones and finished More

They show you how the diamond is processed before it has the final shape

It s an wonderful experience being here and unlike other places where they push you to buy something, here they were genuine. They genuinely explain the science and business behind the diamond trade and quality. You don t feel intimidated here but would have a flair to buy. Glad we took this trip and bought. The free breaches was part of hospitality. Great tour Gassan establishment, good to know about Mr. Samuel Gassan history.
Great buy in their store and they clearly explain on the tax return too. Liked the service and good visit.

Free ride included when buying a ticket for the City Sightseeing Hop on Hop off bus. It is interesting just to see how diamonds are polished and only lasts 30 minutes.

Their free tour is more of a sales pitch, but if you are into Diamonds there is a good selection and then the price is excellent, ie on the tour, for the diamonds you have to have the big money bag with.

Not sure what to think of it. It's free so I think people shouldn't complain too much about that it is more a place to try to sell you stuff (it's a company so makes sense). I actually learned a bit about it and I thought the history of the owners was quite interesting. We booked a tour at 14:00. The friendly woman at the reception it was in 5 min so we went to the museumshop and even before 14:00 the tour already started (probably because of the hop on/off visitors?). You have these tours daily so I thought that was a bit odd. Not really a factory visit but it was ok...

Too the hop on hop off tour that brought me to this posh factory with expensive diamonds collection. Will advise to see it.

I would not recommend to visit this place. Highly unprofessional, very commercial, stupid way to sell cheap diamonds for the price of real ones. No trust to such company. Really a waste of money to go there. It's a shame beautiful Amsterdam has such an ugly place.

Visited Gassan on a number of occasions but most recently to have my engagement ring repaired. We were greeted by a lovely lady called Odette, she gave us a few ideas on how to repair and stop any future damage which was very helpful.

Very interesting tour in the world of diamonds with an explanation on diamond making very well. Possibility to see the different diamonds.

One of the places I liked to visit because of the wonderful cordial helpful girls that they have there. Claudia was the best. She not only showed us around but helped us with what we needed and very honestly told us against buying expensive stuff just for the sake of it. Other sales shop staff was equally wonderful and helpful. Thank you for the wonderful experience at Gassan.

Historic place. Excellent and refined creations in jewelry and watches with the master jewelers showing their activity.

It is an entertaining visit and is included using the barge or tourist buses, they explain the different types of diamonds that exist and with real diamonds. Of course, all in English.

We made the free guided tour in Spanish with Maite. Entertaining and very interesting experience despite its short duration. Maite was very polite and pleasant at all times. Recommended if you have time.

Free tour as part of sightseeing hop on hop off bus. Tour guide very friendly and gave us lots of information-which I personally never knew about diamonds. Worth visiting.

The guide was rude and it came over as if she wanted to get rid of us as soon as possible, whether it was due to the precious diamond or our group, you can not say

They have a free tour, but it's really just one big sales pitch for their diamonds. If you're not actually in the market for some jewelry, there is no reason to go here.

A place with the most wonderful and impressive diamonds in the world, very complete tourist attention and the tour is incredible, a place to dream and why not to acquire any garment if there is clear money !! LOL

Was there in december 2019 and got an amazing reception!
This was the only store that could/would get me the watch I wanted, as it was a special edition Hamilton onlye ment for the Asian market.

But if you are visiting this store you should have a good budget because they have so much beautiful items and a great selection of watches!

They do make great articles but don't allow you to take pics nor give you the model number to check it out online. So you have to decide on spot if you want to buy one or not.

Lovely museum section dedicated to explaining, and showcasing, the history and craftsmanship of diamonds.
Absolutely no laboratory diamonds.

I had visited Gassan Diamond factory at Amsterdam 3rd January,2020 with my wife. It was wonderful experience, the guide took us on tour of the factory and explained in detail about cutting polishing of diamond with demostration. They showed us variety of diamonds and explained about the quality, here we show exclusive collection of top brand watches, diamonds and jewelry. They also told us history of the Gassan Diamond. We enjoyed the trip .

I met him through an excursion. I was negatively impacted by the diamond source map. Too much waste

It like a simple jewelry. Not to much to see. There is no museum no demonstration of the process of creating diamonds.

On the first floor, Pandora is sold, and the local is 9% off.
The style is also quite complete.

The visit is very interesting to better understand the diamonds history.
Gassan company is a perfect example of this history and a good opportunity to mix personal story with global history.
The staff is nice and takes some time to explain how things work and show some diamonds to visitors.
Of course, we have been presented some diamonds to buy... But this will be for another time...

An interesting tour was with an explanation of the basic concepts in working with diamonds. In the end, we looked at examples of various cuts and colors. I advise.
