A beautiful & iconic shrine in Japan. The bottom of the shrine was extremely crowded. So, we took the side route up the mountain, which took us past smaller shrines, through beautiful forest & essentially by-passed majority of fellow tourists. Not as many people reached the top of the shrine, so it was a lot more of a tranquil atmosphere. The red shrines really are a very unique sight to see. The hike is further than you would expect so definitely bring some water along with you.
Really beautifull place but try to go early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid the crowds. Also going up the top isn't necessary since the best view is from the halfwaypoint.
It s good to have a pace when walking up the mountain, there are little shops on the way up to stop at for a rest, drink or something sweet to boost energy levels.
Great amazing shots to be had, a lot of people but you will find a break in the crowd when to take a good photo.
Walk to the top of Mt Inari and get photos without the crowds
Heaps of people visiting so it was crowded, but worth stopping all the same.
Worth the trip! Climb to the top. You'll get better photos...it is a bit of a trek but manageable with comfy shoes
If you are coming to Japan this is a must see, but if your group includes people that might have a hard time taking a long trek it might not be ideal though.
Breathtaking shrine with beautiful locations for you to take photos. I absolutely recommend you visit this place if you have the chance.
