It has a good view, good service, has a cart that takes you to the rooms from the entrance, a bus that will leave you to the beach and pick you up, the bathrooms are translucent and you see everything you do or your couple, that is the worst, if you want to relax, I think it is better to find another place where the bathroom does not bother you so much, it is the worst thing that I spent in the whole stay, no matter how much they pay, you always see what your companion does in bathroom.

Hotel Gaia - the best view in all of Manual Antonio- the sunsets and mornings with Macaws are unreal. The staff was attentive and tended to our every need. Such an incredible experience cannot recommend enough!
Location and ambiance is amazing. Food is decent, but not great for the price. We reached the restaurant around 6:45 and the person at the front said since we don't have a reservation, we might have to wait for around 30 minutes. Which we politely agreed to. Around 7:30 they said reservation may be available around 8:30. Since we already had spent so much time and most of the decent restaurants were far away, we weren't left with any other choice. The reason i hated this place is that people who didn't have a reservation and came after us, got seated before us! which is ridiculous. And for all the time we were there, the restaurant was about 25% empty with several empty tables. Finally, when we were seated, we were given a table closest to the cashier, had no table candlelight - when in fact there were better seating arrangements available. this kind of treatment just because we didnt have a reservation is the worst we've had GLOBALLY!!! A restaurant with better operations management could have accommodated and treated us better. not recommended!!!
My wife and I had a wonderful experience at this fantastic resort. I must say that you have to leave your room and get out from in front of the TV in order to find something to do! There were a multitude of wonderful activities in which to participate, and GAIA will arrange them for you if you only ask.(A personal concierge is assigned to each guest. Candy was ours, and she was knowledgeable and extremely helpful). The onsite reserve was very interesting, and Juan was a great guide both there and at Manuel Antonio. The staff was incredible, from the owner on down. The owner's staff understands and buys in to his sense of mission. I can't recommend GAIA more highly.
Concierge Andres he was amazing helped us with everything we could think of. The restaurant was amazing Ricardo was our waiter so nice and helpful. Wendy at the spa was amazing so sweet. Best massage ever. Walking tour with Juan was amazing. Definitely want to come back.
We love it, we celebrated our anniversary in Gaia and it WAS the best choice, since you arrive you are treated like family really are super professionals all the staff, super attentive and Wow the food very good and More
I have not stayed in the hotel as we have a house in this area. I did get married at the restaurant and it was very special. I have enjoyed massage from a few over the years, but I have to say Wendy gives a superb massage. If you come and do not book services with her, you have made a big mistake and missed a great opportunity. She will melt your cares away. There are many choices for massage. There is a wide array of salon services. Gaia is exceptional and never disappoints. . It is an absolute jewel!
Little white faced monkeys for breakfast??? No we didn't eat them, but they did show up to join us for our meal. They are sooo cute. Until they steal your reading glasses. The staff is freaking unbelievable, the food is scrumptuious and beautiful, our suite is so wonderful I'm not sure if Karen is going home with me and the shower... OMG! And don't forget the view. Rainforrest as far as the eye can see backed by the big blue Pacific Ocean. If you are coming to Costa Rica trust me, this is the only place to stay.
I stayed here over Christmas. The only reason I m not awarding Gaia 5 Stars is because I was mislead by the Adults Only in their title. There were many families there with adolescents. I can assure you they weren t adults. Other than that, the property is spectacular. The food and staff give you amazing service but you do feel obligated to give tips to everyone who offers you service (you don t have to but it s implied). It s not as romantic with families there but if that s not your purpose, then this place is very high quality, exercising very high standards.
Nothing short of perfection! From the time we checked in to the time we checked out every detail was met with utmost attention! The staff was so friendly and the owner greeted us on arrival. Our room was setup with the romance package for our anniversary and it was beautiful! The bedding was comfortable, great showers and room amenities, and every single dish at the restaurant was delicious. We enjoyed a day at the pool all to ourselves when we were not on one of the tours the hotel expertly organized for us - highly recommend the Manuel Antonio tour with Josue. We were also so excited with the wildlife we saw right from our balcony - monkeys, macaws, lizards! We will definitely be back and will send all our friends to Gaia!
Amazing drinks and delicious food. You park down, then they take you up the hill to the restaurant through a golf cart. This place has good one of the best chefs in town. A must visit. The place is neither too expensive nor too cheap. We were a group of 11 people and ordered more than 50% of their menu. Servers are pretty friendly.
We went to the free macaw tour and it was AMAZING. The guide was so knowledgeable and spoke multiple languages. All you have to do is call and ask to get on their next tour, and they'll schedule you for that afternoon or in the next couple of days. Tours start at 3:30 pm. They have a macaw rehabilitation center here where they take ones that were in the pet trade and retrain them to be released into the wild. You can really tell their efforts are working because many more macaws are visible all around the area & town. Here at Gaia you can see the facility, and watch them from an elevated viewpoint platform in the trees. Highly recommended.
I can't say enough good things about this stunning hotel. Perched high in the hills surrounded by lush jungle, this truly is Paradise. Everything here is Immaculate and well-designed. Within minutes of arriving, we saw a sloth in a tree next to the pool! The most incredible part of Gaia is the staff. Everyone who works here is so nice and helpful. I have never experienced this level of service. The best part is that the staff seem to sincerely enjoy their jobs so I can relax guilt-free. Pura Vida.
La Luna is the best restaurant in town. Relaxed yet somewhat elegant. Service is superb. Friendly and professional staff. Costa Rican-Caribbean fusion.
Incredibly poor. Not a 5 star hotel. The bathroom was dirty. The stairs were rusty. There were old water stains on the floor at the door and water penetration signs on the ceilings in the room which the management had tried to paint over. This was and is a very bad experience. I would not recommend this hotel nor Expedia through which the booking was made.
