Signed up with GAF Energy for new roof and solar shingles in august 2025. It has been a nightmare. They laid off the installers the week before my electrical install in September and thus had to wait two months for them to get another contractor. They messed up the paperwork multiple times to get to PTO. Still four months later still no operating solar system! As I try to escalate I have found out they let go a lot of people—not just those at the plant in CA. Also was told they are pulling out of Texas, where they just put the new plant and moved HQ, and no longer selling there. they are only selling on West and East coast where electric prices are higher. So I am now screwed from a support perpective and lost money! Run away from this company. Lack of communication internally, people leaving and they don’t care care, and have no transparency. Next step is legal action.
