Future Link MD: Empowering Low-Income Young Adults to Achieve Economic Self-Sufficiency

Future Link is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to empowering low-income, first-generation-to-college young adults with the tools, skills and resources they need to achieve lasting economic self-sufficiency. The organization was founded in 2003 by a group of community leaders who recognized the need for an organization that could help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds overcome the barriers that prevent them from achieving their full potential.

At Future Link, we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed in life, regardless of their background or circumstances. We are committed to providing our clients with the support they need to achieve their goals and build a better future for themselves and their families.

Our programs are designed to help our clients develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in today's competitive job market. We offer a range of services, including career counseling, job training, financial literacy education, and mentoring. Our team of experienced professionals works closely with each client to develop an individualized plan that meets their unique needs and goals.

One of our core programs is our Career Academy program. This program provides intensive job training and career development services for young adults who are looking for employment or seeking advancement in their current careers. Through this program, we help our clients develop essential workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving and time management.

Another key component of our work is financial literacy education. We recognize that many low-income young adults lack basic financial knowledge and skills needed for long-term success. Our financial literacy workshops cover topics such as budgeting, saving money, managing debt and building credit.

In addition to these core programs, we also offer mentoring services through partnerships with local businesses and community organizations. Our mentors provide guidance on career development strategies as well as personal growth opportunities such as leadership development.
