Garber United Methodist Church: A Place of Worship, Community, and Service
Garber United Methodist Church is a vibrant and welcoming community of faith located in New Bern, North Carolina. With a rich history dating back to 1884, Garber Church has been serving the spiritual needs of its members and the wider community for over a century.
At Garber Church, we believe that worship is at the heart of our faith. We offer two Sunday morning services to accommodate different schedules and preferences. Our 8am service takes place in the sanctuary and offers a more traditional style of worship with hymns, liturgy, and communion. Our 11am service takes place in Morris Hall and features contemporary music led by our praise band.
In addition to our Sunday services, we offer a variety of programs for children, youth, and adults throughout the week. Our Sunday School classes provide opportunities for learning and fellowship for all ages. We also have small groups that meet regularly for Bible study, prayer, or other shared interests.
At Garber Church, we are committed to serving others both locally and globally. We support several local ministries such as Religious Community Services (RCS) which provides food assistance to those in need in Craven County. We also partner with international organizations such as Imagine No Malaria which works to eradicate malaria in Africa.
We believe that everyone is welcome at Garber Church regardless of their background or beliefs. Whether you are new to church or have been attending for years; whether you are seeking answers or simply looking for community; whether you are young or old – there is a place for you here.
